Beautiful comfort food, everything was prepared perfectly to our request. Expect a little wait, on a weekend, but they hustle through the list and are well worth the wait. A pleasant surprise was the side of grilled tomatoes and the grilled chillies. Service was excellent, especially for how busy they were. My coffee cup was topped off at least 8 times, it never ran dry. Come here hungry!

Lobster eggs Benedict was quite the breakfast dish. Flavors were so tasty. Service was good. Coffee was a little watered down. Other than that its the best breakfast I’ve had.

Food quality was pretty good. Don’t sit outside if you would like to be served. Service inside was good and quick.

Absolutely delicious and such an extensive menu. There is something for everyone. The chicken and waffle was a huge portion and the Monte Cristo was great!

This place looks and smells like 1981. That being said their food is very good. But like everything — it’s not cheap. Service staff are life long career employees mostly which says a lot about the owners in an otherwise very high turnover business. The waitresses I’ve always had are proficient, above average friendly, and take care of business. Their food, also 1981, is fine. The décor would do good wth a total redo but you don’t go there for high end anything so it’s fine. Victor? Server and general do everything guy is unfroggim believable in his perky attitude, sweet disposition and take charge attitude. They’re lucky to have him! Number one — BONEHEADSCREWUPOFTHISTIREDPLACE is: N O W I — F I Come on lazy owners. Get with this century.

I love to have breakfast here, the servers are very attentive and the portions are more than enough to satisfy you The prices are not bad. Love their suggestion: The Montecristo sandwich, but their Hot Chocolate is unique !! The only thing I didn’t like was the parking area, it’s always full… I guess they must so pupular. I wish the place was bigger

I had to drop a star on this visit. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and I was so looking forward to the Lobster Benedict. What a disappointment! The menu says Maine Lobster … NOT. It tasted more like fake krab, which I later found out it was mixed in with what the waitress called lobster, and I call maybe crayfish. I don’t think anything with this mushy texture comes from anyplace near Maine! It wasn’t awful, but it definitely was NOT lobster. On the other hand the potatoes were bomb! I could go back and just get an order of the potatoes with some eggs and be a happy camper. My boyfriend ordered a perfectly cooked Belgian waffle with two perfectly cooked over easy eggs. Once again, service was tops! They were busy as it was Sunday brunch time, and the orders care out timely, the servers were all friendly and we had a great time. The one thing I would recommend is to call the Bennie what it actually is, and lobster isn’t it. Maybe they can gain their 5 stars back from me.

Mollies is an absolutely delicious breakfast/brunch joint located near the mission in San Juan Capistrano. This place serves delicious food and has fantastic serves but can get extremely crowded. The omelettes are delicious, waffles are tasty, the potatoes are fantastic and the portions are extremely plentiful. Overall, Mollies does a great job and is extremely recommended for those looking for a great bite at a reasonable cost. Pros– Portions Taste Menu Pet friendly outdoor seating Service Location Cons– A bit dated… Small inside Expect a wait, especially on weekends

Not bad, some items are overpriced for a small place but I like the food. Pancakes are HUGE lol. My sons favorite is the overly whip creamed hot chocolate! My favorite is the monte cristos & fresh orange juice/coffee. If you don’t feel like eating at a «Fast food» like Denny’s or are sick of harbor house(like me) best bet is to go here. It does get packed weekends so come ahead of time!

Tried this place over the weekend for the first time, after an early morning hike. Parking seems like it could get really tricky if busy. I had no problem, as it was still early enough, around 8am. We sat outside, and I loved the coffee mug with the lips on it. So cute. The service was amazing, fast, and friendly. Coffee refills were always offered, the food came out at a decent speed and everyone was so nice. I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon and it was delicious! The only reason I did 4 stars and not 5… my orance slice had a hair on it… but I let it go. :)

Best breakfast in San Juan. Come early and come hungry! There is always a line on the weekends and for good reason. There is limited parking in front of the shop but tons of it next door in front of Ross. Come for breakfast, come often!

Amazing Customer Service! Oh. My. Goodness! Portions are huge! Quality of food & prices are top notch. Only if I live in the area, this will be my breakfast place. I love the service! Me: Country fried steak with 2 eggs which comes with 2 sides(got potatoes and toast) — $ 10. Enough for party of 2. The country fried steak with gravy was delish! Hubby: Breakfast burrito with chorizo. He said it was really tasty good. Son #1: He got bacon and spinach omelet with pancake & potatoes.(Had a bite of pancake — fluffy & yummy!) Son #2: He got corned beef & hash with 2 eggs which comes with 2 sides(he chose french fries & fruits). Huge portion! He actually finished his hash but not the eggs & fries. Overall, the quality of food, price, and customer service are EXCELLENT!

What a gem of a place in San Juan! A mom and pop café with beyond wonderful and friendly staff and delicious food. I genuinely felt that I was eating breakfast at a family member’s house. It just felt so homey, warm and inviting inside. Service was always so quick, staff was attentive and on point. Portions are huge and overall a wonderful place to enjoy a meal. Lobster Benedict: you just can’t go wrong ordering this. When the plate arrived, there was huge chunks of lobster in every bite and the eggs were cooked so perfectly! Ugh! Heaven on a plate! Blueberry Pancakes: Yup, you bet your bottom that portions were HUGE! Delicious fluffy pancakes :) what more can you ask for?

Came her on a Saturday morning and was seated right away. People were constantly coming in and out. I got a cup of hot chocolate and it came out with a very generous helping of whipped cream, which made the kid in me scream with joy! The portions were very generous for a very reasonable price! The food was delicious as we’ll. the only thing was the hollandaise sauce was so lemony. Wasn’t a fan. But that is just my personal preference. Everything was honestly great! I say give it a shot!

Mollies famous café is a hidden gem in San Juan Capistrano. It’s the perfect breakfast joint that has a cool diner feel. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is so tasty. Anything you order you will be happy. They do have some awesome combination including the monte Cristo which is so good! I’d highly recommend stopping by and becoming a regular!

I ordered the lobster Benedict. I thought it would be so awesome after reading all the wonderful reviews and pictures. However, there is no lobster in the dish! All they have is imitation crab made from starch and food coloring. I’m very disappointed and went back to ask the restaurant. Guess what they said? It is mixed with 51% percent lobster” This is the most ridiculous explanation I ever got from a restaurant ! I won’t go back to this unreliable and dishonest restaurant ever again.

Located a few blocks from the San Juan Capistrano Mission, this seems to be a popular eating spot for the locals. While it does not quite meet my criteria for a 4 star, we had a decent, not momentous meal here. At least everyone in our party came away satisfied. The fried chicken is good, not great. But a 4 pieces of chicken for $ 10 certainly speaks to me. The special meatloaf lunch was good, not great. Salads were good sized, loaded with plenty of goodies, and the dressings(mostly homemade) were delicious. Service was great and friendly, and most certainly we felt welcomed. A solid restaurant that I would consider returning to. I would not mind sitting down to breakfast here to give their chicken fried steak and Monte Cristo offerings a try, and maybe that 3 star rating could move up a notch.
