2015 was my first time to the San Jose Toy show. I’ve heard about it years prior but was never able to make it out in time. This year, I had it on my calendar and happened to be free that day. Parking was fairly easy as there was a paid lot across the street for $ 8. Admission was $ 8 for general or if you really wanted to get in early I think it was $ 14 before 11am. The convention center wasn’t very big, especially if you’ve been to various comic cons, but this was to be expected. I was mainly there to seek out rare Funko Pops which they had a decent selection. Majority of the toys being sold there were more on the vintage side. It was very much like a huge swap meet of toys. I came out with a few nice finds, but I don’t know if I’d come back next year. If you live close by and are looking for vintage collectibles it may be worth checking out. We spent about an hour and a half there before we left.

Wow, Toys, and more Toys, and lots of people. It was a big turn out at the Santa Clara Fairgrounds for this Event. My bro in law is heavily into Hulk collectibles and recently was given a flyer for this show in the Southbay. Time Tunnel Toys and Collectibles hosted the Event. I have an extensive comic book collection and was interested in this show. Tickets were $ 5.00 a head with an early bird special of $ 15.00. I took the Fambam and headed down to Santa Clara. F. g and was amazed how long the lines were already at 11:20am. It took us about 15 minutes to park and about 30 – 40 minutes to get in. So about $ 25.00 for admission with a party of 5 and $ 8.00 parking was well worth the wait. A lot of Childhood memories of toys I played with, and toys I wish I had played with. Toys I wished I had kept in the box, as well as my Comic book collection. There were Comics on every other booth and lots of current toys. The Highlight for me was that Billy Dee Williams was doing autographs for $ 20.00. Mr. Colt 45 Spokesman and Lando Calrissan in the flesh(don’t forget, the original Harvey Dent). There was no end to curious booths and lots of Star Wars, GI Joe, Legos and too many other Genres to mention. As it turned out my Bro in law did come away with a couple Hulk figures in box, and a Fat Bastard from Austin Power Movies. My only regret was not wearing my old Star Wars T-shirt with Lando. I wanted to meet him, but the line was longer than the entrance. Maybe next time when they are back in August.
