This review is based only on the beignets. I walked in and the place was pretty empty maybe because it was late. I arrived around 9:30 and was pleased to see that they were still open. It may have been the owner, he was sweet and handed me a menu after asking if I was going to order take out. Ordered half a dozen and it about 5 minutes or so for him to make it himself. He was really nice and walked the beignets out to me and after leaving the premises I realized that he gave me an extra. Thats a plus but it wouldn’t have mattered if the beignets werent any good. They were delicious I’ll be back. yummy.

Good beignets, strong vietnamese coffee and smoothie however the bathrooms are really DISGUSTING!!! After seeing this, I don’t know how clean their kitchen is then. Any food establishment MUSTHAVE a CLEAN bathroom. So if I were you think twice before coming here. Or better yet check the bathroom before ordering food.

Nice, warm, fluffy beignets. Cannot go wrong with that. I believe what makes it taste so delicious is the extra powdered sugar. Without the sugar, it taste like a plain sweet bread. However, with the sugar, my mouth starts to water. On the contrary, the customer service was not as friendly. It was our first time there and they didn’t offer any suggestions or anything. We had to go up to them to order and to pay. Not even a simple hello.

BIG beignet! I came to Moi&Toi for dessert with coworkers after a team building lunch and we all loved this place! So we picked up a dozen of these. There were 5 of us. Wow. We had a lot of extra! I got a avocado smoothie and some of my friends got coffee. After eating one of these king size beignets I was so sleepy that I should have vouched for a coffee too! This store is in the corner of a building which is really nice because they keep the side door open and it creates a nice breeze flowing through the side and front door. Cool black furniture and chairs are very comfortable to enjoy your desserts or coffees. They have wifi so some people kind of just hang out, starbucks style. It’s a challenge not to get your powdered sugar all over the black fabric though. Got some tv’s in here and these picture frames that display slide shows. I don’t think they set it yet as it seemed to be playing random stock images. All in all I think it was a pretty cool spot!

4 stars for the beignets, but they could use some improvement on their customer service and atmosphere. I drove by moi&toi café on my way to dinner at Crawdaddy’s(they are in the same strip mall), and saw their sign for beignets so had to stop by and check them out afterwards. This is definitely a family owned and run business, and they had a little girl running around as well as a teenage boy who sat around playing video games. I almost turned and walked out since it’s really unprofessional to have your kids running around, and doesn’t lead me to think that they are capable of turning out good food in that type of environment. However, I stayed and decided to order a Half Dozen Beignets($ 6, ), which actually turned out to be pretty good. Surprisingly, they were some of the best I’ve had outside of New Orleans. Definitely not as fluffy as Café Du Monde’s in New Orleans, but pretty good compared to a lot of the others I’ve had in the Bay Area. I saw them cutting the dough and frying to order, so the beignets were extra fresh, but it took about 10 minutes before it was ready. I’d recommend coming to moi& toi if you’re craving beignets, but don’t come on a weekday night when the whole family and kids might be around. At least parking in this lot is easy to find.

Deliciously fresh, warm, and fluffy beignets that are generously topped with powdered sugar. Not amazing, but great enough to enjoy. Bought a bakers dozen = 13 (Too many for the girlfriend and I to finish there, so we took it home and melted some chocolate over it) Also ordered a Chai Latte which was made wonderfully. Great place for a craving or delectable snack at any time of the day.

Very roomy in here! Free wifi! Enjoyed all the flat screen tv’s and digital photo art on the walls! So my favorite item on the menu is the Vietnamese coffee… A lil pricey on the coffee but it was well worth the energy it gave me! Now as far a beignet goes, considering I never been to New Orleans, it tasted like a baked crossaint with sprinkled powdered sugar? not really impressed but not so horrible either :/so it sucks that I can’t compare it to the original beignet :/. the coffee on the other hand was really strong and pretty good, i like that it was in a bigger cup too, most viet coffee shop give you the coffee in a little cup… no bueno! i need my heart to do summersaults all day! lol! overall i like the space and the flat screens all over, wifi is also great! looking forward to trying the rest of the menu and i will be coming back soon to study!

New name, same thing on the inside. The prices sure have changed quite a bit but it’s still that purple haired lazy girl that works there. She is so damn rude I swear, I feel bad for all the male workers that work with her. All the men are so nice and friendly and then BOOM, she walks in and sucks the life out of them. The Beignets here are still HOLLOW which it shouldn’t be, they stopped making that bomb ass cream cheese for the beignets, and they took out the best damn items on their menu’s! They took out their Italian Soda’s and that delicious Strawberry Cheesecake Crêpe. They even took out my favorite drink on their menu, the Kahlua Chocolate Latte. 3 Stars for changing everything for the worst, and keeping the worst.

2.5 stars After walking around walmart I was craving some milk tea with boba. By then, everywhere else was closed so since it’s literally across the street, I settled on this place. Walking in, there was 1 party seated and it seemed like a nice quiet place to catch up with friends. I ordered a jasmine milk tea with boba and less sweet($ 4). Grabbed it and left. It was HK style milk tea and the boba was very soggy and didn’t taste that great. I just finished drinking the milk tea and threw out the boba. Overall, I think it was overpriced and way too sweet. Decent but expensive for what it is.

I. Food: 3.5 II. Service: 4 III. Environment: 4 I. I ordered the powder beignets. They were amazing! Best around considering that there aren’t many bakeries/restaurants that serve them in San Jose. They were soft, fresh and topped with a great amount of powdered sugar. Yummy =]! They have a great variety of drinks: coffee, espressos, lattes, smoothies, and even milk teas! II. The place was not totally packed with people so service was really fast. The owners were friendly. III. Great place to come and sit with friends! It has a computer café feel to it. Décor: leather seats, some chairs had a small tabletop attached to place your laptop on, plush sofa, and lots of tables. They have many flat screen TVs on the walls. Definitely feels super clean and welcoming.

At first, I really thought this place was another typical raunchy Vietnamese coffee shop, but to my surprise this place is extremely clean cut and family friendly. Pros: Sandwiches: The sandwiches are pretty good here since they really toast up their banquette, croissant, or bagel. And the sandwiches comes with chips on the side. I personally loved the chicken avocado, since they weren’t shy about adding on avocado. Beignets: There’s not that places within the area that offers freshly deep fried beignets. Its a must if you’re at Moi and Toi café, and I highly recommend eating them as they come out hot. Service: The ladies taking and making the orders are really cute and friendly. Seating: The place is spacious with plenty of seating for a café and they have a whole bunch of flat screens. Cons: Beverage Selection: The only disappointment I had was the lack of drinks to choose from, especially since most were on the pricier side.

Oh so yummy beignets! The lady making them was super nice and gave us a few extra ones. Will be back to try their drinks and grab more beignets. Definitely recommend this place.

I’m giving this place three stars for three reasons: the drinks are decent, the décor is nice, and this is the first Vietnamese café I’ve been to that has fully dressed girls(although some may see this as more of a con than a pro). I did have a few qualms with this place, though. When I opened the door, literally everyone there(15 or so people) turned to stare at who was coming in. Needless to say, I felt pretty awkward and uncomfortable the entire time I was there. I’m lactose intolerant and they didn’t have a soy option on the menu; good thing I had a spare lactaste pill on me. Although I enjoyed my drink, I felt like all of the drinks were overpriced. My small cup of chai latte was $ 4 and my friend’s smoothie was almost $ 5.

After eating phở at Bun Bo Hue An Nam, I always find an excuse to stop by here. What can I say? Their hot, fluffy, soft, and yummy beignets topped with powdered sugar is addicting. My hubby claims that they have the best caramel macchiato, but I haven’t tried it yet. However, these guys know how to make an espresso. Support this small mom and pop shop since the owners are very friendly. Plus where can you eat awesome beignets with a double shot of espresso while watching NFL football on the big screen and streaming live updates for your fantasy football team because of their free wi-fi? Well, ladies and gentlemen, you can find all of this at Moi and Toi!

The beignets are delicious. Chewy, sort of crunchy, and not too sweet. Although, they could use a lighter hand with the powdered sugar. I want it all the time, but don’t have the patience nor the willpower to drive through the streets of Story. Crime of passion drink is pretty, but way too sweet. Good snacks too, just like Coffee Lovers(same owner?). Enough for a meal or as a snack to share with friends. Prompt and friendly service!

This place was pretty epic. I only wish I knew it was there and what it was like when I went to sjsu. I did not have a huge sampling of the menu, but I did order some begniets and they were crispy, sweet, and delicious. As for the restaurant, it was cool. It was quiet and it seems like if you need a little getaway from whatever it is that may or may not plague you, this may be the place to kick back have a french pastry or tapioca and simply chill. They also have four big screens inside the giants game was on, when I was there, just saw em hand the reds their walkin paper to close the series. I would give five stars, but simply because I did not have a huge sampling of all things on tap, I will graciously give four, but of no fault of their own. Great place, I recommend completely.

Came here on Saturday for the first time with my husband and kids. Inside was very nice and clean. My husband ordered a coffee which he seemed to enjoy and we also ordered crepes and beignets. It was such a great dessert that we all enjoyed. They were cooked to order not in some display case sitting there all day. We will absolutely return.

After countless searches on Unilocal searching for beignets this was the one place that turned up. I came here with a friend and it was a really nice place, had a sports bar feel to it with it’s multiple flat screens. We ordered half a dozen beignets and Thai tea. The beignets were not big as ones you can get at Downtown Disney, but definitely on the smaller side. I kinda liked this because bigger beignets can make you full easily. The beignets were made to order and came out piping hot with loads of powdered sugar. They were crisp and their center was fluffy, but not overly like biscuits which I kinda wanted. The Thai tea was smooth and strong which I liked, I’m not a fan of really milked down Thai tea and their pearls were cooked perfectly. The price was good for the amount we got about 7 dollars each person for 6 beignets and Thai tea. They accept card and cash! Yay!
