My kids like it here, my wife wants to like it, however the service here is ABSOLUTELYHORRIBLE!!! It’s not even that busy. Don’t waste your precious time or money.

The waitress was so sweet, and the food so good, I’m tempted to give five stars. However, they really need to touch up their paint here. It’s chipped and worn, making the place look dirty — never what you want in a restaurant. It’s already easy for a place to look dirty when it has white walls/doors. The egg salad sandwich is wonderful, as are the fries. I love the smiley face they do with the ketchup when they bring you your fries. The prices are high for the quantity of food, but the quality is high. Besides, this is where to eat after seeing a movie at this mall. I really appreciate Johnny for still being here, given that most others in the area have closed up shop. Just please touch up the paint.

I got a craving for this place when a friend posted a picture on facebook of the ketchup smiley face they make. I looked at the menu online and called in for take-out. There are no prices on the website menu but I thought people were being dramatic on here when they said it’s overpriced. I ordered a Smoke House Single burger with fries and asked over the phone if the strawberry shakes have chunks of strawberries in them. The guy said they can add them if I’d like, implying they’re smooth, and I said I prefer it without – that’s why I asked. I arrived to pick up my order and stood at the register totally unacknowledged by two cooks and a server for a few minutes. Only one table was occupied in the whole place. I haven’t worked food service but I have worked retail and I know it’s not difficult to say«I’ll be with you in a moment.» My meal came out to over $ 15. Ouch. I started in on a few fries on the drive home and the outsides were chewy, the insides mealy. Obviously they’d been sitting out for hours. I almost went back to ask for fresh ones but I didn’t feel like waiting. They tasted fine under some salt and ketchup. By the way, are they supposed to be unsalted? The burger was delicious. I asked for regular ranch on it rather than barbecue-ranch, which is an easy detail to mess up but they got it right :) Satisfied my meaty needs. The shake is obviously high quality but it DID have strawberry chunks in it. Most of my time drinking it was spent trying to figure out how to get around them. The burgers are good but people are right, it IS overpriced. I don’t dislike Johnny Rockets but I’ll probably stick with Jack in the Box for any future burger and shake cravings.

Well, I really liked the shake, not the burger. Fries was good, and the most amazing experience was the lovely and friendly stuff in here. I don’t recommend it here if you are alone. It is so fun for groups and gatherings.

After not having been to Ronnie Jockets in quite a while, it was nice to nom on burger, fries, and a shake. I got the Route 66, and the combo of swiss cheese, grilled mushrooms, and mayo was lovely. Props to them for their shakes too. Mocha fudge specialty shake is where it’s at, and they gave me like two and a half servings… was pretty full at the end: P However, around 1:30PM on a Sunday afternoon, the waiters didn’t come around very often, and we had to wait for a long time to order and for the check… also, this diner is on the expensive side for the amount of food they give.

I went to this JR’s before a movie with some friends. I didn’t choose. I didn’t care at the time. I care now. I don’t know why people go here. I think it’s quite bad. I’ve been to different JR’s a few times but each one has been disappointing. I got the grilled chicken salad. Barf-o-rooney. It wasn’t bad per se but it wasn’t good either. It’s like if you take the fixins of a burger throw them in a bowl, chop a chicken breast and douse it in ranch. Voila! Salad! Sidebar: This reminds me Chicken Voila! from the ‘90s which was a response to Chicken Tonight. Both are gross. Also, I hate it when people say«wahla!» instead of «voila». Voila is a proper French word that means«see there!» I know it has an accent grave but I’m too lazy to put it in. I got onion rings which were decent, but they’re frozen then deep fried. How hard can it be? It’s also pretty expensive. I don’t get it. I’d rather have fast food.

Came here because we received coupons in the mail. First time ever going and won’t be visiting again. The waitress was horrible and had an attitude. Our food took awhile and wasn’t even anything to brag about. The onion rings were OK. Should have at least tried a shake but didn’t, so I came out with nothing more than a bad review. Also this place is very overpriced… Wouldn’t ever recommend. There are so many good places in this area to eat, save yourself the trouble and don’t come here until they create higher standards.

Waitress and cook clothes and hats are filthy. Management needs to pay for cleaning and pressing service for their employees. Overall, place reasonably clean, but not great. Hot dogs appear to be microwaved. Hamburgers mediocre. Soda completely flat without carbonation.

Went to the«boring mall» as my girlfriend and I call it along with my sister, and we decided to stop by JR’s before doing a little shopping. We walked in and it’s just like most of the JR’s with the old school look, and the tunes going on. We sat ourselves and the server came out with menus and took our drink orders; Cherry Lemonade, Coke, and a Strawberry Shake. He came back without the shake and took our order. We ordered some chicken strips, the Houston burger, and another burger my girlfriend got but I can’t remember which. I had ordered my meal with chili cheese fries instead of regular fries. Our food came after about 10 minutes and still no shake. My chili cheese fries were also missing and I was served regular fries instead. I brought it up to our waiter and he said yeah I’ll bring some right out and he did, and the milk shake was«on it’s way out.» He came back with my fries, but still no shake. About halfway through our meal, the milkshake finally came out, and to be honest, it was hella good. My burger wasn’t anything special, and the serving was pretty small for the price IMO. After we finished up our waiter brought the bill and they had charged me for the side of chili cheese fries. I wasn’t too upset because they were really good, but I wasn’t too thrilled either. All in all, I can’t say the service was excellent, and my burger wasn’t super enjoyable, but the girls seemed to like their food.

Sometimes, you can’t face another meal of quinoa, beans and veggies, and you long for a meal of a fast food type burger and fries. I had longed for years to be able to eat at Johnny Rockets, but as I haven’t eaten meat in 21 years, I thought it was impossible. Imagine my shock and surprise when I learned that all Johnny Rockets locations feature a VEGAN burger!!! I carefully read Johnny Rockets website, which lists the ingredients for all of their items, a fact I greatly appreciated! Sure enough, they confirmed that their Streamliner burger is vegan… They were even kind enough to mention they cook the veggie burgers separately from the meat… And I couldn’t wait to get me hands on one! It did not disappoint! I went wild and had them add grilled mushrooms to the grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and pickles that come on it and it was truly awesome, and exactly what I needed to counteract those countless meals of greens and tofu! ;-) My husband isn’t vegan, but he got the vegan patty substituted into the Houston Burger… they will happily make any of their regular burgers with the Boca Burger instead… and he was very happy with it as well! So, I give 5 stars for my burger and for Johnny Rockets being friendly to vegetarians and vegans. I took a star away from this particular location because, as other people have said, the service wasn’t the best.

Unfortunately, like many of the other reviewers, my recent experience at Johnny Rockets was not great either. The service was mediocre and the food was mediocre. I was excited to try some chilli cheese fries, but the chilli was really way too salty. As for the kids meals that we ordered, the kids weren’t thrilled about them either(they were hot dogs and hamburgers). One thing they did get excited about was the happy face on the ketchup tray. Too bad it’s not going to be on my go to place anytime soon, because I can always use some chilli cheese fries to brighten up my day.

Cleanliness FAIL Fries FAIL Value FAIL It may be that our local franchise is poorly run, but I feel that Johnny Rockets has really gone downhill. They used to know how to use their fryer to get the best results with their fries, onion rings and chicken strips. Now those items are not only third rate, but also fairly expensive. I still love the décor, and the classic tunes, but they’re hardly worth $ 10 per plate of mediocrity. I hope they pull out of their quality slump before they lose too much business. This used to be a really feel-good place.

I don’t even know why I even bother to keep giving this place a chance. Met my family there last night for dinner and had to wait a very long time for service. Our waiter was running all around the restaurant and I give an extra star because he did put in an extra effort, but what were all the other employees doing just standing in the kitchen? I saw like 3 – 4 employees just standing back there doing nothing! I ordered the Route 66 with a turkey patty, I remember ordering it a long time ago and liking it, but not this time. The turkey patty tasted like breakfast sausage. Gross. Are the grilled onions just unfried onion rings? There were too many on the burger and they all just fell out the back. It also sucks that you fork out $ 8+ for a burger and it doesn’t even come with sides!(An extra $ 4+ for fries and a drink? Ridiculous!) If you’re in Westgate, go to Fresh Choice or the Sushi Boat instead.

My gosh!!! how is it possbile that this chain still is in business??? This place is so overpriced, and the service is so hostile. Man! Came by, thought it would be a nice sit down burger joint, but this place is really old, and expensives. The seats are ripped, the burger was loaded was mustard, I mean loaded, covered all over. It tasted like a mustard burger, with nothing else inside. Overall, I won’t come back, and wouldn’t be shocked if this place shuts down.

Synopsis: Employees ROCK! Food is O.K. Atmosphere needs brighteing and fixed up abit. This would normally be a 2. Meh, I’ve had better, except the service was excellent. I always order my youngest food to come first and then place the rest of my order. This usually annoys the servers. I did this an she was fine with it. My older daughter & I split our meals and she delivered our food already split onto 2 plates with out me even asking! The food was not as good as other Johnny Rockets I have gone to and the dingy feel of the place(could have been the dimmed lighting and run down juke boxes/upholstery, etc) was a negative. The plus is I paid entirely in quarters and no one complainted.

The burgers are yummy but it cost $ 8.00 with no fries or a drink. The other Johnny Rockets that I’ve been to are a lot more lively and fun.

This place is ridiculous. What burger joint runs out of beef patties? Really? REALLY? It seemed like they were out of everything. I almost stood up and walked the hell out of there, but I decided, «alright. Turkey patties. S’okay. I like turkey.» Turns out, I really don’t like turkey at Johnny Rocket’s. It was bland and unsatisfying, everything a burger should not be. Then, they forgot to give me a straw and a spoon for my shake. What, did they run out of those, too? I asked one of the waiters for a spoon, got a nod, and then I watched him clean THREE tables and completely ignore us. I had to flag down another waiter for a stupid spoon. Usually, I’ll shell out the money for JR’s overpriced burgers because they’re pretty good. But at this place? Almost makes me weep. Never coming to this JR again.

This place is as empty as the mall itself. We came here for dinner after going to Target, and I still regret going there(it’s been 3 weeks!). Came in and they told us to pick a seat. We were given a menu and a non-interested lady came to take our order. Everything was way over-priced and the quality of the food was def. not up to par. I really wished I stuck w/my gut instincts and went somewhere else instead. My brothers ordered the chicken strips kids meal and all you get is 3 – 4 tiny trips of chicken and a small handful of fries. Our double rocket burger was soggy and unappetizing. I will never go here again and if I had to pick anything off the menu, I’d get the water.

Banana milkshakes bring back good memories. My college roomie used to work at the Johnny Rocket’s downtown, so I know how it’s supposed to go. It’s a bit overpriced, but if the service is good and the food is tasty … I chalk that up to a decent Johnny Rocket’s. The service was pretty good … our waiter was polite, not overly friendly, but he was efficient. I almost over ordered, and he was able to take off some of the extra items after he had submitted the order. The chicken club I had was tasty, and the bread was toasted perfectly. The fries came with ketchup that was squeezed into a smiley face in the tray, as if to say«I’m trying to give you an experience here, so be happy» But the banana milkshake is what did it for me. Made with fresh banana chunks and vanilla ice cream, I was in heaven. It reminded me of when I was young and my dad would make us these shakes. Creamy, smooth, and made with real ice cream. No syrup here. Thanks Johnny Rocket’s, you’re not too shabby.
