If you are local, this is my number one recommendation for a professional, reliable dry cleaner. I own an online store and sell high end designer vintage clothing such as Chanel, YSL, Trigere, Parnis, Ungaro, Gucci, DVF etc. The owner has done an exceptional job on all my orders, they can work and dry clean fabric’s alot of local places cant. The alternation service is also exceptional. I’ve had orders to shorten multiple pieces & the hem is straight, clean & almost identical to original hems on each piece. From silk, to delicate lace, to 1950s tafetta, to a Vintage Bill Blass satin couture gown, I’ve received complete & great 5 star service. I only wish they could work on the furs I have! I’ve had unfortunate experiences with different dry cleaners in the past but I feel very lucky in my line of business & demographic I’ve found a truly skilled cleaner to get the job done. I’ve recommended this business to other sellers, friends & family, I am a woman of my word. Cheers. Also, in regards to attitude, I’ve only found the owner & their employee’s to be professional & prompt. It is a dry cleaners, not the Ritz. I’m not there to be treated like a princess or get a cheap deal, I’m there to get my clothes cleaned.

This place is outrageously expensive. I dropped off my uniform on Friday and was told I could not pick it up until monday. Although I wanted it next day, the turn around was still reasonable. HOWEVER, they charged me $ 13.40 for one military press uniform shirt and one pair of pants. That price is ridiculous. I WILLNEVERCOMEBACKHERE.

I’ve done business a good 5 or 6 times only because of the convenience of living close by. However, I found them to be very pricey & the lady who works there is not very friendly. To be fair, they do an excellent job on cleaning, but recently I have found another cleaners which does just as good a job on cleaning and the prices are much more reasonable. I have to drive a little farther but at least I’m not paying an outrageous price for cleaning. As an example, I had a car-coat(not a full length) cleaned and they charged me $ 16.50. I just had it cleaned again, and went to another cleaners(which I will be going to from now on!) and it only cost me $ 10.50, and the job was excellent. This cleaners, although does excellent cleaning, is way over priced. Check around, there are other cleaners in the same area providing the same service & much more reasonable in price.

I just moved into the neighborhood and this place has become my go to for dry cleaners and tailoring. I brought in 3 pairs of pants to be hemmed, the service was quick, the stitching looks great and is strong. Reasonable prices, nice personnel that work here. Love the hours of operation, they are open by 7am on weekdays, makes drop offs and pick ups really easy.

Eh. Well, first turn off was $ 1.95 per laundered shirt. I decided to bite the bullet b/c I have no time. I don’t even pay that in San Francisco! As I pulled out the 16th, I remembered to ask for medium starch. She tells me «extra $ 2». Per shirt??? No, just a standard 2 bucks. Which makes no logic. I felt she was trying to take advantage of me. Not cool. But whatever, I didn’t to argue b/c I didn’t want her losing or ripping my shirts… Fine. 2 bucks. When I came back, they were ready, they looked nice but still, the prices are pretty steep — for South San Jose. And the lady wasn’t nice at all — very cold and definitely not Customer First. Product-wise, it looked good. But it was not a good experience walking in there — not inviting or friendly. Not even professional. Sorry.

Geez man, I don’t know even know what to say. I’ve brought things here before and I haven’t ever had a problem but my last experience has prompted me to write this review. I brought in a blouse and when I picked it up, realized it was not clean. I politely pointed this out, and that is when shit hit the fan. The Korean lady went ballistic and said she tried it twice and it wasn’t her fault, and she worked so hard, blah blah blah. Frankly, I don’t give a shit. I explained to her that $ 7 was not a fair price to charge me for this, and that as a returning customer, I would of apperciated it if she would of given me even just 10 percent off, in a good gesture. She was hurting my ears with her shouting, and clearly did not care. so I just paid her the sorry $ 7 bucks and got the hell out of there. I will not be returning.

What can I say… the Clean Shop is… clean! Hahaha, ok, but really it is. You can see inside and see that your clothes are well take care of instead of being thrashed behind some wall. I came in to get a bridesmaid dress hemmed and altered and the woman doing it was very sweet and friendly! She respected what I wanted done to the dress and also kindly gave her recommendations as well. My dress was done in a few days and the job was impeccable! It made the dress so much better. I haven’t come to place for dry cleaning, but I would definitely trust them. Nonetheless, highly recommended for alterations :).

Finally! A cleaners that doesn’t give me the feeling they are trying to steal or ruin my clothes. The employees at The Clean Shop are very nice and helpful, plus the service is prompt. I’m always satisfied with the results and I don’t have the usual nervous feeling when I walk into a cleaners, where they tell me, oh you never brought that suit in here. I will definitely go here again.

I”ve been here for alterations a few times before, and I went here yesterday to have a strap fixed on a sun dress. The woman who runs the shop immediately refused to fix it because she didn’t have a pretty basic sewing notion. I’m not sure why it would have been so hard for her to order one, but I didn’t want to have to keep looking around for seamstresses so I just asked her to sew it together without the notion. She agreed to do it on the spot even though I would have been fine to wait. The charge was only 2 dollars(it took her about ten seconds) which I thought was fair, but when I went to pay with my debit card she gave me this bitchy face and laughed incredulously at me. Humiliated because I wasn’t the only person in the store, I quietly offered to go next door to get cash from Nob Hill. I don’t carry cash normally, and I am getting sick as hell of businesses that treat people with debit cards like the Antichrist. If you don’t want to accept cards for transactions of ALLAMOUNTS either A) don’t accept cards at all, B) post a sign that there’s a minimum charge(which is a breach of contract with most card companies, btw) or C) Close your store. Seriously. So I go over to Nob(stay with me here) to get cash, and the smallest amount you can get as cash-back is ten dollars, so that’s what I got. I checked out at the self checkout so I just took the ten it gave me and left. When I returned to pay her, once again she acted incredulous and sneered«a TEN?» like I was paying with a hundred for a nickel purchase. It was a ten. Yes, a TEN. For a two dollar purchase. Is it really that difficult to make eight dollars change??? Is the bitchy attitude really worth the loss of a customer? I hope for her sake it was, because that’s exactly what it got her. Actually, while I was in Nob, the man who was behind me in line at The Clean Shop came up to me and told me he told the Clean Shop woman that because of how she treated me HE’s never going there again either, so she actually lost two customers. If you need your clothes cleaned and live in the vicinity there’s another dry cleaners right across the street next to Tony and Alba’s. I will be going there from now on. Unless you have exact change in cash and don’t mind being treated like shit, I would suggest you do the same.

I took in a buncha formalwear and received them back good as new. Lady who helped me was very sincere and nice. It’s right next to Nobhill in the plaza off of Snell. Nice and convenient location. Price is similar to any other cleaners, but worth every penny. Turn around time was quick for the amount of clothes I dropped off. If you live in the area, or even if you don’t, I’d feel safe leaving my clothes with The Clean Shop Cleaners :) Cheers, T-Chung

This place is the best, I have had a few problems with other dry cleaners before where they’ve ruined my conforters, not in this place for sure, they offer an excellent service, the owners are very nice. I totally trust them to not ruin my clothes, plus, they just got an enviromentally friendly machine, which is really great. They have some discount coupons to print at their website.
