I’ve been going to Anna for about 20 years now. Cut, color, trim. Her perms are great and last forever, color is perfect and she is the only one I’ve ever been to who cuts my hair the way I like. She is also extremely affordable. I recommend this salon!

I’ve been going to Anna’s off and on for years and although she can be a bit intense at times, she really knows how to cut hair extremely well. She’s very chatty, but that’s just her quirky personality! She goes above and beyond to try to make her clients happy and every time I’ve gone to get my hair cut by her, she doesn’t disappoint. Best bet is to call in advance before just stopping in, just to be sure she’s got time to take you.

Turn around and walk away. Should have been my first and only thought when I stopped by here with the boyfriend. There are no posted hours anywhere, yet the window says«Walk Ins Welcome». My boyfriend’s mom recommended this place for a good, CHEAP hair cut and I was feeling adventurous. His mom told us she pays about $ 15 so it was worth a shot.(I have long straight Asian hair. You can’t really mess that up… I’m use to paying ~$ 17 with tip for a decent cut in the city, nothing fancy) She(Anna?) later called us back and told us to come in 30 mins later, which we did. First of all, if you enjoy being out talked and mindlessly agreeing to whatever people tell you, by all means come here. Anna talked the ENTIRE1 hour and 30 min we were here, whether it was about the pros and cons(actually just pros.) of her hair products, to her opinion of what would look good on you. She was very polite as asked what I wanted. My boyfriend was very clear to give me A LOT of layers starting at the TOP of my head, and just take off an inch at the bottom. Essentially, just some layers. Anna repeated back the instructions, and we agreed. She took me to the back and proceeded to shampoo, condition, and put a bunch of other product in my hair(Vitamin E and Argan Oil)– none of which i asked for. Then she started cutting. She took a little off the bottom, thinned out my bangs, and then thinned out the middle of my hair. Then she seemed like she was done, and went back to another client(who she was working on before I arrived). I was thinking… uhhh, that’s it? I was going to ask her to frame my face a little better, since I noticed some strands that weren’t lining up. When she came back, she said she was going to put something«special» in my hair before she’s done with me. When I told her about the potential fix, she started saying it was fine because my hair was«oversized on that side» I’m guessing since I have side swept bangs so my hair is heavier on one side?(I have no idea. Refer back to the mindlessly agreeing to whatever she was talking about) But then she said«Okay I fix it for you because you ask» she then finally cut my hair which seemed to create a layer! So I’m thinking if I never pointed that out, I would have never had my hair cut. She then whisked me off and started on my boyfriend. After my boyfriend was done she did put more product in my hair to make my color more«shiny». He is VERY particular about his hair. He’s one of those guys that will give you the death look if you even try to touch his hair while he has product in. He normally goes to this other stylist, but since he just wanted a trim, he thought it was worth a shot. Again he told her exactly what he wanted, and she repeated it back, and we all agreed. Let me just say he looked like he was holding back man tears of frustration as he watched her hack away at his hair WHILE proceeding to talk smack about his hair stylist(whom he’s been seeing for 7 years) and how it was cut all wrong. When we got up to pay, she looked at my boyfriend, says«Normally for him, I charge $ 25, but today $ 18.» She then looks at me and says«$ 40». My boyfriend and I are like«DAFUQ?!?» Me and him were expecting maybe $ 40 for the both of us since his mom told us she pays $ 15. On the sign you can barely make out $ 15 — $ 39. We had $ 52 in cash between the both of us and gave that to her and told her we’d come back with $ 6 since she only takes cash. She then said it was okay. We felt slightly bad since we short handed her and didn’t leave a tip, but there was NOWAYINHELL the amount of work she did on my was worth $ 40. Now that I think about, the trim on my boyfriend’s hair was not worth $ 25 either. INSHORT: — The only thing I really liked was the way she thinned my bangs since they can get kinda heavy and do this weird curl. — What Stevacious G. said is correct: «She can not listen worth a damn about what you REALLY want when it comes to color, style, opinions, etc ~ because she seems too know everything about you and what looks good without taking a breath to stop talking and allow any feedback.» She repeated what we wanted but went completely off tangent.

I have been getting haircuts from Anna for approximately 2 years consistently. From the beginning she was already giving haircuts that were close to what I wanted. I am a guy and since I am Asian(Vietnamese) I am into the more exotic and Asian hairstyles for men. In other words, my hair is often similar to Korean or Japanese. And they look good too. Why? It’s becaus Anna knows what the customer wants. Remember when I said in the beginning she was getting haircuts close to what I wanted? Yeah, well now she gives me almost EXACTLY what I want and she is awesome. Give me time to get to know you better and learn how you prefer your hairstyles. Give her time to learn you and she will just get better and better. When you do that you will become a loyal customer. In any case, I pretty much hate a lot of other stylists because they always mess up on what I want.

I’d say that this place is something to write home to mom about. My mother also goes there, and has been for a number of years since I recommended it. Also, my sister started going there ever since she got a bad haircut and needed Anna to fix her hair. I’ve been a customer for over 12 years now, and I recommend this shop whenever people ask about where to get a good hair cut or other related services. Anna is very skilled. If you are unsure about what kind of haircut you want, she can help you decide. If you know what you want she will give you what you ask for. Just be clear about what you. However, if you change your mind, she will adapt(as long as there is still hair left to cut). You pretty much need to get an appointment, but she is very flexible about times. She also has a number of great products that she can recommend depending on what you need(shampoos, conditioners, etc.). I’ve tried other products, just picking them up in beauty supply stores or at the grocers, but the results tend not to be as good. I highly recommend Anna.

I’ve been going there for haircuts for several years now, and would recommend it. Anna is skillful, cheerful, and professional. Her prices are reasonable, and she uses first-class products. Call ahead for appointments — she is quite flexible, and I’ve never had any trouble moving the appointment. She’s an interesting conversationalist too, if that matters to you. Her clientele seems pretty diverse — men, women, young, not-so-young, different ethnicities. A small shop, and the parking lot can get filled up sometimes. Does not stock any magazines that I like reading, so I often bring my own reading material. These are minor drawbacks — the main things are quality and service, which are excellent.

the place is nothing to write home to mom about, but the service is great. Anna is very personable and extremely courteous. she is very dedicated to her work and her wok is clean. I went in for eyebrow threading, and for $ 12 she cleaned them up and fixed others’ mistakes along with following my NATURAL shape. finally! she’s great, i definitely recommend her!
