49’er Bar & Grill

Holy crap!
Haven’t been here since Russ and Deb owned it.
Was always a dive bar but in a good way.
Now it has taken the last fall and should be closed.
Sometimes you can never go back to the good old days!

Stopped by for some quick Mexican. I found one guy working the whole place. But, it was all right, since I was only one of two customers at the time.
Once the food was ready, I learned that they only accept cash. That was very authentic. So, after a ten minute foray to a nearby ATM, I came back and paid.
Quite frankly, the whole place wreaks of a dirty Mexican joint. I should know, I used to work at one. The nearby population has a fairly large ethnic Mexican population, so I think it’s a safe assumption that the place gets en fuego durante el noche.
So, let’s talk food. The menu is limited during the morning. I got the carne asada burrito and fish tacos. I got a Coke, too. But, I forgot that… Probably better off. Food was suitable for human consumption. The guy gave me «chipotle salsa,» which was very creamy, actually. It was good and mixed well.
I’ll go back! Maybe even to bailar con amigos.
