Cal Park was very compelling – the rooms are big, huge closet, close to campus, etc. However, living there was somewhat of a nightmare. There were always cars parked there who didn’t have a permit and the on site manager, Carl, was rarely there when these events occurred and when he was he never did anything about it other than warn the people countless times. Other issues – the plumbing is horrible, the sinks and showers take forever to drain, our disposal never worked(we asked multiple times to get it fixed), when we moved in our stove fan was broken and it took over 4 months to get fixed and the washing machines and dryers are ancient and have torn my clothes. Lastly, many tenants were rowdy and had loud parties(not just on the weekends) and Carl would never be home if there were issues regarding them. My friends lived here when Chris was the on site manager and it was much more professional and a better living environment. Glad to say I’ll never be back!

After dealing with such horrible realtor(McNarmara Realty Inc), I figured I should Unilocal good things about this apartment complex: D. I’ve lived here for two years and it was pretty good! I highly recommend this place since rent around SLO is getting really expensive. Why should you rent this place? 1. The bedrooms are huge(Two bedrooms) 2. The closets are huge. Big plus, especially for girls :). 3. It’s only a 10 minute walk to the engineering building! 4. The manager, Chris, is super awesome and helpful! 5. The neighbors are fun and you’re least likely to get a noise violation(This is important!) 6. The apartments are clean. Chris does a great job at cleaning it before you move in. 7. There’s a bathroom in each room! 8. The fridge size is big compared to other apartment complexes. 9. Lots of storage space! 10. Lots of cabinet space in the kitchen Here are some cons but it shouldn’t make you not want to live here :). 1. Parking lot is small. Sometimes, I would come home at 1am from the library and there won’t be any parkings :(. 2. The walls are thin. You can hear your neighbors having sex! Next door and upstairs!

Was a great experience living here for a year, primarily because of the people that lived around us. 10 mins walking to Poly and right on California(lots of traffic). We had large bedrooms and private bathrooms and a great big closet! Everything usually worked well — but if there was something wrong, Chris, the manager, was pretty quick in responding to the problem. If you’re having guests over — parking can be tough and there are chances that non-tenant cars can be towed. It depends on the group that lives there each year but our year it was quiet during the day and was pretty alive at night or weekends with music, parties, socializing(walls can be pretty thin.). They did take away a ton on our deposit on house cleaning after we left, even though we cleaned pretty well.

Cons: — Small living room — i hate having a bedroom window that people can see into from the front — i hate the parking lot cause theres not enough! rent is cheap too!
