Kumon Math and Reading Center of Santa Teresa

We have been sending our daughter here for almost two years for reading. It started to be okay and went downhill. The teachers are high school or college students who care less about the progress of my child. They basically watch you do the Kumon worksheet and correct them. There is no teaching. My child Just keep doing the worksheet and got not help. It is frustrating to send my kid here and make no progress. I am better off buying the Kumon workbook and teach myself. It took me two years to find out so save your money and try something better. The owner care less about the kids and yell at them at times. I would not send my kids here.

Our children have been taking the math program for the last couple of months. Within a week of starting the program, our 2^nd grader showed great improvement in his attitude toward school homework — he just gets it done without complaining (most of the time). Our 5^th grader had some self confidence issues in math which is why we enrolled in the first place — and his confidence is much better now.
Both kids still have a long way to go and we plan to stay with Kumon for a long while — but in this very short time, we have been pleased with the results. Mrs. Robertson, the owner, is very knowledgeable and good with the kids.
I would recommend this to any parent with a child who is struggling in math, needs enrichment, or just needs to become a self motivated student. Kumon is great for that. The kids like to beat their own time and get a better result than the last time.
