This was the worst place I’ve been, to watch the SHARKS play and enjoy a meal. The place was under staffed the waitress didn’t know what she was doing and my bbq cheese burger was still moving. It was hot inside the restaurant unlimited drink refills with no one to refill them, fries were cold sent them back with my under cooked burger got a new plate now with onion rings sent those back and got fries that were over cooked. Now the drinks were bad too, Pepsi to much syrup not enough carbonation my wife’s spicy bloody Mary had no spice, no olive and no bacon. This was the worst $ 45.00 spent, finally left after the second period to hot inside establishment. The only thing good about this night was the sharks won. You’d think with a business named after Stanley it would be great especially during the Stanley Cup finals, not. I think I’m going to go to High Five @ the Sports Plex, the food there is 100x better. Go SHARKS… Negative 3 stars…

Today I had the worse experience OFMYLIFE. My waitress was very lagging and she keep talking to her coworkers and talking about her drama at work. She was just ignoring us when I asked her for refill and chili flakes when she should have approched us first instead of yelling across the bar and wrote it on the piece of paper, YES i also understand it was a Saturday but you have to take it one person at a time. Real nice location, interior is nice. You can watch 3 of the 4 surfaces from the inside. That’s about the only thing I enjoyed however :( I went here for the first time today and was severely disappointed by the staff. We sat and waited for 30 – 45 mins to get our orders and ended up getting passed like a drunk chick at a frat party. The servers kept going«I’ll be right with you». We ended up getting told that 4 times and still service… So we got up and left because we were hungry and getting frustrated. Now that I have food in me and I’m feeling a little better I’m still very disappointed in it. My boyfriend and I are big into hockey and were very excited to make the 3 hour trip to the rink… We’re not hard to impress, we love food.

I would give it negative stars if that was a choice! I have been sitting here for about an hour. The waiter has literally greeted and served every other table in this section. I’ve looked at him straight in the face as he zoomed by taking orders and asking other customers if they would like refills or anything else and I’ve received zero acknowledgment. This could be a great sports bar, if only they had decent service. Thank goodness I’m not hungry or thirsty! I wouldn’t spend a dime here.

Celebrated my daughter’s 12th birthday at Sharks Ice. Started upstairs at Stanleys with pizza and drinks. Our table for 12 was set aside and waiting for us upon arrival. The pizza came out 10 minutes after we sat down. Piping hot and made some very hungry kids happy! Adults ordered salads and drinks which also came out in a timely manner. Our server was very attentive and even brought things out for us to serve our cake to guests. I was very impressed with the service and ease of our entire birthday experience at Sharks Ice/Stanleys.

My daughter and I come to Stanley’s twice every week, because there aren’t really any alternatives for a hot meal nearby. Twice per week, every week. We can’t get a server to pay attention to us for anything. I’m always careful to show up 90 min ahead of her practice, and we STILL are often late because of inattentive servers. So, I’ve started ordering dinner at the bar, getting a pager, and skipping the frustration of getting passed over. And over. And over. Now, I believe the servers know I’ll bypass them, because they don’t even greet us anymore. I will say, if you’re in a larger party, best I can tell you’ll be served promptly. But if you’re a party of two or three, and are hungry when you arrive, forget it. My company, at my suggestion shortly after discovering it, hosted an event at Stanley’s, and we were very well served — so I know they’re capable. Once you finally get the food, it’s often cold(probably sat at the kitchen window too long). But otherwise it’s actually quite tasty, well prepped, and looks artful. Moderate prices; nice sports bar atmosphere. Trivia night is fun. Lots of good beer choices, on tap. Coffee and mimosas served in the mornings on weekends. Fun place to watch a Sharks game. One note: they sometimes host events here, and the restaurant is packed or even closed to general public. I haven’t noticed where that’s posted yet, so sometimes we park, schlep gear in, only to have to turn back around to get McDonald’s drive thru. I’d you’re trying to get a table before a game starts, it could be worth a call.

I love this place. The boyfriend and I always come for some of our date nights to have some beers, food, and play some pool. Very chill, not too loud, and a cool atmosphere. The staff is very friendly, beers are good, and it’s very clean. Update(01÷15÷16): went here yesterday for my birthday with friends and had the pool tables to ourselves, some delicious beers and the meat lovers pizza and spicy wings were delicious! The best time to come on a Friday or Saturday when it’s not crowded and when the sharks aren’t playing is after 930/10pm. The pool tables, air hockey, and Foosball table are always available. So it’s perfect for a date night or hanging with a group of friends.

Most of the food that we ordered was pretty good, but the pizza was obviously burned. There was an even layer of black on the bottom. We had to return it…

Worst service in here!!! Waited 20 min and no server! Went to bar and ordered took 40 min to get a simple salad, and a chicken sandwich! Didn’t come at same time and after asking three times to check on food bartender just gave me attitude! Lucky I was with my daughter and didn’t want to make a scene in front of her. Food was not even tasty when we finally got it, had to get new sodas as the glasses we originally got were full of soap

Holy crap, the service was bad tonight. Food was OK, but not great. Why does no one ever hustle here? Are expectations so low because we are stuck here watching our kids play hockey, or your core clientele are Sharks or Spartans fans who don’t care? Stop doing waiter service if you can’t do it well. Compare this crap hole to Silver Creek Sportsplex, where the food is awesome, and it is counter service. Stanley’s take a lesson from them and raise your game.

Stanley’s has become the go-to place for my friends and I to watch the San Jose Shark’s games, or even to just have a little dinner with some beer. When there aren’t any Shark’s games, you can find a seat anywhere you please. Otherwise, it gets really packed during the games. Food wise, I would give Stanley’s 3.5 stars. The food is good and filling, but nothing over the top. All of the employees are really great, especially Tim. He has helped my friends and I multiple times and always gives us exceptional customer service. I would give the place 5 stars just because of how great their employees are, but very often the place is understaffed. Unfortunately, on Monday night last week, there seemed to be only one employee working AND there was a Shark’s game. Not sure if the game has slipped the manager’s mind and forgot to schedule more people, or what. Overall, I will continue to visit Stanley’s and hopefully in the future, the servers/bartenders wont have to go through another night like last week.

Nice hang out place with groups, over look the ice skating rinks, hockey fans… this is your nirvana! Food…meh…I rather bring my in&out burgers and grab a beer from here instead. Just a thought for those don’t like foods from here like me :) Their burger is bland & so is the pizza.

I LOVESTANLEYS.!! This place has been my family’s go to place for years! It’s our heart and soul when it comes to family/friends time and sports together. This place my family has always counted on. And STILL does! When the hungry feelings start, there’s always great food on the menu to satisfy your hunger! There really are no words enough to explain why I Love STANLEYS. It’s a family and friends place. Oh, and bring a jacket or a sweater because it IS in the Ice center, so even though it’s cold where there is skating, there is a nice cozy warm gianormous fireplace in STANLEYS to keep you nice and warm and comfortable! It’s ine of my favorite things there. YOUGOSTANLEYS!

We come here infrequently. Mostly because the service is so bad. And then we forget, we’re at the rink for one reason or another, and then we come here again, and we’re reminded: the service is awful. In this case though, it wasn’t the server person we had. She tried. We ordered our food at 8:25pm Fri. The place was *maybe* half full. We waited a half hour to get any of our food. 8:55pm. Yes, I noted both times, because I did remember how bad the service is. But in this case, it just might have been the kitchen. How long exactly does it take to cook a hamburger? Not 30min; and I used to work at Wendys when I was a kid. The food isn’t bad. I had the pepper burger, and I’m a nut about burgers(St Johns on Lawrence is THE best), and I liked it. But why can’t they fix the service problems …

Horrible service, but the only game in tow. Unless you walk around and find a server you won’t get served. Even then you might wait 30 to 45 minutes for food ON A SLOWDAY! Food is just okay. Only good things are: they have wireless and they overlook multiple rinks.

I went here after skating with my aunt and we were a bit hungry. We ordered a basket of sweet potato fries, polaite, and kobe beef sliders. The best part was the sweet potato fries. The polaite and the sliders were EXTREMELY doused in salt. My aunt and I finished any entire pitcher of water together and still needed refill. The restaurant atmosphere was pleasant and warm. The service was good and the waitress we had was very kind; she was always happy to help when we asked for forks, plates, and refills.

Okay, so I choose one of the biggest days to meet up with friends here — last Saturday. San Jose Sharks VSLA Kings Game 5 Playoff game. But… since this is where my friends wanted to go, off I went! The place was PACKED to the freakin’ gills when I arrived. Found my friends nestled at a cool round table against the glass overlooking one of the rinks. Made for nice viewing of one of the three games that took place — once the Sharks decided to throw their game away and decide against eliminating the Kings. Brittany was our server and she ROCKED as hard as she could, given she was being pulled in a dozen diff directions. There were four in our party — the guys ordered lots of pitchers — I stuck with my Wyders Pear hard cider. After awhile, I needed some food, though — lets face it, once you’re past a certain age, drinkin’ for the buzz just ISN’T worth the hangover the next day! So, I got some fries for $ 4.50(it was a really large basket) and I ordered a one-topping pizza at $ 12, to share. The pizza was MUCH larger than i expected and it tasted way better than the cost. I’d choose that over a a really well done Little Caesars any day of the week. I thought the value was good — the venue is huge. Much larger than I originally thought it would be. Overall, I was pretty happy with the experience, given how crowded they were that day.

This is a good place to watch bay area sports teams play. The food is very good for what I was expecting, which was stadium nachos and boiled hot dogs. Instead I got poutine and pizza and a burger. There also is your normal finger-food fare to munch on while sippin beer. The burger and poutine I had was great. The chicken strips were meh. The selection of beers on tap is good. They have your regular beers and a few«craft» beers for the snobs. It doesn’t seem to crowded when watching NFL playoffs. Can;t say much if you were to watch a Sharks game though.

Stumbled to this place yesterday after the SJSU homecoming tailgate. It’s upstairs from the ice arena through the wooden paneling. Once you walk in you can just choose a seat anywhere and a server will come to you. It took awhile to get service, but when we did our server was pretty sweet and took all out drink, appetizers, and entrée orders in one shabang. After she left, again… It took awhile. First our beer came out, and we waited about 20 – 30 minutes just for the food. Once we got our food it tasted mediocre. I had the BBQ western burger with barley any BBQ sauce on it and my boyfriend had a Stanley’s burger(he only are half, so I guess that tells you it was about as great as mine). Their nacho appetizer was probably the best thing we ordered. Oh yeah, and their curly fries are crunchy and moist inside. Sad to say I wouldn’t come back here out of choice but If I ever did return id definitely go for something OTHER than a burger.

Nothing like stocking up on some $ 2 beers and watching people ice skate, a.k.a. fall on their butts! Really great view of the skating rink, whether during the public skating times or a hockey game. It was a cold night and I needed some comfort food. I had a huge cheese craving, so I defied my dairy allergy and had a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato. It was totally worth it. The grilled cheese really hit the spot. The fries that came with it were alright, but not very crispy. It ended up taking about 15 – 20 minutes for my food to be ready, which was a long time considering there weren’t many other people there. Luckily there was beer and cider to keep me happy. Now, I have to tell you about Guy With Major Game(GWMG). This guy was bald and in his 50’s but possessed mysterious powers of major game. He used his magic powers to captivate not 1, not 2, but 3 of my friends in conversation! The first, Jen, went over to order hot chocolate and ended up getting stuck at the bar talking to him. Her sister Laurie went over there to save her, but ended up also getting held in conversation. Laurie’s boyfriend had to go over and save both of them! Of course we were all making fun of my 2 girl friends for being charmed by this guy. My friend Jon was probably the loudest in making fun of them. Jon goes over to the bar to order more beers. When he had been missing for more than 5 minutes, we looked over at the bar. GWMG had charmed him too! I was more than amazed by his prowess. TIP: Watch out for Guy With Major Game(GWMG). He might captivate you too!
