Summit Uniform

Well overdue. I have been going to Summit for 15 years now and have always been treated well. They get my uniform altered and fitted to perfection.
Sometimes they are EXTREMELY busy, but it’s never stopped them from trying to do what they can for their customers. Thank you Pat and Kathleen and the other staff members for a 100% job well done!!!

Terrible customer service and very rude. I was in the market for a new jacket. I waited at least 25 minutes and tried on a few jackets. Not once did anyone greet me and ask if I needed help.
I proceeded to the lady at the counter and asked for some assistance (so I could purchase a jacket) She said they were busy and it would be a few minutes. She proceeded to walk away and I over heard her tell another lady that she was working with that she hates when people come to the counter.
Needless to say I walked out and will never go back to this place again.

I love Summit Uniforms and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I will continue to shop there for my security supply’s and highly recommend you do the same!!!

I’ve always had great service whenever I have to get my uniforms. I will say they always have people in their shop but I have never seen them treat or talk bad to a customer. Pat the owner is always there and tries to ensure everyone is taken care of and is there for any questions we might have. The girls working there are always nice and helpful. They work hard but keep moving to help people out. Thank you guys keep up the great work!!!

The staff was pleasant, however, their service and care of your needs was on the contrary. Not only do they have an outdated system to order and tailor your uniforms, they have no concept of where the completed/​finished product is. Meaning, one associate will tell you as soon as you inquire, «its not there.» The other associate will check and find that it is there. They insist on telling you we will have patches sown on in 15 minutes but 8 days later you come to find out that it has even been put on the rack for the tailors. Completely unprofessional. Completely a waste of time, I will go to an ordinary cleaners/​alterations shop and know well that when they tell me it will be done, it will. Save yourself some hassle and stress and take the drive to the Penisula or east bay, I guarantee you will be greatful.

Super accommodating. Came in to get some patches on my quarter zip had to get old ones removed and new ones placed on for county ambulance when it was really busy. Changed my mind about one thing while I was waiting and they were able to get it done for me while I waited. Awesome service, more than pleased.

They got some cool gear, just a few homeless people around the neighbor hood and if you want to take a cpr class, it’s near by.
They have bullet proof vest that feel like good quality stuff.

I went in today to purchase a hat. The female with the glasses at the counter was helpful and friendly. I will give them another star.

Love these guys! They must deal with hundreds of people and yet they still remember me even when I call. The staff is super friendly and personable. They also have a great selection of apparel. If they don’t have it, they will get it for you.

Rude is right. Unless you are one of their buddies, you’re SOL. They are overpriced, and the service is pretty inconsistent. We’ve been going there for years, because this store seems to have all the agencies in Santa Clara County by the short and curlies — good luck finding any uniform parts elsewhere. Since we’ve been held hostage, we have been in for security uniforms, park ranger uniforms, SO uniforms and VTA uniforms (yes, I have family in each agency!) Sometimes the owner is nice as pie, other times he as rude and condescending. And rarely helpful, unless you catch him on a good day. The rest of the staff has good and bad days. On the right day, you can get a patch sewn on while you wait, and they’ll be sweet about it. Other days, they treat you like you’ve inconvenienced them by being alive, and they wish you’d just go away so they can flirt with the cops that come in.

I have been in Summit Uniform before to buy a uniform for my EMT class, when I went in then the staff was very courteous and answered all my questions helping me pick out the right gear. I went in today to see if they could sew a piece of female Velcro onto my 82^nd Airborne hat that I just purchased in order to attach my subdue American Flag. At first I was told it would not be ready until June 10^th, or they could sell me a piece of Velcro and I could have it sewn on some where else. I was going to just buy the piece of Velcro when another employee saw my hat and asked if I was in the 82^nd. I replied, «yes.» This very nice gentleman then asked what was going on and the other employee explained it to him. He took my hat and flag and told me to stand by, about ten minutes later he came back with the Velcro sewn on and the flag attached. I cannot thank this kind gentleman and the rest of the employees at Summit Uniform for their great service and Kindness.

From all of the bad reviews I read about this place, I was hesitant when I proceeded inside. EVERYONE working proved the reviews, wrong.
I had nothing but great service and they were very knowledgeable.

I was disappointed in the staff. They were pretty rude and seemed bothered I had questions about the uniform. The store itself is great but they need to hire more friendly employees.

This place is fantastic if you don’t expect to be pampered like a baby. A lot of the reviews I read for this place seem to expect hand service, but they don’t seem to realize this place handles contracts for most Police Agencies in the South Bay, along with the U.S. Mail, Park Rangers, and others. If you don’t ask for help, they’re going to be focusing on their purchase orders. If you DO ask for help, they’ll gladly serve you with a smile so long as you’re not an ass.
I’ve spent over a grand here in my career and will always do so in the future. If you’re in LEO, they carry a ton of gear in several different styles in-​store, so the chance you’ll have to special order stuff is really low. This is an advantage over L.C. Action, their primary competitor, whose selection is generally limited.
All in all, if you know what you’re looking for and can help yourself, this place is great. If you know how to ask for help, it’s just as fine. If you go in expecting it to be your average retail store where the employees are browbeaten into serving you hand and foot, you’re gonna be disappointed. This place is for professionals.

I’ve been to this store two times both times no one there wanted to help me out. I’m in this store writing the review and still no one knows I’m here. Girls talking about their home life. I just need held not knowing what to buy is frustrating. I will go find another store and want to warn anyone else who wants to buy there costumer service skills are horrible.

The staff at Summit are very knowledgeable when it comes to law enforcement uniforms and gear. They not only know their products, but also the procedures and requirements of every law enforcement agency in the Bay Area. Very reliable as well.

I am in the San Jose City College EMT program and we are required to have a uniform for the program. Our instructor recommended Summit Uniform. I first called to find out if I needed an appointment at all for a fitting and to find out the cost of everything I would need. They said I could just walk in and gave me an estimate of how much everything would cost. When I went in to get my uniform and additional items I needed for my program I was greeted right away and helped immediately getting all the items I needed. All of the staff seemed really nice and was helping anyone who walked in. I was in and out with everything I needed in about 10 – 15 mins. Thank you Summit Uniform for helping out!

I walked in on 05/​21/​2014 to get serviced for the Academy uniforms. Kristal helped me and was very polite, caring and expedient to help me get fitted for my uniform and an ordered place for it. She told me that my uniform would be ready within 3 weeks and she was was correct.
Around 06/​11/​2014, I received multiple phone calls regarding the uniform and I came in the following week to get fitted/​tailored to fit my body shape. Emily helped me with this process and is also very polite and helped me review my equipment/​gear for the Academy were up to standards. I was not «up-​sold» or made pressured to buy things I didn’t need or already have, they aren’t pushy in sales.
Their prices are good, service terrific and the quality of their products is the paradigm of many agencies within the Bay Area.
This place is no frills and treats all its prospect and current Public employees with high-​regards and respect.

Everyone that works here is so friendly and very helpful.
I had some things that needed to be ordered so it took a while longer and when I called to check up on my order they gave me an update and even called me to let me know when they shipped it!
Great communication and excellent customer service!!!
