The second day we got chicken stir fry and a dragon roll. The dragon rolls are huge and the stir fry could feed 4. This place is delicious Soy sauce and spicy fried chicken. Order this and get the salad. Immaculate and clean here. Nice people and very friendly. Use the red sauce on the table. Get plenty of napkins and sit down and eat. I am eating this in class and I needed a wet wipe. Coming back for this chicken. So yummy to my tummy

Makes me sad to review this not 100% positively because the food is great… but the service is terrible. They ran my card and insisted that there was a problem with my card, pulled up my online banking and had been charged. They continued to insist that they run the card again, despite my being able to prove that I had already been charged. She finally conceded to ‘check her system’ and said ‘oh you did pay.’ Embarrassed in front of the whole restaurant by the cashier insisting that my card had been declined when it was a system error, and not so much as an apology. I will not be coming back.

This only is for the mild soy sauce chicken wings. 6 pieces for $ 7.99 + tax. It tastes exactly like Lucky’s teriyaki chicken, which I like. I mean identical. They have ramen so it will be worth trying that.

Came again last night looking for something reasonable healthy. We ordered the sizzling pot with beef and the special with chicken, also ordered the philly roll. They still ask for a tip for counter service, which is still inappropriate in my book as its self serve, I still tip though because I want to keep the person making my food HAPPY!!! The menu lists as the pork option for the dishes we ordered spicy, I tried to get the chicken and beef spicy but this was not an option. Anyway the bowls were delicious, the meat cooked well and the veggies fresh. I would pass on the rolls though. I would definitely get the sizzling rice option when we go again. Minus one star for the requested tip.

We now have gotten pick up here twice this month. I was hesitant at first seemed like a little strange to order sushi and I’m prego, so I’m pretty strict about cleanliness and freshness. We were pleasantly surprised. I only got cooked rolls since I’m prego, and we got bip n bop. Food was so good. I can’t wait to go back. Both times we picked up to go, but inside it looks very nice. I want to eat in next time. Feels clean, comfortable, and cool. air conditioning. Yes we will be back!

Hands down, the best place to eat in the area. The wings are amazing, the people are wonderfully kind, and you cannot go wrong with the food. I am obsessed with their spicy wings!

My favorite Korean/Japanese mom and pop place to go. It occupies the old hamburger standalone building(I forgot the name-sorry) on S. Bascom. It’s very small, very clean and the cashier/order taker is so sweet and smiley. I think she’s the mom, g-mom or sweet aunt of the family. Upon ordering, she repeats order in her warm and friendly Asian accent and when you approve, she flips screen(iPad screen) so you see order and if paying by credit card /debit, you slide your card. More modern than other mom and pops. Food comes out in good time, piping hot. We have tried KFC(korean fried chicken). To me, it tasted re-fried. Like it was first fried hours ago and re-Fried when ordered. But other in party, thought it was freshly fried and tasted ok. I love their hot stone pot bibimbap. The bowls are wide but not overfilled, but still thinly descent filled bowl. It’s hot !!! Sushi were PLENTUFUL. At any new sushi place. I always try Califirnia rolls. Yes, The Califirnia rolls. So many roll peices on a long sushi tray for only $ 4.99. They do have about a dozen other sushi rolls which are bit more in price. The rice bowls were not my favorite. Not sure if I ordered wrong, but they have window advertising for«rice bowls» but I got a round aluminum dish filled with 75% salad, 15% protein(beef) and 10% cooked rice. Instead of «where’s the beef?» I said, ‘where’s the rice?” Never knew rice bowls had so much(bagged) salad in it. It was a huge disappointiment for me. I’ll stick with the hot clay pot(dol sat bibimbap) and California rolls and the standard tofu deprived miso soup. All three and I’m happy. I do wish they have Korean tofu soup(soon Dubu) and maybe a couple of side dishes like Korean kimchi or Japanese pickled(daikon) radish or even a mini bar of complimentary side dishes(Korean ban chans?). But I still love the friendly woman and my three favorites there.

This shop is a stand alone store! Came here to have a little ketchup dinner with a friend. I ended up locking my keys in the car so we lingered at our table well after we were done for someone to bring my spare key. We came during dinner rush on a Wednesday and the place was pretty filled. There are about 10 tables that seat 2 – 4 each. I think you can combine tables for bigger parties if they’re available. You order and pay first, then grab a table. Or have your friend order & pay and you grab the table, taha. This places has cold and hot stone bibimbap with your choice of protein and a poke version as well. A choice of white rice or fried rice is also offered for the bibimbaps~ They offer a couple of appetizers(fried stuff: dumplings, fries, onion rings), other side options(chicken wings, Korean pancakes), and a selection of sushi rolls. We ordered the spicy pork stone pot and a rainbow roll to share. Any condiments or utensils you may need are generally at the table. Wasabi and ginger will come out with the roll. Our stone pot came out first and it was a pretty big! It also comes with miso soup~ You also get a choice of white rice or fried rice for the bibimbap, we got the fried rice. We took our time picking at it while chatting, but our roll just took forever to come out. We asked about it and they apologized saying that it was coming up soon~ It basically came out after we were done with the bibimbap. Good thing we were sharing, it would have been awkward if one person got the bibimbap and the other the roll. Would have been nice if they came out around the same time. Looked like there was only one person doing sushi so it can’t be helped if he’s backed up. Bibimbap was good! Sushi was okay, in my opinion the fish to roll ratio was off. Slices of fish were thin~ :(

This is my second time dining here and gosh darn it! Why wasn’t this place open when I lived across the street from here? This would definitely have become the place where everybody knows my name. It’s just easy, classic Korean bibimbap in a stone pot or not and is fresh, hot, and tasty! It’s also very clean and looks like a sweet family business with a mother/son combo. Every time we want feel like Korean we will come here. Still closer than going all the way to Santa Clara.

Will not return… there was a hair in my roll. Now I understand that these kind of things happen but when I took it to the cashier, she responded, «oh.yeah» and showed it to the woman that prepared it. They couldn’t find the hair so they asked me again what was wrong. After the woman found it, she took it out and laughed out loud with a male co worker. No apology. Now I would have forgiven the hair issue but their people skills is horrible. Not coming back.

Very good Korean quick food. I wouldn’t call it fast food because it’s freshly made and good flavor. If you want good food fast and you’re not trying to act like a judge on a Food Network gameshow, this is a great choice.

Completely agree with Jae P. Below. My experience: — Served frozen raw fish — Rice for the bibimbap was old — had hard dried chunks of rice. Both huge and lazy offenses for restaurants and SUSHI!

Half the menu is Korean and the other half is Japanese. The portions here are generous. The rolls are large, and the bibimbops are very filling. I would say the pricing is very reasonable. The rolls and the bowl are very similar to other Japanese an Korean places. The Philadelphia Roll, however, was different. My usual Philadelphia roll comes with cream cheese, tuna, and avocado. The one here adds imitation crab mix and cucumbers(cucumbers not included in picture). Not bad! Just noticed a different. Lasty, the service was a bit slow though, considering we had to wait 15 — 20 mins for 2 rolls and a bowl when we were the only ones in the restaurant.

A great addition to the area. A fast-food type of restaurant that gives you a good cooked meal. I ordered a bi bim bop and a roll, and both were good. The place is clean and the staff were helpful. I got the feeling it’s a family owned restaurant, and that always adds a level of quality and service that I love. The tastes were good on everything ordered. I’ll definitely go back.

Just love this place. So friendly and welcoming. My hubby and I come here pretty regularly now. They have the most delicious food. I have tried almost the whole menu and the rolls are still my favorite. My man craves their stone pot bi bim bap. He gets it every time. So good and huge portions. We always take food home. This place has really added to the neighborhood. I am so glad they opened.

DO: try the bibimbop DONT: get the ramen Up to you: if you want to pay more for the hot stone bowl to burn your rice until its crispy. Learn: bibimbop is like korean fried rice with fresh veggies, its savory, slighty sweet and spicy.

The good news!- inexpensive bop and fresh made«Wasabi» sushi bar grade rolls. Most with fake crab… a few veggie and a couple of chicken or beef sushi rolls. People are nice, place is clean… price is excellent! Bad news– won’t last too long! Bad location, dark and old neighborhood with Compton,(Old Burbank) neighborhood. I feel sorry for them because if they talked to people in the neighborhood they’d then know why Juicy Burger and the restaurant 7 years prior vannished. I hope they survive, but with the packed always Vietnamese place by the hospital just a few blocks up… and the taco place across the street they will have a difficult time competing. The real issue is the seedy early 70’s area that needs to be bull dozed and reconstructed. The shrimp avocado roll I had for $ 8 was pretty good! Hope for the best …

Brand new fusion Korean joint where Juicy Burger once was! Friendly, fast service. Delicious, mainstream Korean food. They have many variations of the California roll with limited raw fish(tuna and salmon) and maki rolls which are the very fresh crunchy all veggie rolls I believe. They have authentic sweet and saucy deep fried chicken wings and drumsticks in regular, mild(soy sauce), spicy and super spicy. They have a house special salad and a house special fried rice. You can also supplement your order with fries, onion rings, sweet fries, fried dumplings or miso soup. In my opinion the best thing on the menu is the bi bim bop. You can do it with or without the stone pot. But any hardcore bi bim bop fan knows you need the stone pot to get the fried egg and slightly burnt rice at the bottom. The bi bim bop comes with meat and vegetables which choice of beef, pork, chicken or salmon(no stone pot only). Same choices for Grill Special for salad, rice and meat. My only recommendations for this brand new establishment. Move the sauces off your front counter so you don’t have a traffic jam at the front as new customers come in. Maybe take food to tables instead of having customers come back up to get it. Maybe take names or table numbers to organize the orders. For these prices you should definitely be using more real plates and silverware. It gives a sense of refinement and you are in one of the most hipster cities in the world. it’s best to be green. You are not really fast food. Otherwise, the food is good, the service is fast and friendly and I wish you the best with the new endeavour!
