Khoe James DDS

I have been searching for a dentist for a while now and decided to go with Dr. Khoe. Every touch point of my experience has been more than pleasant.
The receptionist, Kathy is extremely helpful, welcoming and friendly — scheduling an appointment and filling out the registration forms was a breeze (I could even email it to them before coming in). I didn’t have to wait at all after coming in.
Dr. Khoe and Fernando was incredibly warm, thorough and friendly. I seeked out advise and they were able to consult. He was very understanding and doesn’t judge or speaks down, authoritative, to you like most other dentist do.
I saw the hygenist Annette, who was able to comfort me during the clean. She was gentle yet thorough and even told me a joke or two. She was incredibly warm and charming. I would definitely welcome others to see Dr. Khoe and team.

My experience was very poor. I am a new patient, my appointment was at 9:30, I arrived on time, I was not acknowledged until I finally said excuse me after almost 30 minutes, the receptionist (not Cat) had a boat load of excuses why she didn’t acknowledge me after she said she heard me arrive almost 30 minutes prior, I received registration papers to complete 15 minutes later (after 10), I completed the papers in 5 – 10 minutes, during that time another patient arrived and was seen, I asked the receptionist if I had to wait until that patient was seen, she replied, «yes you do, in a rude tone, I am still completing your file, (then she yells) it took you 30 minutes to complete your paperwork», I couldn’t believe she said that being it had been 5 – 10 minutes. I said to her I did not like her attitude and that she needed to learn how to treat customers, and has no customer service skills, then she yells back to say «I have customer service skills» She is rude, she makes it bad for any body’s business, she has very little to none customer service skills, she will cause Dr. Khoe to receive bad ratings.

My family and I have been been patients of Dr. Khoe’s for over 26 years and have received the most professional and courteous service each time.
Yep, this is a small practice, but we get exactly the services/​treatments needed during our visits while being in a welcoming, peaceful, no-​pressure environment.
I’ve referred many co-​workers and friends here who complained about their previous dental offices’ high pressure sales, staff not listening to their needs, lack of professionalism, bad billing practices, etc. You won’t find any of that funny business here, which my long term patronage can attest to. People look at me sideways when I tell them that I love going to the dentist. I look forward to seeing everyone, catching up on happenings from the past 6 months, and sharing laughs (Dr. Khoe says he knows when I’m there because he hears laughing the whole time!). It feels like I’m visiting family when I’m there.

I switched to Dr. Khoe due to insurance reasons. He’s a Delta Dental PPO dentist and so our limits for insurance are higher with a Delta Dental PPO dentist vs. a Delta Dental Premier provider.
Dr. Khoe is awesome! He is super nice and you can tell he really cares about giving you good care. The office is small and conveniently located on Dutton (blocks away from where I live so I can walk there). He’s been there many, many years (20?) and you can really tell he has pride for his business.
His office staff are really friendly and preauthorize work with the insurance.
I had a cleaning and a filling. My husband had a cleaning and some work done as well. Both of us left feeling we had no regrets leaving our former dentist (of 20+ years) due to insurance reasons.
I strongly recommend him.

Yes, I am among the many people of the world who are anxious when seeing the dentist, optometrist, or doctor. Who can blame us, right? But the front desk, dentists, and x-​ray taker were all incredibly understanding, gave supportive advice, and were pressure-​free.
I’m glad I got my company benefits for dental insurance, as Khoe James DDS is a service worth getting! =)

Went to see the Dr. 2 more times, for a dental cleaning and extraction. The dental cleaning lasted 25 minutes or so. I bled a little bit, but that’s not unusual. He was thorough and great.
My extraction came unexpected. I was very nervous b/​c i haven’t had any major dental work done in 15 yrs but after the anesthesia it was actually not too bad. I have one more extraction and some more serious dental work to do, so i’m not looking fwd to the next few months. sigh.

I highly recommend this dental office. The staff are the nicest, most accomodating of any dental/​medical ofc I’ve ever been too. They always call you to remind you of your appointment. Dr. Khoe is super nice and very experienced. I recently had my wisdom tooth pulled and it was relatively painless. Their office is very clean but soothing. Nice relaxing music playing and goldfish to look at. Overall, great dentist, great office.
