This place made my birthday so much fun! The bartender even gave me two free drinks and the karaōke dj made sure to squeeze my two requests in, despite arriving super late with many requests before closing. There were some reeeeally good singers tho, so make sure you get lots of liquid courage before getting on the mic!

A great place to go for singing karaōke in English, finally! No individual rooms but they have a great DJ that makes it fun for everyone and the bar tender is very friendly. Bring a good attitude and be ready to have fun, because you will! The downside is it is a bit dirty and smaller.

Best bartenders, KJ’s, and people around. Whether you’re singing or hanging out, the regulars will always be friendly. As a regular at this bar, here’s a word of advice: treat people with respect and you’ll be treated great. Act a fool and you’ll be scorned by the staff and regulars(rightfully so!). This is definitely the best spot to go to when you want to have fun or even if you just want a beer to relax.

She never even. looked towards me as I stood the I. for another 10 mins. Ended up leaving and went to Alex 49er bar witch was even worse and wtf how about a b day shot on the house? Played 425 for a tiny shot. of Kessler. My bay sucked.

This place has always been special, but Wendy coming out of retirement, lol, has brought back an aging neighborhood bar in need of a makeover.

I am a conservative reviewer hence the 4 stars. Also this place is definitely a matter of personal taste. If you are a 20 something in heels and a bandaid for a dress, the sorta college stud wanna be pro athlete type or a Cosmo style model sort, you maybe too stuffy or too soft for this. A bit musty for the hipster crowd. But if you love the kind of neighborhood dive that is all to quickly being wiped out by jazzy night spots and cafes or Rock joints with over priced covers and obserdly priced beer, this is the spot. A local’s bar. A place to hang out and drink, shoot some pool listen to some actually pretty good Karaōke. I don’t go often but have never had a bad time. And honestly I find comfort in the fact that this kind of establishment still has a place. Long live the Stag!!!

This place sucks! And the female bartender lets just say she could of had a couple drinks to not be so uptight.

Its small and a bit cramped at times, but the karaōke is fun. A true dive bar but friendly staff.

I can’t even bring myself to do my regular Unilocal rating for this place. What i’ll do is this: Imagine your local alley. Now imagine a small dive bar taking up said alley. Plop down a pool table. Place down the weird smelling carpet — is it cigarette smoke? Puke residue? Years of fun? Tears? Have the most mediocre but HILARIOUS barwoman man the bar… what do you get? The Red Stag lounge. A-OK with me!

I couldn’t go on Unilocal without mentioning my spot and my bartenders Danielle, Shannon, and Justin and KJs Dean and Nate. I don’t know what I would do without them because this place brought me out of my shell and I love to sing. You can be yourself and have a good time. No bougie, stuck-up nightclub could ever top the enjoyment of this bar!!!

This place looked ok when we came in. The lady at the bar asked us for our IDs. The two girls showed foreign country IDs and were both turned down because the bartender had trouble reading the IDs or because she thought one said it was expired but she also said she did not understand spanish so I’m not sure how she knew the difference between the issue date and the expiration date. I tried a few times to explain but the bartender insisted that she had been fined in the past so we had to leave and she didn’t even attempt to understand my friends’ situation. I would probably have come back but our first impression was horrible.

local watering hole style dive bar. Karaōke every night, DJ will find you any song. pool tables is a solid plus along with strong drinks. Bring cash, they add a credit charge. The bartenders are friendly

This has been my home bar for a little while now. I would consider it a step above a dive bar. The bartenders are great at what they do. The prices are fair and yes they have karaōke seven nights a week starting at 930 so please don’t call and ask. 1 pool table that I probably wouldn’t play at if it was crowded. Good bar to bring the party with you to.

Typical dive bar. Pool tables. Strong drinks. Karaōke 7 days a week(I think?) Strong crowd of regulars Best night: Saturday, if Justin is bartending. He’s the Bee’s Knees. Only downside/tip: Come with cash or leave your tab open. There’s like a 1 – 2 $ charge per credit card transaction. Kind of lame.

This place is seriously a hole in the wall. Drinks are cheap but of course should be. It’s a very narrow bar with karaōke and one pool table. You can even come in your sweats. The bartender is very nice, can’t complain there. I like watching people sound foolish with karaōke haha.

A group an of friends and I came here for one of their birthday gathering. Walking in this place is small. We came around 9:30pm so we had plenty of room to sit. As the time went on, the place started to fill up. The karaōke was so much fun! We sang so many songs and screamed on top of our lungs! I guess the bartender was having so much fun, he gave everyone woman in the bar a free drink(of course we tipped him). There isn’t too much to say but it was super fun!

Went here on a date and had a decent time enjoying the atmosphere and people. If you’re looking for a place away from downtown, this is a good place to start. It’s a bit small for me, but the place never got too crowded to walk through. There’s an older crowd there early in the evening, but younger folks seem to pour in after 10:30 or so. The younger crowd seems to be more alternative(I don’t like to use hipster or Indie because that’s not what these people were). Karaōke choice is excellent, and the people singing(good or bad) are fun to watch. Best part is you can sing from anywhere in the bar! The bartender even rapped while serving drinks! I probably could’ve taken my date somewhere more classy/romantic, but for a casual night like we wanted, it was exactly what we were looking for. Only change I would’ve liked is a larger selection of beers. Thanks for the drinks, guys!

Steps to breaking the ice w/any woman at Red Stag. 1) Step up to the bar & order a shot and a beer. Tip well. 2) Drink said shot and beer. 3) Make eye contact w/your object of affection. 4) Step up to the mic and be the first singer of the night. Tip your KJ well. 5) Walk up to said object of affection and begin a conversation. Done. Safe travels, my friend.

I.LOVE.DIVE.BARS. If you check in here on Unilocal, you get a free drink. thats right, 2 for 1. big big win for me. Lots of regulars here, and as the night progresses, others trickle in. For some reason, I had trouble finding it. its in the strip mall smack in the middle. drive by all the stores slowly if you’re lost. Karaōke on a friday night is cool, but minus points for the guy who sang«baby got back» and didn’t know all the words. come on, really?
