Our experience with Carolyn Elliot exceeded all our expectations!
First and foremost, Carolyn is an extremely sweet and caring woman. She took time to explain the procedure to not only my wife, but to me as well. She allowed me to accompany my wife for support.
Carolyn’s background in nursing blends well with her unparalleled artistry & personally developed techniques to make for a sterile, virtually painless, comfortable, and overall wonderful experience.
Carolyn’s passion to help others reach their individual permanent cosmetic goals are met by using her unique and highly sought after skill set.
We still cannot believe we found someone who possesses all of the necessary and highly specialized skills in nursing, artistry, business, and who also has such a wonderful personality, exercised extreme patience, has unprecedented passion, and genuinely cares about others — all, which is so evident in her work and how she manages her office.
She is organized and very timely, which was also appreciated and helped my wife feel more comfortable as we did not spend any time waiting.
My wife’s self-​esteem went from a 2 to a 10 immediately after the procedure. You cannot put a price on that. We both cried as we witnessed the miraculous work Carolyn performed for my wife to create my wife’s new eyebrows she’d lost due to health reasons.
If anyone is considering permanent makeup, albiet for health reasons, or just to enhance your personal appearance, I would tell you do not hesitate. We researched thoroughly and Carolyn is the only RIGHT person for the job.
We love Carolyn Elliot — she changed my wife’s life in just a couple of hours, and for that I’m eternally grateful. It’s a beautiful thing to see someone you love and adore smile and cry happy tears because something, such as eyebrows that we all take for granted, was restored and look so lifelike.

I had a consultation with Carolyn and was really turned off by her high pressure and insulting sales tactics. I’ve had my eyebrows done three times and have been fine with the results, for the most part. When met with Carolyn, I told her I was speaking with other permanent makeup artists and would be making my decision after doing so. She told me that no one on the central coast was as good as her and that «you get what you pay for.» If you’re that good, why would you need to so broadly insult your competitors? I told her that I may not end up going with her and she replied «then you’ll just continue walking around looking unprofessional like you have been.» She reiterated throughout the consultation that either I have it done by her, or it would be done incorrectly — but that’s what I get for paying less than she charges.
Sorry. No thank you. I walked away after being insulted repeatedly, knowing that regardless of how good she is, she’s no one I would want to do business with.
Why would anyone want to insult women (her competitors and her clients)? There is plenty of business for her without having to resort to such offensive tactics.

Carolyn is wonderful, I had very thin and spotty eyebrows before I came in to see her and now they look lush and full! She is very thoughtful with her approach, spends time to make your eyebrows even and exactly the right color. The procedure itself was relatively quick and not that painful. I really enjoyed my time with Carolyn, I only wish I had more things to get done just so we could chat more! ~Thanks so much for everything, I truly appreciate you. :)

Carolyn gave me beautiful eyeliner and eyebrows. I had had them previously done by a professional in Palm Springs. My eyebrow color had changed to a pinky taupe, and my eyeliner was irregular. I now have beautiful hair stroke eyebrows and smooth, perfect eyeliner!!! She is a professional in every sense, and truly takes care to get it right-​I cannot recommend her highly enough!

I have or should say had eyebrows that were very thin and nonexistent to the outside of my eyes. I was so tired of drawing them on daily and frankly not that good at it. I saw a magazine with an ad for Carolyn Elliott and checked out all of her before and after photos before deciding on the consult. I had to wait for approx a month but that is because when you are as good as Carolyn you are busy! She did the best job and told me that after 30 days she would fix anything I wasn’t happy with. Well i had one eyebrow that didn’t take the ink as well in the middle so called her. She happily booked my next appt sooner I might add and agreed with my assessment. She is such a perfectionist she even saw an area on the other brow she wanted to touch up as well. This was included with my original fee. I would highly recommend the hair stroke brow enhancement that she does to anyone who is considering having brows done. Friends I had not seen in several months kept saying you look so good what have you been doing? They didn’t realize it was the eyebrows until I told them I’d had them done. Love it!

I found Carolyn on Facebook and watched her posts and photos for a few months. After seeing some amazing permanent makeup artistry, I decided to schedule consult and appointment. She not only is extremely professional, but also a perfectionist! – This woman is VERY experienced with a medical background as nurse and is also the best permanent makeup artist I’ve seen! –I had a terrible job done with another local «permanent makeup artist» prior to coming to Carolyn. She transformed amateur sloppy work into a perfect artistically done permanent eyeliner. I highly recommend her and definitely discourage anyone from using a less experienced and knowledgeable permanent makeup artist.

I had my eyeliner done by Carolyn back in 2009, and my eyes still look great! This review is a long-​time coming, but I want everyone to know what a great and professional job Carolyn does. .. my eyebrows are next!

Carolyn is always keeping up with her craft. Attending seminars, classes, and learning tricks of her trade. She is amazing. I receive compliments anytime I’m out and about. If I swim, etc… People start asking question after question because my make up doesn’t run and they LOVE the quality. It looks real. I recommend her 100%. Her procedure room is clean, she keeps everything sterile, I’ve been going to her for years now! Call her, you won’t be disappointed!

She does amazing with the permanent cosmetics. My mom got hair stroke eyebrows and loves them. HOWEVER, I asked her if a procedure she does would help with my dark post acne marks and she told me yes. $ 500.00 later… Absolutely NO IMPROVEMENT. I feel she lied straight to my face. And it was a painful procedure. I pretty much just funded her vacation to Tahiti or Thailand or wherever she was bragging she went to. NOT COOL. She stole from me. But I didn’t want to piss her off cuz she was doing my mom’s eyebrows. Go to her only if you want permanent cosmetics!

I was impressed with Carolyn from the beginning with my consult, she listened to what I wanted and offered suggestions of what she could do. I wanted fuller lips that would camouflage my wrinkles! Her work speaks for itself, she accomplished exactly what I was wanting. Carolyn is professional, a true artist! It’s been a few months and I love my lips and can’t wait to have her fix the mess that someone years ago did to my eyeliner! I met with Carolyn for my consultation and immediately felt comfortable with her. She knows her business and is very professional and knowledgeable about permanent makeup. She was able to see that in my previous eyebrow tattoos (years ago) that the technician and used a ink lightening solution that should never be used – it basically whitened the skin where it was tattooed. We talked about the different options for my permanent eyebrows and she made me feel confident in my decision to have her proceed.
The day of my appointment she was all ready for me and excited to do my brows – you can tell she LOVES her work. Well, she should!!! From the minute she was finished you could tell she had done AMAZING work. It almost looked like I had an eyelift?!? My eyebrows were almost invisible before and she is an artist for how she made them look SO real!!! I could not be happier!
My hair stylist a few days later said they were the best permanent brows she has ever seen and yesterday at my dermatologist – the staff went crazy! They couldn’t believe how real they looked. They asked where she was located and I told them San Luis Obispo (the doctor is in Santa Barbara a few hours away). They all agreed it would be worth the drive for that flawless technique.
Myself, I drove over an hour for my appointments and I would have driven to the moon. I am SO happy with my results – it has only been 1 ½ weeks since my procedure. It is so much fun to wake up and have eyebrows and not have to constantly pencil or dye them to constantly. I highly recommend Carolyn Elliot and I can’t wait to go back and THANK YOU Carolyn for brightening my days :)
