Went today and this place is no longer there. Officially sad my neighborhood BBQ joint is close for good. :(

Too bad it’s closed. The location must have killed it because compared to several other BBQ places in San Jose this place with it’s 12.99 big rack was really good. But alas, it was in a full blown asian strip mall where Hon Kee chinese is king! Good bye Rib-licsh, you were really traditional old style US American in a foreign land strip mall!

I miss riblicious!!! Why did you have to close… there ribs were so good and the brisket was so soft. Bbq sauce was on point. The ribs were easy to rip off especially they have rice!!! COMEBACKRIBLICOUS!!!

Not too shabby. I liked the ribs. It’s good for a quick BBQ fix. Portions and price are meh. but staff is friendly and not shady. I can finish a meal to myself within 15 min. I wish they gave more portions for a skinny fat girl like me!

Been here twice and ordered the ribs and hot link with on my first visit, sides of white rice, potato salad, and macaroni salad, and on my second visit, 2 sides of white rice and macaroni salad. The ribs here were pretty good. Meat fell of the bone, and the sauces(regular and spicy) which are used are tasty as well. The rice used here is Chinese long grain. I prefer Japanese short grain rice that’s a little more sticky yet I do like Chinese long grain rice once and a while. There was nothing really special about the potato and macaroni salads. Not much mayo in the macaroni salad. There was a lot of flavor in the potato salad but tastes very similar to the potato salads sold at Safeway. The staff was very nice, which is usually what keeps me coming back. I would definitely come here for my BBQ quick fix.

Probably the cleanest BBQ restaurant ive been to. Nice little restaurant looks like family owned. Service is great, their always really nice and friendly. i order the #3 Ribs and Chicken, it comes with 2 sides and garlic bread for $ 12. Dry rub on the ribs are good. crisp clean flavor. Ribs taste great, a little fat never hurt, that’s what makes it taste good. This my favorite spot for BBQCHICKEN. It taste amazing. slow cooked and fall of the bone. seasoning is on point just great tasting. i don’t even need the BBQ sauce with the chicken. They have 2 bbq sauces you can choose from, their original or spicy sauce. i like the original one a lot better. You’ll leave full and satisfied, great BBQ joint Don’t forget to try the Corn muffin! i hope they start doing tri-tip here soon

My girlfriend and I came here with a Groupon to try two of their combo meals. Between the two of us, we ordered one combo of just ribs, which came with five ribs, and another one of ribs and brisket, which came with four ribs and one piece of brisket. Each combo came with two sides, so we chose the macaroni salad, potato salad, cole slaw, and fries. The sides were pretty generic — pretty much what you would expect. The meat though – that was good. The rib meat comes off the bone easily – yum! There really isn’t much in the ambiance or décor of this place(very plain). I felt a little sick afterwards from the sides(too much macaroni salad and cole slaw and potato salad… they were way too heavyy…). The meat was good though!!! Might visit this place again if I’m in the area and craving meat. But otherwise, didn’t have the best experience here.

I bought the Groupon for this place since my boyfriend is a big bbq fan. I’m not so much of a meat eater. Well to start, I made the huge mistake of coming here the week after the Groupon went on sale. So the line was crazy! Plus good thing we went there for early dinner around 6pm because they ran outta meat around 7pm… and some people were NOT happy about this(specifically a big lady who drove 30 minutes or whatever to get there and was apparently starving.). Also, they had ran out of oreos so I wasn’t able to try the deep fried oreos that I actually really was looking forward to! :( Anyways, i think $ 11.99/combo is a little much. Without the Groupon it would have been $ 25+ for 2 of us! I had the the Ribs&Chicken and my hunnie got the iIbs&Brisket. My favorite part was the garlic bread. The chicken was way greasy. My boyfriend’s brisket was yummy! The ribs were fall off the bone good too. I just doc’d a star for the price. I feel its too much for a take-out joint. Also, I’m not the best judge of ribs as I’m not a big fan. Other than that, I hope to one day go back to try the deep fried oreos(on a major holiday or wedding as I gave up sugars except on those occasions) and pick up some ribs for my boyfriend.

Discovered this place with the help of Groupon. We tried a little bit of everything and we weren’t disappointed. Garlic bread: B pretty standard garlic bread Cole slaw: A– tasted sweet and homemade Macaroni salad: C probably store bought from their distributor Pork ribs: B cooked well, burnt at some corners Brisket: A cooked perfectly, melted in my mouth Hot Iink: B tasted kind of like Costco brand Fried twinky: A tasted great, first time I’ve tried it Cornbread: A the highlight of my meal; lightly toasted and very buttery Overall, this place has decent food, but doesn’t really have any character. There are a few chairs in here and a widescreen TV. The cashier looks bored out of his mind, but gets the job done. There are better places in the bay to get your BBQ, but if you’re located near here, this will do it. Really impressed with their portions.

If it weren’t for Groupon, I probably wouldn’t have known that this place existed. That being said, my boyfriend and I went to Rib-licious with a Groupon to try two of their combo meals. But the meat was super tender and delicious(RIBlicious, haha!). The rib meat comes off the bone easily and the brisket practically melts in your mouth. They give you two bottles(and I mean bottles) of their BBQ sauce: one is spicy and the other isn’t, and they were both equally good — not too tangy or salty. The atmosphere is pretty open and clean and simple. The cashier was very friendly and patient with us as we were deciding what to order. Overall, not a bad hole-in-the-wall place to satisfy any person’s meat cravings!

Came here because of a random impulse purchase on Groupon. Typical small joint in the Tully Area. I was actually not expecting this many people though! Rib-Licious was crowded at around 2pm, so all the tables were filled up. Luckily, I had a guy chilling at one and I asked him if he was done, so he can get out of there already. Very simple restaurant with tables and chairs. Nothing fancy. Service is quick and to the point. I gotta say though. For their price, you get a REALLYGOOD amount of food. For guys, it’s game on for those of you who eat alot. With our groupon, we were able to get 2 combo meals for the price of 1. Surprisingly, this fed 4 people including me in my family. That should give you an idea of what I meant by «a good amount of food.» ++ Garlic Bread was good but could of been more toasted ++ Chicken was nice and tender. I loved it ++ Beef Brisket was a bit on the dry side except for the juicy delicious fat pieces that I luckily got. ++ Ribs was pretty decent! ++ Potato salad is very standard ++ Macaroni salad is average also ++ Fries average but still crispy Not bad at all if you are in a rib craving!

This place closed up shop more than two hours early yesterday, having run out of food before 7pm.(What?!) Not out of ribs, or out of brisket, or out of sides, or out of desserts… Out. Of. Food. Waste of time. Waste of gas. Bad For: [X] Groups Bad For: [X] Dinner I’m told the groupon they offered was to blame for the food shortage. No excuse. Kevin C: «You want customers?» Rib-licious: «We want the groups!» Kevin C: «YOUCAN’T HANDLETHEGROUPS!»

I finally tried this place out. I live around here and pass this place by often. I heard about it on Unilocal when they were a new business. My mom and I decided to try this place out. The plaza is pretty tiny, it’s right across from Jollibee. After finding parking, we walked into an empty place. It made me a little worried because it was so dead. My mom and I decided to order the same #2 combo. This included 4 ribs and brisket. This combo comes with 2 sides. We decided to get a corn on the cob, macaroni salad, steamed rice, and baked beans. Everything was all so good. I have to say, the regular combo meal is HUGE and i recommend getting the mini meal next time. The ribs are sweet, juicy, and the meat falls right off the bones. I haven’t had a rib like that in a long time. The ribs are pretty thick and the 4 I had filled me up! The brisket is pretty darn delicious too. It’s soft and tender with great flavor. They have two BBQ sauces, which are regular and spicy. Spicy has a nice heat to it. I’ll definitely be coming back here. It’s also nice that they have that 5% off when you check-in with facebook.

Small clean place. It will start to get crowded after 7pm. If you have a smart phone, you will get 5% off if you check-in here on Facebook. You order at the front cashier first and sit down at a table while you wait for your food. Food took less than 10 mins to arrive. I got the #3 combo, which is Brisket and Ribs with 2 sides and garlic bread. I loved the Brisket, melt in your mouth tender! Ribs were slightly harder. You get two kinds of BBQ sauce to put on your meats: Spicy BBQ and regular BBQ, because they don’t put the sauce for you. For the 2 sides, I got baked beans and coleslaw. Both sides were yummy! I also got to try the hot link, which is spicy, but the skin is grilled too much so its hard. The potato salad is good too. The portion is too much for me, but my bf demolished his own. Cheap prices for delicious food.

I’m really sad to have to go from giving them 5 stars to 2 especially when i’ve been a fan of this place since they opened last year. Each time i’ve come back i find myself more disappointed in Riblicious. As many other reviewers have said this place gives you the ‘bang for your buck’ but unfortunately i dont think I can say that anymore. Their combo menu used to cost $ 9 and today when i came in, they changed the menu and is charging $ 11.99 now. I dunno about everyone else but a $ 3 price increase within ONE year is a bit extreme, at least for me it is. $ 14 bucks for a meal and soda at a fast-food style rib joint seems a little steep don’t you think? You can go to a sit down restaurant and get equally good ribs for the same price. Rib-licous was appealing to many people cause it was decent food with decent prices but no longer has that appeal. Not only that, they’ve become skimpier on their portions. Drinks are no longer refillable, they charge for refills now too. Their ribs use to be good but have become much more dry and doesn’t slide off the bone as easily as it used to. I was a huge fan of this place but the prices and deterioration of the quality of food no longer interests me which makes me sad because I really did love their food. =(

There’s an item here called the chili cheese hot link which is a hot link atop toasted bread and then covered with«Mama Gia’s Fire Chili» and cheese. I ordered it thinking it would be a regular chili cheese dog and for the most part, it is, but there’s something about the chili that gives it a different kick. Mama Gia, wherever you are, thank you for your chili. –1 star over an average of a few visits because their prices have increased to the point of sometimes not thinking the trip and food are worth it.

I have been back to Rib-licious numerous times now and each time, I have noticed positive changes. I really like how they take their customer’s opinions into consideration when running their business. Taking constructive criticism really does make a difference and I only wish that everyone took it seriously! Since they have opened last year, portion sizes have increased(compare for yourself: vs. ) and their menu has expanded with the addition of a few artery-clogging desserts. My favorites are the potato salad and baby back ribs. The hot links are spicy and great too. I think I’ve gotten to try everything on their menu and my least favorite would have to be the beef brisket. The reason it’s so «juicy» as everyone says it is, is because of all the fat that is on the meat. It really isn’t my cup of tea. I’ve also tried their fried ice cream( ), fried Oreos, and fried Twinkies( ). The fried ice cream was pretty good, but I don’t know what to say about the Oreos and Twinkies. You just have to try it for yourself. I will say one thing though, I would never do it again.

The Ribs here are booty son… I’ve picked a slab of frozen Kinder BBQ Ribs from Costco that tasted better than this place. The only thing I give them props is ummmmmmmm… the sauce taste good and they didn’t burn my ribs, thank you… They got their half rack priced $ 13.50 and a full rack for about $ 21…if u are big on taste when it comes to yr BBQ, then you have come to the wrong place, like spice up the ribs with some type of marinade and add some flavor… seemed like they walked across the street to Food 4 Less and picked up a packet of ribs and just heat and said here u go… would have got a 1 star rating from me but at least the sauce was good… lol

Hot on Unilocal as I’m writing this review. I came here with my brother for lunch to try out since I was feelin’ BBQ. The parking lot was very limited but it was okay since I found parking. I don’t know too many BBQ places in the Bay Area or maybe I just haven’t been looking in the right places. This opened up back in July so it was pretty recent. The building looked like it was supposed to be a office building of some sort. I ordered #11 from the $ 9 combo menu(numbers 1 through 11) which was the Chicken, Brisket, and Ribs and a medium soda($ 1.75); in addition, the combos come with garlic bread and a choice of two sides. I chose Macaroni Salad and Potato Salad and the total came out to $ 11.74. My brother ordered #10 which was the Chicken, Rib, and Link as well as a medium soda($ 11.74 total). Just FYI, #11 was the popular choice according to the guy who worked here. We waited a few minutes before our food was brought to our table. The guy who worked here gave us two huge bottles of BBQ sauce: one spicy and one regular. In my opinion, the meat tasted okay without the BBQ sauce; however, the meat tasted better with the BBQ sauce. The spicy BBQ sauce was just a little bit spicy but nothing super spicy. The Chicken was good from whatever amount I tried. The brisket and ribs were both good and if I had to choose, I’d pick the brisket over the rest. I think the brisket(with BBQ sauce) was better than the chicken and the ribs. There was A LOT of food and I couldn’t finish the chicken(and it was a lot of work cutting it up but that’s just me — I’m lazy to do that). For the price I paid, it was the most bang for your buck. Overall, the food was okay without the BBQ sauce and good with the BBQ sauce. BTW, they will be closed on Wednesdays starting tomorrow(8÷25÷10) so just watch for that.
