**SUNDAYCHAMPAGNEBRUNCH** What a difference a few years make! This year was my mom’s 65th birthday, and we needed a really good venue to have the party at. We considered a few places, but we wanted some place that had a nice variety of great food. We decided on Sunday brunch at Dolce Hayes Mansion. What a fantastic experience! We had a party of 40ish, and they seated us in a semi-private room(Westwood indoor patio); situated right next to Silver Creek Dining room. Edward, the catering/dining manager, was very accommodating. We asked him if we could decorate and we could have a singing Elvis come perform for my mom for about 15-minutes, and he said yes to everything. So easy to work with. The room was great, and they placed us on the far end, which was perfect. We were able to bring in balloons and put up a birthday banner. We also decorated the tables, although the tables are nicely set up to begin with. The food was way better than I recalled. Great selections, and our guests were extremely pleased with the variety and the quality of the food. When I was looking for our Elvis, Edward even volunteered to go look for him. Absolutely great service. What a fantastic place to host a party. We will definitely be back!

I helped plan my wonderful cousins bridal shower here. With the great help of Matthew and Edward(food & beverage managers), I was able to reserve a Sunday brunch! That is VERY hard to do, no other restaurants accepted reservations. It made the planning process so easy! I’ve never been there and Matthew suggested hosting the bridal shower on the patio(Palm Plaza area). I did call to confirm and made sure we got everything in order. They only pick up phones during certain times of the day, but will call you back by the next business day and I got quick responses through email from the managers. I arrived and there was a perfect spot for 11 of us with a «reserved» sign, it was great because I guess the patio is for anyone and there was a conference going on with 600 people! I was greeted by Jane, our wonderful server. She was SO nice and fun! She made sure our mimosas were never empty. The food was delicious, we all went back for fourths! There was a large variety of food and was very tasty(I loved the waffles, crab, pasta, and tri tip). We were all impressed with the shrimp cocktail bc it was large prawns and the scrabbled eggs were perfectly cooked. Everyone was just so nice, and even though there was a large conference, we really felt like we were the only ones there bc of the great atmosphere and kindness from everyone. Thank you!!!

Came here for a late mother’s day brunch with my sister and my mom. We made reservations in advance, so we were seated immediately. Our server Ivan was very friendly and kept refilling our mimosas as soon as our glasses were empty. They had a large selection of items for brunch, ranging from traditional breakfast items to seafood, pasta and chicken. They also had a full salad, fruit and dessert bar. The best part is the bottomless mimosas. All for just $ 39.99 a person, you can’t go wrong. They also have outdoor seating available.

I was very impressed with the champagne brunch here. The food was pretty good, the star of the brunch, for my group, were definitely the crab legs and the jumbo shrimp from the raw bar! The bottomless mimosas weren’t bad either! They had a made to order omelette bar, salad bar, crackers and smoked salmon, dessert bar, fruits, and other hot food which includes stuffed pork and mango tilapia. It’s definitely a must try at least once!!!

This place needs to get their shit together, I called two weeks ago inquiring about booking a bigger reservation for brunch. I’ve worked in restaurants my whole life so I was very specific about the time and that I wanted to book on a Saturday, they said that«Amanda» would call me so I gave them my info and waited. I waited for about two weeks for a call that I never received, when I called today«Amanda» picked up and informed me that they don’t even do brunch on Saturdays. A waste of time, I’ve lost two weeks of planning due to their incompetence. Don’t tell me oh yeah it was probably this employee or that employee, it’s not an excuse to have employees answering phones who clearly aren’t trained to do so. And by the way, I wouldn’t have had this problem at all if «Amanda» had simply called back when she was supposed to.

My review is just for the Sunday Brunch. Did the buffet for the first time today and I won’t ever bother again. I was disappointed with the choices, the desserts, the carving station. I had read in the menu that there were soups being served. Make that soup, singular. Something that probably came out of a Campbell’s can. The carving station had prime rib. No turkey, no pork, just the beef. The dessert choices were awful. There was just nothing that made it worth $ 40 a head. I’ve had better breakfasts at the Hyatt in Sacramento. I guess if I loved Mimosas or crab legs it might have been worthwhile, but for me, it was very disappointing. I was expecting a brunch like they serve at the Hotel Del. Boy, was I wrong.

I booked a holiday lunch for fifteen people here. We were excited about being at the Hayes Mansion and having a wonderful lunch. We had two rounds of cocktails prior to lunch. Some people ordered off the menu, but it was very limited. Mostly sandwiches and regular lunch items. Most of us went to the buffet. It was a mixed bag. Food was dry and seemed to have been in the steam table awhile. The fish was absolutely inedible with strong fish taste that overpowered any other flavor. I ended up with a few slices of ham and cheese at the make your own sandwich table. Not quite what I expected for a Hayes Mansion buffet. Resigned to just having a few more glasses of wine and good conversation, we settled in. The restaurant was almost empty so we felt comfortable spending some holiday time together. We lost sight of a server several times. Twice having to go to the kitchen door and ask for service. Plates weren’t removed unless we asked to have them removed. Water bottle refills, etc. They seemed very confused about who should be doing what and when. Overall the best part of the lunch was being together in the beautiful building. Not sure I would go back and spend another $ 800 on lunch though.

Best ever Champagne Brunch in SJ. Probably best brunch I’ve had ever and champagne is above par!

I attended a Sunday Brunch Party here. We were seated in one of the private rooms in the mansion and it was brimming with flowers from someone’s wedding the day before. The Brunch Buffet was huge and fresh and we all took our time going back for more. Champagne and mimosas for everyone!(okay, for those who are legal). The service was very attentive too. Big bonus: The grounds of the Hayes Mansion are beautiful so we took lots of pictures that should make great memories.

Easter brunch was exceptional. The raw bar, sliced meats, and bottomless champagne made it all worth the wait.

We ate here twice during our stay at Dolce Hayes Mansion. Each time the service was excellent, and the restaurant was spotless. Our first time here was for dinner. The steak that I ordered was cooked just right and was very tasty. My wife had a special that evening. She ordered lamb, and it was the best that she’s ever had. It did not have any aftertaste to it at all unlike most other times that we’ve had lamb. Unfortunately, I do not think that they offer the lamb on their menu anymore. The second time we dined here was for Sunday Brunch. It’s pricey, but worth it if you like to drink. Champagne and mimosas are included as well as fresh squeezed orange juice. If you do not like mimosas or champagne, then the price of $ 39.95 is too much and you won’t get your money’s worth back. There are many options available, and the food tastes good. Nothing great. Nothing bad either. Overall, we are fans. Would definitely return in the future.

Terribly bland and mediocre food. To make it worse, it’s pricey. I ordered the tomato bisque, and the new york steak with risotto. The risotto was undercooked, the steak had a horrible sauce and the meat was poor quality. the tomato bisque was just cream, no tomato flavor. the hotel is great, just not this restaurant

We celebrated my mom’s birthday with a champagne brunch here — totally worth it. From the moment we parked, the older family members were already busy taking photos — the mansion and grounds are gorgeous and well-maintained. We’d made a reservation for 15 and told them it was possible only 12 would come. They set up a table for 18 and told us it was no problem, so we had plenty of extra seats for presents and purses and such. The server came immediately with champagne and orange juice, and was very patient with the confused Asian parents/grandparents trying to figure out what a mimosa is. He returned immediately with coffee for those who wanted that as well, and kept all the glasses filled during the course of our meal. I had straight champagne, which was crisp and sweet. Protip: grab a strawberry from the fruit station and plop it in the champagne. The food was spectacular. Fresh crab, oysters, shrimp, mussels — which the family gorged on. I would’ve liked to see more dipping options though, they didn’t even have butter. Perfectly cooked eggs benedict, bacon, sausages, and an amazing prime rib carving station. I got a nice thick slice that was way too large for me, so we split it up among the family and even the non-beef eaters polished it off and loved it. Prime rib should not be eaten thinly sliced — do it some justice, get one thick piece and share it. I also really enjoyed the salad bar with smoked salmon and capers, as well as the cheese selection(brie, gouda, bleu cheese, dried figs and grapes, yum!) The omelet station guy was quite accommodating, sauteeing cocktail shrimp with veggies for the grandparents who aren’t used to cold seafood. The desserts were fantastic as well. Fresh fruits — the strawberries and pineapples were juicy and ripe, sweet with just a bit of tang. The chocolate torte was so rich that I had to pass it on to my parents after a bite, for fear of scarfing down the whole slice myself. The petite fours selection were as beautiful as they were delicious. My mom loves buttercream frosting on cake, so we had asked if they could make something like that for the day — they totally delivered with a raspberry chocolate cake with buttercream frosting and a slice of white chocolate printed with a rose and«Happy Birthday.» Above and beyond service, quality ingredients, expert cooking, and terrific ambiance. All in all, it is the perfect place for a special celebration — highly recommend.

what i ordered… Sunday Brunch brunch was ok but it should have great for where it was and what it cost. it’s a hit or miss with the food and spotty service. Raw Seafood station was so out of place but i observed a clever fellow who made a good use of it by taking some of those seafood and made an omelette out of it. Only if they could elimanate that area hence dropping a few buck’s from the bill and concentrate more on the dessert line(which they were used to be known for) the place could be great. (+)… prime rib roast(roasted right), eggs benedict(as perfect as it could be made), homemade whipped cream(thick and lightly sweetened), layered chocolate cake (-)… canadian bacon(undercooked and looked old), smoked salmon(as salty as anchovies), cheesecake(more like a mousse), mini pecan roll(hard) ambiance… very good(inside a historical mansion aka hotel) service… ok(server was great for the first half of the dining experience then he starts to lag. two host at the entrance were like chatting pillars that were more concerned with their own conversation than anything else… upon entering and leaving the area) cost… $$$$(expensive)

This place was ok. We came in and their was a good variety of breakfast items in the buffet. The omelet bar was really good too. However, for $ 15 dollars I would have like to see a little more breakfast items like fresh to cook eggs since they had an omelet bar how hard would it be to add fresh to order eggs. Since the bacon was great and I thought it would be great with an egg. I was not a big fan of the scramble eggs that were in the buffet they were a little cold. But their definitely some great things to make up for it. Like the French toast and crêpe, served with hot syrup. That was a plus. I also like that if you are a guest your breakfast is $ 15 and under 12 is free.

I brought my girlfriend here for a Sunday Brunch for a belated Valentines Day celebration since I had to work. The Silver Creek Dining room is located at Dolce Hayes Mansion. $ 39.95 per adult with bottomless mimosas is a great deal. The line-up included mussels, oysters on the half shell and large jumbo shrimp prawns. The oysters which I’m usually not a fan of were good, as well as the shrimp. The mussels tasted too much like the ocean for my liking. They had bagels and lox which is always good. The salmon was very fresh. The eggs benedict, bacon and breakfast sausage were also satisfying. The hand carved rib eye was so full of flavor. Cooked to order omelets were tasty and the cook kept conversation while the omelet cooked as to not have an awkward silence. The desserts were very good and light. The Fruit Tart was done very well. Final Thoughts: I will return especially since I got my monies worth just with the mimosas alone! The food and service by our server Jun were very good. If I had one thing to complain about it would be the location of the actual buffet. You have to walk through a busy buffet section before reaching the dining room where the tables are located.

Such high hopes for the main dining room at the Hayes Mansion but both times I ate there my tummy got upset and that led to, well, you know! And I wasn’t the only one. Trapped on site for an event, I was not happy when on day two, eating entirely different foods on the menu I got the same reaction. I would think that maybe I had a touch of something but both mornings and evenings I ate elsewhere and was fine.

Came here with my girls for brunch. I agree with some Unilocalers. The meal was a little pricey for what it was. I would’ve given this restaurant an extra star if the meal was $ 30, instead of $ 40. Tax and tip almost came out to $ 50/person. Highlight of the meal: *Mushroom Ravioli *Freshly made omelets *Egg Benedict(although the hollaise sauce was a little too much) *Fresh Fruit * Mimosa *Smoked Salmon *Great selection of imported cheese They need to improve on: * OFFERINGCOFFEE *Dessert selection was great, but the quality was HORRIBLE *Pancake and waffles should be freshly made – not just sitting there Didn’t try the raw bar(oyster/shrimps) Probably won’t be back here – I rather spend $ 50 else where!

Sunday brunch was hella expensive! However, I would like to mention that it’s a pretty quality buffet. They don’t waste their $ or time on all the carbs. They’ve got all the hearty selections and choices: omelette bar, salad bar, seafood bar, breakfast bar, fruits, desserts, etc. Everything was pretty on point. The shrimp were huge! The oysters were tasty with the cute mini tabasco sauce! The mimosas were light and tasty. It was as if I was drinking air. It was endless. The waiter kept pouring and pouring until I was dizzy. The good kind of dizzy. =) Pretty good food even though it’s expensive. I’m not that big of a buffet person so it was ok to splurge every once in a while, especially if it’s quality buffet food.

Absolutely magnificent brunch spread. They have everything from Alaskan King Crab Legs to Eggs Bendict. The décor is absolutely stunning, and they serve mimosas to adults. The downside is that it is also outrageously expensive! It’s $ 55 a person, so I can only go on special occasions. Should be more like $ 30 per person, if it was — it would get five stars with ease.
