Hands down the best dog walkers in town. I deal mostly with Pam, who does most of the leashed walks. She has been a wonderful resource. She is very knowledgable and experienced in a wide variety of dog behavioral and need based topics. I have been using their services for a few months now and have no concerns. Great couple to trust your buddy to!

I recently relocated from SF to San Leandro with two 14 year old Jack Russells. I was very concerned about finding the level of doggy support I had become accustomed too. Pam has proven to be the best, and eliminated any anxiety I had about continued care for two beloved, aging, companions. She has gone out of her way to give me updates on their daily walks, offering valuable suggestions for their transition to a new living situation, recommending a great vet, and in general giving me utter confidence that my two loyal pets were in the best of professional hands. I am incredibly pleased and grateful for finding Pam and Jerry. Thank you so much for your genuine care.

Jerry has been walking our sweet, furry ball of nerves for two months. He does a great job of paying attention to Sugar Bear’s behavior nuances while exercising him enough that the dog is mellower afterward. Lately I’ve been working from home more often than not, and Jerry is cool about the variations on locking, alarming and dealing with the dog’s initial confusion. ;)
Pam is terrific about sending notes and letting me know about fun photos on Facebook. My partner and I both appreciated the lengthy intake interview that Pam and Jerry gave us – really, just a long kibbitz with nice people.

Absolutely thrilled with their professionalism, level of care and concern about our cat. We haven’t had her that long (almost 6 months) and were concerned about being way for a few days and how she would respond to someone new. It seems she and Pam became fast friends and fell into a great routine.
Pam posted pictures on Facebook, which made us feel better that we were able to see how happy she was. They will do extras as well (put out the trash bins, bring in the mail, etc.), so it appears as if there is no change in the daily life around your home.
We are so happy with how everything went and the best part is that if you need to be gone just a day or two — they are happy to help out. The price is reasonable and the peace of mind you get for your pet to be in their own home is … priceless.

My furry guy just started with Pam and Jerry and in only a week, I’ve noticed an overall better, more lively dog! He gets walked a few times a week and even gets some obedience training on the side with Jerry. I am so satisfied with this service and with the level of genuine care my dog has received! I come home and he is all smiles and freshly exercised. They obviously care very much for the dogs and I have complete trust in them… even after knowing them for just a couple weeks. They have wonderful energy, are very positive, and highly invested into the well being of the dogs they care for. Pam and Jerry have been working with Daisy, a 3 year-​old German Shephard who I know, for seven months. Daisy needed training & guidance after my friend Paul died in Nov 2012. We’ve had the good fortune of being clients of Pam and Jerry since 2005, and I would never THINK of using anyone else to look after our 2 cats and aquarium when we are away. We’d gone the old route of begging favors of neighbors and friends, and finally made the move to go pro, and it’s never been the same since. At our first interview with Pam, I was immediately comfortable, and new we had found a true professional. Before, we used to come home to anxious, nervous cats, but now, with Pam in charge, we come home to happy, relaxed cats.
Pam and Jerry are top of the line, their rates are completely reasonable, and they take a deep, personal interest in what they do. Pam is the one I work with each time, and she has become a dear, personal friend. Because of her love and care, our cats don’t resent us when they can tell we are getting ready for a trip. They know they’re about to get lots of love and play time with Pam. She leaves detailed notes at the end of each assignment, and lets me know if there are any matters that raise concern.
She is happy to take special requests about feeding them, and will also water plants, bring in the mail and newspaper, take waste receptacles to the curb and back – the kinds of things you could only dream of asking for. She even kept my house from burning down when I forgot to turn off my toaster oven on a work day, and I was able to call her and she went in and turned it off! Twice! (My new one is on a timer, so that won’t happen again!).

Pam and Jerry are amazing. They’ve been our dog walkers for almost 6 years. We started with them when our dog was just a puppy. Not only does Jerry take your dog on a great off leash romp, but he also helps teach them good behavior. They take a personal interest in each and every dog they take under their wing. Our boy wouldn’t be half the dog he is today without their influence. Highly recommend them!

I have two large dogs, and have been asking Pam and Jerry for help for several years now. They are fantastic. My dogs are both rescues, and Jerry is excellent in dealing with dogs’ unique personalities. He has helped me learn how to work with my dogs better. They take my dogs out a few times a week on workdays. And they take wonderful care of my dogs when I’m on vacation. I come home to calm, happy pets. When I have questions or am worried about my dogs’ health issues, I call them before taking the dogs to the vet — they give great consulting tips, and Jerry has gone out of his way to make special trips to see my pets when they have had surgery or been sick. The bottom line is that Pam and Jerry are wonderful people. They are fair, conscientious, and kind. They love animals, and my dogs love them too.

Pam has been cat-​sitting for my two cats for a couple of years now. I go away quite frequently, and can always rely on her to take good care of them. She always writes up a summary of her visit, and emails/​calls if you need to communicate with her. Even my scardy cat Moe warmed up to her in no time!!! She also made some recommendations for a special kind of food to help my cat lose weight, and it worked!
My cats are always calm and relaxed when I get home, well-​fed and happy… thanks Pam and I highly recommend you!!!

I’ve been using Run w/​the Big Dog for years now every time I go on extended trips. My two furry babies are in good hands with this company. They do an initial interview/​meet & greet with you & the pets to meet you, hear your concerns or desires, and to get a feel of the dog/​cat. My mail gets brought in; speical requests are always met with a smile; the cats get a clean litter box, food & water replenishing, and lots of loving play time. I swear the cats look forward to Pam’s visits! They are very conscientious and very in tune to animals’ needs and take every good precaution taking care of your home and furry babies while you are away. Worth every penny, just for the peace of mind alone that someone is looking in on the animals!
