These guys are awesome. We were on our way to Home Depot to get supplies (lumber, fence hardware, screws) to build a short span of fence in our backyard and stopped here instead. They’re a warehouse-​looking place that’s open to the public; kind of hard to spot right around a bend on San Leandro Blvd.
Don’t expect a shiny exterior with spotless customer service. This is a warehouse — they mostly deal with larger-​scale contractors who bring their trucks in and load ‘em up. Our tiny Camry felt very out of place parking in one of the almost-​parking-​spots in front of their office. But once you find someone to talk to, this place is amazing! I don’t remember the name of the main guy we talked to, but he gave us a ton of fence-​building advice that turned out to be very solid. He was informative without being overbearing or annoying.
The prices of lumber are also very, very good. Way better than Home Depot. And the wood is much more precise, since they cut it themselves. They can rip wood to most sizes you’d want, and it’s all fresh and beautiful. The fencing hardware (bolts, screws, latches) is also orders of magnitude cheaper than Home Depot.
Since the first time we went, we’ve already been back twice for two other lumber-​related projects. Awesome place.

I have been searching for a great price on Trex Decking for a while. I pride myself on finding great deals, and saw NORCAL’s advertisment on Craigslist. Upon my first visit I knew I wanted Trex decking because that is the material in all the magazines. I took the sample and saved for the purchase. In the meantime I continued looking for deals and thought I found a better one in Sacramento. Wellllll after dragging my husband all the way to Sacramento hoping to save .10, only to find what they were advertising was a discontinued inferior Trex board, Mad at the sales lady for ME wasting my time driving from San Leandro to Sacramento, I began searching my phone for more decking material, only to come across the add again on Craigslist for Fibron decking priced cheaper than the discontinued stuff in Sacramento.
To make a looonnnngggg story short. My husband, mad and hot from the Sac weather, drove home. The next day I went to Norcal and absolutely LOVED the Fibron decking he has on sale. OMG! The texture is better the coating is better and it was so easy to install.
I am assuming the man at the front desk is the owner, was very pleasant and helpful. We have decided to extend the deck even further as well as replace another deck area with the Fibron decking.
Cant beat the price and he delivered it locally for FREE!!! a definate plus for me.
