Hop On Beer Tours

Great time! We had a private party of 12 to celebrate my husband’s 50^th birthday. Jen was on time, courteous, and very knowledgeable about the local breweries. The bus was clean and stocked with snacks and waters. Scheduling for the tour was last minute on my part and they were very helpful and accommodating. Responses to emails were quick and they even called me so that we could make the tour details work for us. I would recommend Hop On (actually already have) and will definitely do it again!

Loved this company! These guys gave us a lift to different breweries for my bachelor party. They were a lot of fun and were pretty tolerant of our shenanigans. Then the very next day, they provided 3 vehicles to escort my wedding party to wineries around SLO valley. Totally awesome company. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

It’s odd. I am usually never inclined to write a review unless I’m complaining but I came here just to write how positive my tour was! Our driver Jen was very knowledgable — even about wines. She really made our entire experience one we will remember and I’m so glad that my friends booked this tour for our group! My husband and I will definitely be recommending to our friends in the area and can’t way for our next trip to SLO to check out more breweries.

I had a great time on our tour! Our driver Jen was very knowledgeable of all the breweries we visited and very helpful and accommodating to us. The tour bus is fun and provides all you need for your tour. Easily the best beer tour I have ever been on!

I would like to give you some feed back about in regards to a birthday celebration that should of been a fabulous time and it turned out to be an event of disaster, due the driver that we had.
First of all when we first entered the bus we all understood their would be rules, so there for the driver JENNIFER told us about the rules, 1 big rule of hers was do not cross the line. We all understood that one. However, one of the guys in our group had there foot over the line trying to ask the driver a question and due to the loud music instead of the driver turning down the music and telling the person in our group to please step back, the driver, slammed on her brakes like a SAVAGE, NOT pulling over carefully. I swear on my kids life she slammed on her breaks so hard that the guy when SLAMMING against the window, I went flying across the other side because I was in the middle. I’m sorry but that was not on called for, the drive should of just turned down the music and told the guy, «sir can you please not cross the line, not even an inch or I will have to pull over».
Second, she made dirty faces on the rear view mirror at all of us when she did not think we were looking. However, if she thinks we were being loud, hey it’s a beer bus PARTY, she should find a different occupation if she does not like the environment.
Third, when we got to our destination she did not even explain where to go and what to do. All the driver did is complain, she told us if we could please keep it down and we had asked her if people were complaining, she said no but just in case someone would complain. Then she felt threaten and that she had every right to leave us. What I did not understand no one told her anything. The driver made herself the victim when in realty we were the victims from her making us feel unwanted.
Fourth, she was talking bad about our party making us feel uncomfortable and making us feel un wanted with bartender and how do we know this, well the driver did not know we had people waiting for us at the second brewery and our friends were at the bar ordering drinks. While our driver goes to the bartender and starts talking to the bartender and starts saying we are bunch of drunks, we were threating her. I’m sorry not once did any one in our party did they disrespect her in anyway.
This is the first and last time I will use there service. In addition, I will never refer anyone to their company I would not want them to go through what we went through especially with the type of people they hire like JENNIFER.

Fantastic time! The bus was fully outfitted for easy drinking. Our driver, Jen, was super knowledgeable about the beers and breweries. Probably the best beer tour I’ve been on.

We did a surprise tour for a 22^nd birthday and Hop On was awesome every step of the way. They came early so that everyone to load the bus as a birthday surprise, communicated with me in the days leading up to the tour, and made sure everyone was comfortable throughout the day. Jenni had awesome recommendations for beers to try at each location and knew what would be on tap for us before we got there. She was also great about letting us know how much time we had at each brewery and gave us all a heads up when we had 15 minutes left. It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it!

I don’t know what bus all these reviewers were on but it sure wasn’t the same one that I was. The first thing was the driver was 20 minutes late, he called and told us no problem. Second thing was there are no seat belts in the van, heaven help the people in the back in a panic stop. Third the driver drove like a maniac, I’m a professional driver and he scared me to death. Fourth the driver didn’t have any rapport with his party, he drove. I have been on numerous wine tastings where the driver knew the staff at the wineries and got involved with our experience. No drinking of course.
I just feel like for the money we spent $$$ we didn’t get much.

This was such a fun experience! Brant, our tour guide, was extremely friendly and provided a lot of helpful information. We met wonderful people on this tour and I can’t wait to do this again during graduation weekend with my friends and family!

Great Experience. I’d recommend this to anyone and would definitely do it again. We did both wine and beer stops and they had reservations all set up everywhere we went. The bus has everything you need and the driver was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend you give them a try.

I went on a beer tour for my friend’s 22^nd birthday yesterday. Micah was AWESOME! He was so good at keeping us all on time and was fun to hang out with at all the breweries. I would totally recommend this company to everyone who is looking to have a good time. Thanks Micah!!!

We had a great experience while on our private tour, our party couldn’t decide between wine or beer so we did both awesome pricing and a great driver, Brant couldn’t had been any better we will definitely do this again thanks for an unforgettable experience

Everything was taken care of by the company while planning out the route for our day which was a 6 hour trip.

Micah was the best tour guide for hop on beer tours! We got to go tour Morro Bay, Arroyo Grande, and San Luis Obispo along the way trying some of the best breweries in the area. it was super fun and educational… He played cool music, offered a ice cold beverages and beer, snacks and was generally knowledgeable in the area of brewing as he is a fermentation science student and aficionado.

The social tour comes highly recommend. By who? By me!
It was awesome, affordable and a great way to tour some local breweries with other enthusiastic and friendly beer lovers.
Once we boarded the van Micah gave us a quick and friendly rundown, then gave us control of the environment including musical volume/​selection. They also encouraged comraderie between all the guests, and provided snacks and beer for our travels between stops.
The bus was on time, and it was just a really great way to spend a Sunday!
