Mimi’s Cafe

$ 50 card rcvd at Christmas. Spent $ 23.92 .Checked balance on line and it read $ 20.00 not $ 26.08. I had asked for a balance check receipt and waitress said their register didn’t work to print balances. Spoke with manager next time and so far have not heard from him. I think the waitress pocketed the $ 6.08 because i didn’t leave a card tip. Who would leave a card tip of $ 6.08 on a bill of $ 23.92.

It has been my favorite place to treat myself to a good meal at least ones every 3 or so months.
I have always had a great experience here but today, I don’t know if I will come back we received our food at 1:42 finely and my salad never made to my table.
Many empty tables and many people waiting to be call. This please used to be awesome what happened?!
MANAGEMENT PLEASE MAKE IT THE WAY IT WAS BEFORE!

I came here for a work lunch gathering and we made a reservation. After we ordered, it took a good 45 minutes for the food to come out. Most of what people ordered were salads, and sandwiches. I don’t understand how they can take so long. If I hadn’t starved sitting there, I probably would not have enjoyed my reuben sandwich as much. I also felt out of place there, in terms of age.

Nice atmosphere and location. Enjoyable food. Nothing too special. The menu was eclectic and vast. It’s a nice place to grab a weekend brunch.

We’ve visited Mimi’s many times in various states but this was by far the poorest experience we’ve had. We visited during non peak hours and they were not busy at all. The service however was so slow and empty water glasses sat throughout our entire meal. The food was served hot but the taste was mediocre at best. We will likely not be back to this location.

I’m being generous with my stars here. Service is terrible tonight! Our waiter forgot about us! We didn’t get any bread. Many in our party waited on refills on drinks that took 20 mins after we asked for them twice! One drink was NEVER refilled. Meanwhile we watched as our waiter was attentive to all the tables around us and passed our table without a wor! And when we confronted him, he didn’t even apologize, just gave us a lame excuse about ‘running around’ even though we saw him standing around in the kitchen on more than one occasion.

Service was very poor. Slow, forgot part of the order, and had to wait to get more drinks. Got stuck in the back room and it is freeeeeezzzzziiiinnnggg!!! Whole experience was crappy. Should have went to BJs, it’s so much better!

A cute place to dine in. Many complain about the wait time but I never had that sort of bad experience since I mostly went around afternoon tea time.
Be sure to do research on the food before ordering because a small portion is really good while most are controversial. I personally like the crepes a lot.

Came here for a breakfast meeting for work. Great venue to hold a meeting like this, or a brunch for a large group.
I ordered the eggs benedict and it was decent. Kind of like a fancier Denny’s.
It was really nothing too special.

I was so interested in checking this place out. The parking lot was always packed around it. They must have been going other places. The good, the food is edible. I should have left when it took 15 minutes for them to take my order. If it were busy that would be one thing but there were three waiters and five tables of people. I ordered the bacon apple waffles. Soggy and flavorless best describes this mess which is a feat in itself, I mean how can you not have flavor with bacon and apples?
I had to laugh when they brought the“fresh fruit”. It looked like they went to the bar and grabbed the garnishes, through them in a tiny cup with a few grapes.
Skip this place life is too short and there are so many other good places. And if you looking for a place like this Denny’s is just down the road, better food and their cheaper.

I’m giving them 3 stars as an average. One star for the food and 5 stars for the service. Alex, our waitress, was excellent with suggestions and serving the drinks, salads and dessert. My steak was ice cold. She immediately took it away to bring me another steak, but my wife was done eating before I got served. Alex did bring me a Carrot cake muffin to eat while I waited.
Alex does not deserve to be serving bad food.

First let me say if they had a more than five stars… I would give it to this place.
The manager that seated us had to deal with me being sort of hangry… lol
He was super nice even though we ended up asking to be moved to a more peaceful place after sitting in a very busy area that was really loud. Which is to be expected because they are busy and the food and service is more than five stars!
The wait staff named Pishia was awesome! She made sure to check on us many times even though she was super busy in the really busy part of the restaurant! She kept our drinks filled and even helped make reservations for Mother’s Day!
We started with the spinach artichoke dip. So creamy and the chips are freshly made!
The BF had the roasted chicken crepes with Salad and I chose had the Chicken Tillamook cheddar Mac. I can’t stress this enough. In the four times we have eaten here… nothing has been anything but anything but extraordinary! Nothing!
We finished with the Mimi’s bread pudding. It took all of five minutes before it was gone!
The atmosphere… The staff… The food… All comes together for a very enjoyable experience at the end of a super hard day! Thank you Mimi’s Café!

This was not a good meal… The calamari was rubbery, the pot pie was a flavorless, soupy mess with super thin crust that couldn’t be eaten and turned into slime once it hit the gravy. The fish and chips was like frozen van de kamps and the fries soggy. Best part of the meal was the bread basket.
I’m giving this 3 stars overall. 1 for the food but 5 for the service. Our waitress could tell I was disappointed with the pot pie and tried to take it off my bill — I wouldn’t let her as I’m sure it was prepared by their standards and I just didn’t like it. So she gave us 4 giant muffins to take home. Thanks nice lady!
I think the best thing this place has to offer is what comes out of their bakery so she saved the day with those muffins.
I might go back for bread.

We came for breakfast and ordered 2 entrees — Salmon Egg Benedict and French toast and waited for 1+ hour to be served and the food came barely warm :(during the wait we were offered coffee 3 times (I already drank 2 cups) and couldn’t drink anymore… With new cafes and restaurants opening near by, you would think they will be more attentive and try to keep customers happy… I get the feeling they don’t want people to come back… Restrooms also need much attention…

(3.5 stars) Came in around 10am on Friday and was seated pretty quickly. Service was friendly and attentive, I didn’t have a lot of issues with it like some reviewers had.
Overall it was a nice place for brunch. My mom and I ordered ham and cheese crêpe and I got the Santa Fe omelette. It wasn’t the best but it was bad. The muffins here are amazing though!

As a Unilocaler, I especially cannot stand dishonest business. We have come to Mimi’s for more than a dozen times, but the last time, we were mis-​charged with a 40% tip. This cannot be accidental but deliberate mis-​charging. Mimi’s management should look into the ethics of their cashiers and waiters. I do have to say this is the first time this happened, but still this should not have happened at all in a well-​established place.

We should rename Mimi’s to «Meh-Mehhhh’s» because of their consistently mediocre service. Whenever I come into contact with Mimi’s I feel like I’ve drunkenly hooked up with a gross ex and I can’t shower enough times to undo the damage afterward.
It’s true their food is pretty decent tasting, although I’m sure it’s terrible for you. Every time I eat there I feel disgusting afterward. Just to clarify, I’ve never done breakfast there, only lunch.
What really kills it for me, though, is that their service is no bueno. Once I ordered pick-​up catering from this place and they were super late. I was waiting around for a long time for the entrees to be ready, and then once they finally had them all packaged and ready to go I was informed that the dessert wasn’t even finished baking yet. So I had to pick up our food, then after much arm-​twisting I convinced them to bring the dessert to my work, which is literally across the parking lot.
It’s not that hard to plan ahead to make sure everything is ready, is it? Literally the two worst things you can do to an event planner are screwing up their schedule and screwing up their food, and Mimi’s managed to do both of those in one swoop. Soooo yeah, let’s just say I won’t ever willingly order from or eat there again.

The local Mimi’s Café.
Ordered the Bacon Avocado Burger. This is a solid burger for $ 12. Got it medium rare. Nice and juicy. The bread that they use is grilled in butter so it’s super crunchy but you’ll be wiping your hands down every bite. They are extremely generous with their fries. (See pictures)
We also ordered the roasted chicken special. It takes 15+ mins extra on top of how ever long it takes to make a regular grilled chicken. However the chicken was really good. Worth it.
Service was great. Our waitress did good job of supplying us with everything we needed: breadsticks & refills.
Located in the El Paso de Saratoga (the one with the AMC 14) there is a huge parking lot. Parking is a breeze.
A lot of older people visit this establishment. I would say the 70% of people in the place was above the age of 65+. The décor was cool. Had some interesting art on the wall.
Overall: will return

Service is wonderful! Eric and I shared the bacon avocado omelette and a stack on pancakes. They separated the omelette for us on 2 different plates, which was very nice. I loved this omelette. The pancakes were super fluffy and moist; possibly the best ones I’ve ever had.
They had been a tad late on our omelette (which we did not have a problem with, gave us more time to eat the pancakes haha) and when we got the check they gave us 2 free muffins! They have the best muffins ever, so it was really nice to see that they take good care of their customers!

Mimi always sends me emails of coupons for a BOGO entrée meal, so who can say no to cheap food? I always somehow rope someone into eating with me, and I try to get something different. Food is sometimes salty, but you definitely get your money’s worth of food. Usually there arent people around when i go, so service isnt too bad.
–Chicken Crepes: it comes with a small side salad, which is refreshing with the gravy that you pour on top on the crepes. The gravy is a bit salty, if you ask me, so try not to put so much. crepes are nice and filling with the chicken.
–Hot chocolate: i really like the huge cup they put it in, as well as the swirl of hot chocolate.
–Avocado Burger: they do not skimppp on the avocado as well as the meat and the sides (like tomatoes, onions, etc). Pretty big burger, i ate half and saved the rest. I like my fries kinda soggy, so the fries were good to me. You can always ask to get you crispier ones if you dont like them.
–Chicken club: crunchy lettuce and a nice amount of tomatoes and chicken. good but the bread wasnt to my liking. It was a little too hard for me.
–Alfredo: has peas and gives it a nice texture with the warm and yummmy noodles.
Willing to come again, but not too much! i think the servers are starting to remember me…
