Jan Skuba, Spa Therapist

I have been going to Jan Skuba for nearly 20 years, and this review is a longtime coming!
Jan provides the most relaxing facial I have ever had. Before I found Jan, I would never be able to relax because at some point parts of a facial treatment involve a «deep» cleansing that would always make me uncomfortable. Not with Jan. It is so easy to relax and enjoy your time that before you know it, your done, and sadly it is time to leave.
Jan is careful during the entire facial treatment, and the setting of her treatment room. with soft music and a welcoming atmosphere will put the most stressful person at ease, allowing for complete relaxation.

There is absolutely no one better! I think I’ve had every facial and body treatment and I keep coming back for more.
Jan is accomplished in some pretty cool treatments for face and body. She does some really interesting and effective treatments that I have never experienced at other spas, like a very emotionally freeing hot oil drizzle on my forehead, or 3^rd eye. It was so calming that my face actually looked like a happy bouncy teenager (and believe me, its been quite a long time since I’ve looked like that!)
She also does a face lift like thing using color, and elements of Chinese medicine. It works! I’M LIFTED! There’s another Ayurvedic Indian massage of the head that’s magic. For the feet there’s something that has me nearly pirouette-​ing down Lincoln.
Her space is really wonderful, its an oasis for me. Its upstairs, private, quiet and cute. And she’s nice as can be.

I’ve heard about Jan Skuba for years from my dear friend and Hair Dresser. By a stroke of luck I stumbled across her doorstep in need of some brow help. I had no idea what I was in store for. Her spa space at Alchemy Hair Studio & Spa is soothing, warm and dim. In this arena, she works her magic. The brows were amazing. I booked a facial and returned the next week.
It was an incredibly relaxing, rejuvenating experience, complete with massage touches that prompted me to book a healing massage session with her coming up. I completely trust this woman to my skincare and massage healing needs. A total pro with healing hands, great skills and amazing intuition.
