This place is okay. It is very close to my home so I go out of convenience. I always have issues when going here. First– If you go, make sure you are there when staff is on duty. If you go at night make sure you take a variety of bills to make change. Newer $ 5 bills rarely work, same with $ 10 and $ 20. You kinda just gotta get lucky. If the staff is there she will happily make change for you. Second– There are only a small selection of $ 1.75 machines, the rest are $ 2 and up. I must warn the $ 1.75 machines hold small loads. If I have a laundry basket full of clothes, the whole basket won’t fit in the machine. Third– Sometimes the washers don’t start. You really have to make sure you close the lid hard so it starts. Then listen for the water running. Which can be tricky because the water has very low pressure. It almost trickles out. Fourth– When using the dryer make sure you slowly put your quarters in and watch the timer add minutes. If you do it too fast the minutes won’t add on. There is Wi-Fi but it is a weak signal. There is also a TV area with some chairs and tables. There is a bathroom there that I hate using but will if I have to. Always drifters walking in just to use the restroom. There are several places to walk and get a snack or some lunch. Aside from all my complaints. The daytime staff lady is great. She is more than willing to help you out and is very friendly.

I’ve been checking out laundry businesses in the San Leandro area. Right now, this is one of my favs. It’s a simple place, which is all I really want out of my laundry. They have a healthy number of machines with various size load options. When I check into a laundry joint I remember two things: Single Washer: $ 1.75 How much time one quarter buys at the dryer: 7 minutes. That’s pretty good for this area, better than average. They have wash N fold! $ 0.95/ lb. Not bad, and I really like the way they fold my t-shirts. That’s always nice. I used to work retails, so if they aren’t folding properly, I always re-fold them Gap style. Crazy. I know. They fit better in my drawers that way. Bring it in by 9, and it’s out that day. Down sides: I’ve have some clothes come back with bleach stains. Not really sure how that went down. I’m sure it happened at R&R, but my hubby did the laundry that day. Just can’t be too sure. The double load washers have a bug. They freeze after the first 2 minutes and you have to push a button to restart them. If you don’t. .. well they will sit there until you do. That will mess up your schedule a few times. I asked the woman working there about it. She was as annoyed as, and gave me $ 2 in quarters for my troubles. I thought that was more than fair. I’ve noticed the same problem at other places with the same machines. No wifi. There is a coke machine and a few little corner shops in the shopping center. Never a problem parking. I’ve been on the weekend. The lady that was working then was — — one of my least favorite laundry staff people but not in a bad way. I have high standards. Soooo — go on the weekdays. The nice lady who is annoyed with the buggy washers will be there then.
