Steve F. Maybe you should not be a slumlord and provide your tennant with a safe environment to live in. Your tennant asked me to check an area where a water heater had leaked(and was never properly repaired). I have an obligation to be honest and objective. I found mold plain and simple(I have photos to prove«what I think»)and the reverend directed me right to it. I did not snoop. If it was handled properly the first time mold would not be present. Furthermore I never created an estimate so your claims of a huge cost is a lie. Next time you write a review please do so with some integrity.

BEWARE. During the last winter rains I had a leak in one wall of a rental house that I own in SLO. I asked servpro to come and check that wall for residual moisture. They checked all around the house, they also snooped all over the place until they think, maybe there’s some mold. They might see it by looking with a flashlight through a crack under the cabinet in my laundry room nowhere near they place I asked them to inspect. They now recommend pulling off the granite, pulling out all the cabinets to spray some chemicals and GUESSWHAT – this is a service they are happy to provide at a huge cost. Now my tenant is panicked and I have another problem. HUGECONFLICTOFINTEREST. never again

Three years after I posted my review in 2011, the Owner must have found found my review, because I received an email from him apologizing for the overcharge. I was offered to be reimbursed for the overcharge, but have not taken them up on it. If I had water damage again I would call them, but I would get everything in writing, and ask them to break it up into a daily charge for equipment.

We had a huge bathroom overflow in our office. Very dirty water was coming our under the door and spilling into the carpet on the hallway. It was a pretty awful sight to see. We tried using towels and such to clean it up. When we came in the next morning, it was worse. Even though the leak had stopped, the water had soaked into more of the flooring and the office was very humid. We called Servpro and they came out with these huge dryers and de-humidifiers. They pulled up the carpet and got everything dry. Then they cleaned the carpet to. It was the best case fix I could imaging. In about a day, everything was back to normal. We had an excellent experience with them.

I would never even think about using them again. I called them up only because my friend used to work for them in Colorado and said they would get it done no problem. After a week of getting the run around, I was given an estimate that was so outrageous that I told them I would do it myself. All I wanted them to do was come clean my garage with a concrete floor. I had a mice problem and there was pee in every corner. I took everything out of the garage myself. I vacuumed up the entire garage and every wall and corner myself. I called Servpro to simply disinfect the area to get rid of the smell and make it safe for my son and pets again. I called them on a Tuesday morning and explained to the lady my situation and that I had already had all my bacteria ridden items laying in the front yard for the past 2 days. She told me she would have someone call me back to schedule a technician to come out and estimate it. The end of the day came around and I still had not received a call back. I called them back and asked why I had not received a call. She said she was still waiting for the technician and someone would call me the next morning(Wednesday). Wednesday morning comes around and I receive a call from a technician who tells me the earliest he can come out would be the fallowing day(Thursday). Thursday rolls around and he shows up late, but seems very friendly. He takes some pictures and tells me he will get back with an estimate to me. Friday I wait for his call and receive none. I call Friday to see what is happening and I apparently call about 10 minutes to late at 4:40pm and receive the after hours lady. She tries to tell me she will leave a message and someone would get back to me on Monday. I explain to her how frustrated I am by their service, or lack there of, and lack of communication. She then tells me she will give my message to the on call technician and I should receive a call in 10 to 15 minutes. 2 hours later I have not received a call. My boyfriends said he would give it a try and calls them up. She tells him the same thing that someone should call him back within 10 to 15 minutes. Well, Sunday night rolls around and neither of us have received a phone call. Monday morning the friend that used to work for the Colorado store called them up for me and proceeded to say a thing or two to them. He tells me to call them back. The lady tells me that they were still working on my estimate, but would email it to me when it was ready. 5 hours later I receive an outrages estimate claiming that in order to simply have someone come in and clean my garage floor and a futon or 2 would cost $ 1,649.27 and take 2 men 2 days to finish. That they would have all this hazardous material and handling fees, hemp air filters, and air scrubbing fees. Are you kidding me? I have already emptied the garage out completely and vacuumed every inch for them. All they have to do is come in, scrub the floors, squeegee them off, and walk away. Almost a week later my stuff is still sitting on my lawn and there is no way I will be paying them almost $ 1,700 to scrub my concrete floor. All this being said, keep in mind all I have gotten is an estimate. Who knows how long it would actually take them to get started, if I did plan on excepting their service. I have gotten, or am in the process of getting, 2 other estimates from other companies just in the past hour and ½. Save yourself the headache, just don’t bother.
