I miss the previous owners! The place used to be cleaner and the Asian family was so nice. The food was incredible before. I feel bad because I used to remember their names fourteen years ago having gone there every day but, It used to be an Asian husband and wife running it. They were very nice and even invited me to their church having talked about it in the past.

Zero stars Hear me out. This place is a complete dump. They have an ok location being part of a business park in San Leandro, but the quality is sub-par. Everything is obviously from Costco. They don’t even take some of the items out of the package and leave full boxes on the counter. «You too can own your very own restaurant… all you need is a Costco membership card». I would never go here if this was by my house. I would never go here if it required me to drive there. Serious statement here — I was in there today and there was a person that appeared to be from the health department. He had a badge and a clipboard. He went up to the lady behind the counter, showed his badge, and requested to do an inspection. He said«Wait here, I need to service customers». She made him wait for a good 10 minutes before she granted him permission to inspect the facilities. During that 10 minutes, some old guy emerges from the back kitchen area and puts gloves on and starts franticly cleaning various parts of the kitchen in the front. I am no detective, but it would appear the lady was killing some time for the old man to clean up prior to a health inspection.

Lovely and friendly couple who runs the shop. Totally worth the quick step across from my dad’s office for a solid sammich and drink. :D

This place is great, there aren’t many choices if you work in this area… they make excellent grilled sandwiches and also have a full buffet for lunch every day. Their salad bar rocks, it is always clean and has an excellent selection of things I like. Most days, they have some sushi out and it’s surprisingly good. I’m a big salad bar person, so I’m really happy that they have so many toppings for salads; hardboiled eggs, pepperoncinis, stuffed olives, potato salad, crab salad, even those mexican vegetables that have been pickled, they have those! Love this place, and the owner is super sweet too.

Decent lunch spot near my work. It’s good quality food that is a clear step above anything else in the area without driving. Some recommended improvements if the owner or manager is reading this: — The soup is great. But change it up daily. I think you guys are using the same soup that was in the bucket from the day before and the day before and the day before. I imagine the the bucket doesn’t change throughout the week. — Come down on your price. All the sandwiches are 5.95 or so. They include no drink or side. More effectivley design a sandwich lunch option that includes a drink and a side(chips or fries or salad or soup). If you buy any sandwich, drink, and chips, your lunch is going to be at least 9+ which is ridiculous for a working class area. — Burger is good hear, but always a little too wet and greasy. Clean your burgers better before putting them on the bun. — Vary up the lunch buffet a bit. Every dish is the same, day after day after day after day… Other than those complaints, which is the reason I don’t go more than once a week, this place is alright. Peace. RGB

Very slow services… waited 20 minutes for a club sandwich… the food was ok, pretty cheap, easy parking, tables outside and indoors. C-/C

Way to expensive! They over charge you for everything. Have found hair in my sandwich and took it back and got no apology. I actually got attitude from the guy like it was my fault a their hair got in my sandwich! Never going back.

Wow — I am surprised by all of the positive reviews on here. I had a turkey sanwitch, chips and a drink and it cost me over 9.00. The only other options are a very weak salad bar or some pre-cooked food that has been sitting around all afternoon. I will not be returning.

//O C C A S I O N I was in the area and was famished, this was one of the only food spots within 5 miles. //F O O D — Reuben hot sandwhich w/sauerkraut and pastrami: It was decent, the rye bread didn’t taste fresh and was wet from the loads of sauerkraut on it. But if you enjoy the mix, you’ll have a decent lunch. //S E R V I C E — No line and an attentive cashier who takes your order. //O T H E R — Ambiance like a Chinese buffet diner but only with a measly salad bar. Workers weren’t attentive and food was mediocre.

Nothing fancy. Tucked away in an industrial park is this little lunch spot. A friendly Asian sttake goods good care of you. Nothing special. Reminds me of my favorite greasy spoon places back east. Just a good lunch in a dive-like setting. Absolutely no ambience. The French bread is really good, and you can get it on the chicken Caesar sandwich — a good sandwich, but the bread is outstanding. Not much else to say about this one except it’s close to Oakland airport. Reaching for 3 stars.

This is quickly becomming one of my favorite lunch spots. I have gotten the Chicken Caesar sandwich twice ’cause it’s really good. My co-workers have all gotten varieties of sandwiches and they’ve all looked pretty phenomenal. The have a salad bar and a small buffet that I’ve yet to try.(mostly because they weigh your food and charge you by weight, and I’m scared that I might do some serious damage.) If you work in the area, check it out!

Pricey but worth it. I mean, you COULD get a 12″ subway sammy for $ 5 and have a totally blah lunch — or you could go here and have a homemade, tasty sandwich for $ 7. They have a very good buffet available plus daily specials. The place is clean and well organized. I especially like the family that owns this place. They’re so nice, they make me feel like i’m at home with them in their kitchen.

For this to be such a small place that most would never find tucked in an industrial area, this place is the bomb. If you become a regular to this place, the owner will remember you by name. The first time I went to the Cheese, I tried the teriyaki chicken sandwich. My palet was completely delighted once I expirienced the combination of fresh grilled chicken with a homemade teriyaki sauce, pepperoncini’s, tomatoes and pickles. Everything there is fresh. They also have a salad bar where they make homemade items such as a garden medley, fresh fruit and veggies, grilled chicken, lasagna and much more depending on the day. Overall, great place to eat incognito.
