I agree this place is puzzling and not very helpful. The man who waited on me was not in a very good mood and wanted to argue his points. It was a very uncomfortable first impression. Will not go back.

Jim kept me waiting for over 6 months for rope lighting he could only get in for the holiday season, only to find out he wasn’t getting it in. After several follow up calls he finally told me the truth.

Our chandelier had a bolt(hickey) break and when we went to Home Depot to replace it, we were told that we would need to go to a specialty lighting store to replace it. We chose Accent Lighting Design to try out and were met by Ryan as we walked through the door. I handed him the broken bolt, he walked to the back, and then returned with one similar to what we brought in. I asked how much it was and he said it was on the house. The only thing he asked was that if we ever needed a specialty light built, to give them a shot. That’s his specialty. That bolt saved us from having to buy a new chandelier. In this modern day it is so rare but refreshing to have a business that cares more about me than the money in my pocket.

I can’t figure this place out. Seems like they buy old lighting fixtures(which is cool), but when I asked for some specific information on lights, their«Lighting Consultant» gave me wrong information, not just once, but several times. Also, what kind of lighting place keeps all their stuff dusty? This is one of those puzzles in San Marcos — I guess he does a lot of commercial business, because as a consumer, I’m not buying here…
