Ok so I came in with my girlfriend today, kinda in a hurry but no big deal I thought it wouldn’t b more than 10 minutes. We ordered the spicy chicken whatever and curly fries. So 10 minutes go by and all the orders for the people behind us have been given out. Still no big deal maybe the food takes longer. 5 minutes later a lady comes in and orders the same chicken. 5 more minutes go by «total of 20 minutes» and the cashier guy brings out both our orders at the same time. Which means they didn’t even start my chicken until that other lady ordered hers 15 minutes after. And I know it wasn’t the fries that took that long because I saw them finished and waiting at the register. Also all 3 workers were just standing around laughing literally the whole time. This is ridiculous and I’m never coming back. Like seriously do your job. It should not take 20 minutes to deep fry some chicken. I would know I work at a restaurant. Even if you hav to season and bread it first… I wish I could have taken back my tip… The guy definitely didn’t deserve it Gave my girlfriend a stomach ache also. And u guys deleated my post so I’m gunna post it again

Haven’t been to Quickly in years now. Maybe it’s because there drinks are a bit too sweet compare to other boba joints. I decided I wanted boba as well since the ice coffee Mint Mojito didn’t quite hit the spot. [Happy hour after 5pm: Buy one get one FREE] Absolutely! Why not?!? Ordered a regular Thai milk tea and got the regular ice milk tea for free.

Ew quickly’s how Are you gonna just scoop my milk tea from a bucket and go in the back and just microwave it… Tf I see u slackers. To the girl who made my drink and did that this review is for your lazy ass. I don’t want my milk tea to come from a bucket… I want it freshly brewed. What the hell quickly

I used to really like this specific Quickly. Their earl grey milk tea was delicious. However, they are now ALWAYS sold out of it. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s popular or if they just stopped ordering that flavor. So I’m always forced to order another drink and whatever I order, ends up average at best. Plus the service is suuuuuuper slow here. You can’t blame the employees… they’re almost always understaffed. You can tell the manager is stingy and doesn’t want to hire more people… but come on, you are located across a huge university and you think having one employee per shift to make both the drinks and take orders is a good idea?! Every time the manager is here, you can tell who she is because she is the least friendly person working there.

Why only cash facility? I can’t think of a reason that demands a place like this to be cash only. That causes inconvenience.

Quick review for Quickly. Basically the OG milk tea places but losing out now to the newer Taiwanese style boba shops opening up now. They are still alright and I’d come here if there wasn’t better options around. They do have good BOGO deals and its pretty cheap.

I came here a week ago and it was ok. I came unprepared without cash so I had to cancel my order and walk across the entire SJSU campus just to get cash. When I was here, they were playing K-pop music videos on the TV — which I found quite interesting. The drinks were alright. I ordered the strawberry milk tea and green apple tea with pearls and they taste somewhat consistent with the ones I had at Quickly Chinatown Los Angeles. The only difference is that the cup has more width than height. I also ordered popcorn chicken and noticed that they used white meat rather than dark meat. It was good; tasted somewhat healthier. I wouldn’t say that this is the best Quickly location but I think that it can suffice; especially if you’re a SJSU student this is very convenient. I wish my university had a milk tea store right across the street! I don’t know if I’ll be back; probably not — unless I visit the university again.

In general, Quickly isn’t really my favorite milk tea place. It’s a pretty inconsistent chain when it comes to flavor, and I only like a few spots. But this spot is probably the worst. The only things I really like off the menu is their jasmine milk tea, and a couple of their snow drinks. But everything else tastes way too sugary and artificial. The service is usually okay, but some employees aren’t the most pleasant. Some make you wait for so long just to take your order. I ordered a honey green tea once and for some reason I guess the girl taking my order heard«lemon green tea» so that’s what I got. I told her that my drink was wrong and what I actually ordered. Instead of her making me my actual drink(like how most places would/should), she gave me a death stare and told me «well, your receipt says lemon,» inferring that she won’t remake my drink. I had to tell her that she must have heard it wrong or I spoke unclearly or something, and that I want the drink I actually ordered and paid for. She remade my drink after pretty much arguing with her, and she didn’t even apologize. I watched her do the same with another customer when the person ordered a regular milk tea and ended up with a Thai milk tea instead. The customer wasn’t as persistent though and just accepted the Thai milk tea when the employee started giving her attitude. The employee now remembers me and always gives me attitude if I order something from there, especially the honey green tea. Safe to say that I wouldn’t come back to this location.

Drank this every other day during my SJSU days; I’m sure that’s not healthy at all. I read a lot of comments regarding how sweet their milk tea is but that’s what I love about this Quickly. Other Quickly locations aren’t as sweet. I also get the matcha green tea snow– yummy. Cons– under staffed; 1 cashier and 1 person pouring/making drinks. Your drink may be ready but you won’t receive it until the cashier decides to turn around. I used to miss my DASH bus because of this when I went to school haha. –Boba is not good. I always ask for my drinks without pearls. –Cash only– but they do have an ATM machine inside. Cons aside, the drinks are delish! Whenever I’m at Tangerine getting a hair cut, I always stop by.

Of all the Quickly’s I’ve been to, the consistency of their basic milk teas(Thai, Black, green) have always been on point. Their tapioca is good too. But be warned, when service is bad, it’s really bad. Sometimes I feel like they should just change the name to Slowly. On a side note, props to whoever plays their 90’s R&B Pandora station. Definitely makes the wait really enjoyable.

Am addicted to this place! The drink that helped me graduate from SJSU :) My favorites keep changing here. But the most recent one is Regular milk tea with lychee jelly in it without ice. And my all-time favorite — pepper crispy chicken with extra basil leaves medium spicy! You just can’t go wrong with any drink here.

The best Quickly spot! Yes. I’m not for chains but the staff is great! I’ve become a regular here, so they know me now. They are always nice and helpful even if I come 5 minutes before closing. Yes, in know… shame shame on me. So, I gotta give it to them! Plus, when you buy any milk tea, you get a regular flavored milk tea for free!(After 5PM)

When I was a student at SJSU this place was bad. This place is still bad, absolutely the worst boba money can buy.

The popcorn chicken was great! loved it. But the service was not very good. I ordered a non spicy popcorn chicken but they gave me a medium spicy one. So I went up to tell them that it was an error. The attitude of the workers there was, I thought, really disrespectful. «You SAID it was medium when I asked you,» the cashier said. «No, I ordered non spicy,» I replied. I think they could have used a better way to phrase it and could have had a better attitude. I didn’t think they were truly serving their customers… or even enjoyed their job. When they fixed my order and handed my /non spicy/popcorn chicken to me again, the worker was sorta rude and just stared at me. Also, this whole time I did not get an apology. …and maybe a warm smile would have been nice :((((

FOUND A PUBIC(?) HAIRWITHGREENJUNKONITINMYBOBA! I used to come here every so often when I studied at SJSU. I was back in the area visiting and decided to stop by here. Ughhh wish I hadn’t. The drinks weren’t very good, and I noticed they were sweeping the floor while making drinks. This didn’t bother me too much and I had already ordered… I bought BOGO milk tea, drank one and brought the other one back with me. Was drinking it while working and suddenly noticed this crunchy texture in one of the pearls. I spit it out and there was this hair(?) around 1 inch, kinky with green junk stuck on it. I tried thinking of what else this could be, and the only thing I can think of is a fishing pole string with green junk on it. But why is it kinky and 1 inch, and clearly has no artificial texture? Also, why would it be in my drink? I am guessing the tapioca pearls are really fuckking old and when they were cooking some cunt got his or her pubic hair in there(maybe by itching his or her crotch while preparing food???). I’ve been a Unilocal member for over 5+ years. Unfortunately I wish I was joking when I wrote this. Quickly managers etc., please do not even bother contacting me in hopes of «fixing» this situation. I’m not going to take down this review, but if you have an explanation please share what this disgusting object was. This experience was SOGROSS, absolutely nasty. And I was drinking milk tea too, honestly if it weren’t for the green junk and hair being stuck to a tapioca pearl, I’d say someone was jacking into the milk tea(although as it stands, I guess this isn’t too far from reality…). STAYAWAY!!!

There are so many boba places around downtown San Jose. You would think that the stiff competition would drive up quality and value, but that’s obviously not the case here. We tried a few drinks here and they were all overly sweet and kind of bad in general. For my Tiger Milk Tea, it tasted so sweet and weird that I had to bring it home and dilute it with milk to make it drinkable. As for the boba itself, I just threw them away. Yuck! On top of that, the price is not cheap w/o the Buy One Get One Free offer and even then, you’ll still have to pay extra for boba. And ironically, the service is not«quickly» at all. There were literally 1 other person in the store and it still took them 10 min. Yeah… so no. Just walk 5 min in any direction and you can probably find a better place.

I must say, I have been to a number of different boba places here in San Jose and none of them are as good as Quickly’s Tea Café! If you are looking for something sweet and refreshing I suggest you to get the«Vanilla Snow» with boba! Literally the best drink ever! I absolutely LOVEIT. So cool and refreshing! If there was one thing I would suggest if would be the air ventilation in the establishment. It gets a bit stuffy in there when it’s winter because it’s so cold outside and everyone is inside creating a lot of body heat. Also there service can be a bit slow and they do not take credit cards which is a bummer because I hardly carry cash around. Other than that the vanilla snow(along with the other drinks) is definitely 5 star quality.

As my friend says, this place should be called«slowlys.» Seriously, if SJSU is in session, be prepared to wait! The drinks are blah… There are a few other places within walking distance that are much better. This review is for the lobster balls. Yummy! When I’m in need of a savory snack at work, these are my go to’s! The lobster balls are deep fried and sprinkled with spicy salts according to your preference(mild, medium, hot.). I cant take much heat, so I usually get mild– and add additional seasoning if needed. Hey, better safe than sorry! The bad part is they occasionally run out of lobster balls for weeks at a time. :(

Take your time… There is no one else here. Just kiddint. Don’t come here. You can have three people working but if the register person is switching duties, you should know that you won’t be getting your drink until the next person comes on duty. They take their precious time making your drink and their aloe is always sour. I don’t understand that but I guess that’s my fault for not learning the lesson the first time around. CASHONLY
