Visited this winery in May 2015 and spent a great deal of time talking with the owner. Very nice man. Bought several of the varietals and several bottles of wine. This was a big wine weekend for us as we limoed it around the greater Paso Robles area. Tonight was the first time we have cracked open a bottle of Wolff from our«wine cave». Had a yummy bottle of 2011 Chardonnay. Very good and now wished I would have bought more of it, LOL!

We’ve driven by the sign many times and finally decided to stop in. You take a small road off of Orcutt, through the vineyards, up to the tasting room. The tasting room sits atop a hill with great views and is far enough off the road to give the real sense of escape. They have an indoor tasting room and a patio where you can do your tasting if you prefer. An intimate(read: on the smaller side) bar is inside which encourages you to interact with others who are tasting. We enjoyed the experience and the people pouring wine. Very knowledgeable staff and the conversation feels genuine. Now, to the wines. We loved the wines. It isn’t often that the whole list fits our palate so well. As we worked our way down the list we could taste the nuances the winemaker was trying to bring out in each varietal and he consistently hit the mark. Most of the wines tasted like they were ready to drink now, but some of the darker reds would probably hold up to aging as well. Buy a bottle and the tasting fee is waived, meaning, you should leave Wolff with at least one bottle. We didn’t sign up for the wine club but we are still talking about it. We will definitely be back with friends and visitors.

Wolves may not be the world’s most refined wine critics, but they do know what they like. Crisp, fruit-forward, mineral-rich Riesling for example. Old-vine Chardonnay for another. And when they want more red-blooded fare, they crack open a bottle of smoke and spice Syrah from the cellar, they reach for that elusive bottle of Tyrolean red, Teroldego, which ripens so late but drinks so early, like a Barbera or Zweigelt grown in ancient European soils. And to top it all off, you can try these wines in a casual and friendly setting, a simple tasting room set in the middle of acres of well-tended wines, with Edna Valley views of green, yellow, and brown sweeping out in all directions. So might well find yourself howling at the moon in appreciation. If not, uncap a bottle of Riesling and see if that makes a difference. Come early here, between 11am and noon, to savor the quiet and simplicity of the place. Sample the full range of wines on offer, as you just might be surprised by what you find. Family-owned placed like this have a certain ambiance that Napa Valley just can’t match, and that the nearby Paso Robles wine trails have largely left behind. It’s not that the Edna Valley is a sleepy place — SLO is too close for that to be the case, and this makes it different than spots like the Anderson Valley. Maybe more like Walla Walla, or the Dry Creek Valley, or the Santa Inez wineries in nearby Santa Barbara. In the end, it’s unlike anything other than Edna Valley, which is why places like Wolff are so worth your while. Try the Teroldego! Even if you don’t buy a bottle, as I did, you’ll have had an adventure in tasting that few other wineries in the state can offer.

I visited this winery recently and loved it! The setting is on a hill overlooking the vineyard, because it was early, not many people were there to share the small tasting room with. Clint poured 5 wines, which were all good for various reasons. I enjoyed the personality or each wine, and ended up taking home the Chardonnay, and the Syrah. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the wine, and we will definitely come back to enjoy this vineyard again. If I lived closer, this would be at the top of my list to visit on a regular basis. Excellent wine, fun enviornment, and family owned SIP certified wines. Come here and ENJOY!

Wolff was our third stop on our little tour. Mark and Christy welcomed us. The wines were spectacular as was the setting. Out of all 4 vineyards we went to, this was our favorite all around. They also have a wine club which offers discounts and special events. We will be back!

I really enjoy this vineyard. Overlooking the Edna Valley in the Central Coast. The vineyard has panoramic views and is situated 4.8 miles from Pacific Ocean providing an ideal mild climate. The vineyard includes 55 acres of old wines Chardonnay and 55 acres of Riesling, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Petite Sirah and rare Italian varietal, Teroldego. Worth a visit!!!

Wow. This is a great family run winery. My wife and I were visiting Edna Valley from Chicago. Clint Wolff was running the tasting room. We had 7 great regional wines — especially the Pinot Noir and Petite Sirah. I would recommend this winery and their wine club.

The syrah and petit sirah are very good, the blend is bold and hits you up front. Skip the whites though unless you like buttery chardonnays. The views are very nice since the winery is up on a small hill.

Pretty good vineyard while I was on a weekend visit in SLO. We came by with a pretty large group, and luckily they were able to accommodate us as we didn’t have reservations. They don’t have too much seating but it is a smaller winery. Since we were in a large group, they only had plastic tables for wine tasting, it seemed like more fun to drink off of the barrel-tables they had. There’s a small garden here and it’s very pretty, you can get a couple of scenic views here. As for the wine tasting, they charge a $ 15 fee to taste the 7 of their wines. The wine fee is waived if you buy a bottle from them though, so that was a big plus! Overall, the wines were ok. My favorites ended up being the Petite Sirah followed by the Chardonnay. Unfortunately, one of their more exclusive wines, the teroldego wasn’t a hit with anyone in our group really. This place is a really nice winery located down near SLO. The family is super friendly and showed us all a great time! Overall, it’s a good place to stop by if you’re passing through. *One small edit, I believe it’s a $ 15 tasting fee if you’re in a group. If you’re not, then it’s only $ 10 I think.

Not easy to get to since GPS is messed up — went ‘old school’ and looked for address number. Went here after tasting really good 2012 Petite Sirah at Mama’s Meatballs in San Luis Obispo. Friendly staff and we purchased. Cool, relaxed outdoor seating. Very scenic and chilled to hang out for few hours. Lots of foot traffic so people know a good place. Would go again.

Great view from the patio, a nice place to bring some snacks and enjoy a tasting. A couple nice well behaved dogs hang out with you while you are enjoying your tasting. The Old Vine Chardonnay, Red Wolff, Syrah and Petite Syrah were all good. Many of the wines are particularly good with a cheddar based cracker so bring some! Tasting fee is $ 8 waived per bottle purchased($ 10 for groups of 8 or more). All wines under $ 30 per bottle(regular price). Sammie the dog is gorgeous and well behaved! Brixie is the old English Lab — they used to have a «Brixie’s red» that was a really nice table wine — I believe this is now the Red Wolff.

What a nice break from the beach of Pismo, just 7 short country miles to a hilltop vineyard. Not only do they have some very good wine but their friendly and knowledgable folks make this a true find.

We got there right before they close, but they still welcomed us and we were able to taste every wine on their list. Their tasting cost $ 8 per person. but the money goes toward the bottle if you purchase one. We were able to find the wine we really liked and bought two bottles.

Beautiful views of the fields and flowers on their patio, nice people, great wine — what more do you need? Although the wine wasn’t the best I’ve ever had — it was still delicious. It was $ 8 per tasting but the tasting is waived if you buy a bottle. Wolff is one of the oldest wineries in the area and the grounds are beautiful! I saw a lot of people bring cheese and crackers or a picnic lunch — I didn’t even think of this. What a great idea!
