Every body here is so supportive and caring. They have a pool, which is really nice. Going to the gym was a really nice option. I felt the whole time that my progress was the most important focus. It helped a lot.

Wow! I’m so grateful I did not read the negative review before finding Positive Progressions! We have had the complete opposite experience! Although I would agree there did not seem to be a bunch of people familiar with«living on the streets» I found this comforting. Katy has poured her heart out with love and boundaries. It has been a very positive experience.

this place felt like it was run by children who were given a lot of money. the staff was lazy, unprofessional, and incredibly uneducated. i felt so sad for all the poor clients there that didn’t know any better, and who got the idea that this place represented any sense of recovery. this place is disorganized, and the group leaders(josiah and katie) are both very wealthy(therefore do not understand what it is like to struggle financially or what it feels like to live on the streets), have no concept or understanding of anything outside of the basic outlines of the 12 step program(on a good day) and were disfunctional in all areas. patients received medication in front of other clients,(where is protection of their confidentiality?) clients are given complete freedom to do whatever they want, including wander in and out of «groups», watch TV, smoke, take showers, get water or food from the kitchen, etc. i cannot recommend a place any less than positive progression. i am shocked that a place like this exists, and i urge people or family members looking for a treatment facility to look elsewhere. there are great programs pretty much anywhere else. p90, the camp, womens recovery association, mills peninsula, etc. there ARE educated and understanding staff out there who have a lot of great information to share– just make sure to look at a different program to find them! also, this program claims to be dual diagnosis. it is NOT. the woman i previously mentioned told me to stop taking one of my medications and increase the dosage of another. she is not a doctor, nor is she qualified in any capactiy to deal with medication. illegal, and very inappropriate.
