So. Much. Food. We got Combo #5& Combo #7 and split it between the three of us– could barely finish. Tastes like panda express, but of better quality. The fried prawns are pretty large. Definitely would recommend if you’re craving some(slightly Americanized) Chinese food!

Jade china is basically the best shitty, and unauthentic Chinese food in San Jose. They offer some of the tastiest, as Detective Carter from Rush Hour would say«Greasy Shit» for a low price. If you’re looking for real Chinese food, then look for a restaurant that states what region of China it’s from. Otherwise, make sure your bathroom is stocked with toilet paper, it’s going to be a long night. The place is small, and pretty damn dirty. Parking is annoying because it’s next to Safeway, but you can always park a little farther and walk. There’s a cranky homeless woman that yells at everybody on the corner of the strip every night. I recommend: Salt & Pepper Calamari — Crispy, sliced into rectangles, comes with jalapeño. Anything Sweet & Sour — It’s just plain good, you can taste the bargain heart-attack. Walnut Shrimp — I’m allergic to shrimp, and I’d eat this over the majority of the menu. The combo plates — Chow mein over fried rice any day. I don’t recommend: Fried Rice — Fried rice isn’t supposed to be clumpy and soggy. It’s supposed to be left out, and then fried. Beef & Broccoli — You can literally feel the cornstarch coating the food. TIPS: You can order online, chill for a bit, and then just pick up your food. Avoid the line!

My second order from this place was nowhere near as good as the first. Where they really tanked big time is on their lemon chicken, which was extremely dry and the coating did not stick. Mu Shu pork was still good and noodles were OK, but unlike my first order, they didn’t seem spiced quite so well as before. So I guess the place is hit-or-miss as far as food goes. I likely won’t be trying it a third time since I’ve moved away from the place and there are closer Chinese restaurants in my new area.

This is our go-to takeout place. My favorite is the salt & pepper calamari. It’s hard to find good calamari around here. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside — perfect texture every time. And the seasonings complement the main ingredient, not overpower it. The calamari actually tastes like calamari, not some over-seasoned, over-fried cardboard. My wife likes the kungpow shrimp. We’ve been getting takeouts here for years. And the quality has been consistently good.

This rating is for the best hot and sour soup ever! I’ve been going here for years since I live down the street. I absolutely love Chinese so I normally get takeouts once or twice a week. But every time I’d mostly come in for their soups. After a night of drinking, my hungover cure is their Hot and Sour soup. I’m pretty sure the usual workers know me by now seeing that every time I come in to pay, they’d be, «hot and sour soup?» YES, that’s how often I order it. I’ve tried many others, from WOK creek to China Chen. The only one to it’s comparison is #1 Chinese Kitchen if I’m ever in the South side. So-Cal take outs, IMO doesn’t even compare to here. Their other for is just meh. it’s alright. Bit on the greasy side. Thanks guys, for being down the street and helping me save gas. And thanks for curing my hangover with your delicious soup. I am forever grateful!

Not the BEST Chinese food I’ve had, but for the prices and the amount of food they give, I’ll have to bump it up another star. That, and it’s sure more authentic tasting and looking than Panda =P For 2 people, 3 dishes were way more than enough! I’m pretty sure we had enough left overs to last us the rest of the week… or at least another 3 days! This place had some really good combo and rice plates for under $ 10 but we decided to just order ala carte. –Beef Chow Fun –Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs –Sweet and Sour Pork –String Beans with Garlic Sauce Everything was a little on the bland side, but I’m guessing because this place doesn’t use MSG? The best were probably the green beans(I didn’t count this as a dish, it only came in a small take out carton hehe) But those green beans probably had the most flavor out of everything. If I needed a quick Chinese food fix, I’d come here since it’s so close to my house and like I said, you can’t beat the prices and quantities! This restaurant is definitely a Take Out place, there are only 4 tables to actually dine in, and it doesn’t seem to be a full service type Chinese restaurant. The place is super tiny! I’ll probably be back to try the Fried Rice and Mapo Tofu though!

I got pork fried rice, sweet and sour pork and beef broccoli for $ 6.25! Cheap chinese food and they are pretty generous with the portions.

Not too bad! The portions are huge, and they make your orders right on the spot. Highly recommend calling in advance to place your orders since it can take around 10 – 15 mins. for your order to be ready. I usually just order one of the pre-made combos since it’s simple and cheap! The fried rice is full of flavor. I recommend getting anything but the fried entrees since the batter is super thick and overwhelms the meat. Also, I ordered the honey walnut shrimp, and the batter was slightly undercooked on the inside. Will visit again. And brace yourself for a loaded, delicious and greasy meal!

This place has been my go-to lunch place for the past 9 months. Everything about what one would need from a take-out restaurant is here with extra elements that make it special. The lunch special that I order from here is the sweet and sour chicken with steamed rice which tastes amazing. While every lunch special is automatically served with a side of a fried egg roll, there’s an option to switch the friend egg roll to either 2 fried prawns or 2 fried chicken wings, which creates a sizable portion of food. You also have the option to upgrade the rice plate to an entrée with either fried rice or chicken chow mein. While the food itself is great, it’s also the people who work here and the people who come here that make Jade China really great too. Everyone shows that they care about you and your order because they remember and they will make sure what it is while they take it. I eat in at Jade China and the staff will come out to bring me my order with my drink to my table. Excellent spot. My go to.

Jade China has decent Chinese food, but it is definitely not the best I’ve had. I had a bad experience ordering food from here on Eat24. The pickup time was set to be for 5:30 pm, but when I got there my order wasn’t even started. The cashier told me to wait 5 minutes which turned into 30+ minutes out in the windy cold with disgusting flies on their sidewalk, dirty chairs inside their restaurant, and homeless people sitting outside asking for money. It was not the way I wanted to spend the beginning of my evening. I would think not twice but three times before coming back here again.

Salt and pepper wings!!! Omg I can’t say enough amazing things about them! Full of juice and flavor I’ll take these wings over any other any day! Call ahead! These guys have a wait time for a good reason! They are great on price and friendly staff! The staff may seem a tad rude for your first time but you come here a couple times you will see they are very nice just stressed from all the orders!!!

Soooo. I waited in a very long line and went here because everyone said it was so good. Plus who would wait in a long line for food they didn’t like. I got the #4 combo plate. Beef broccoli, bbq pork fried rice, chicken chow mein and an egg roll. The wait was long but it could have been because it was Super Bowl Sunday. I got my meal. I ate my egg roll which was delicious and the rest of the plate. Really kinda sucks :(the noodles are over cooked flavorless. The beef is slimy and weird. The rice isn’t even good. I’m so disappointed. Like I said earlier they were suuuuper busy so it could have been because they were swamped. Either way. I threw away most of it. I’m willing to try it again. Just disappointed. I bet their friend chicken wings are good tho. Good luck !!!

This is my go to quick bite for some Chinese food. Fast service and friendly customer service. My favorites are their honey walnut prawns and their orange chicken. After all the years of being in service I think they need a updated interior design, but this place is overall great.

For sure in my top 5 fave Chinese food spots! I just wish they had more combination plates ! UPDATE: My girlfriend and I went into Jade China like always and ordered our regular meals. We decided to get a side of fried prawns and to our surprise… WEFOUND A BUGINSIDETHEBAG. As I was taking a bite out of my prawn my gf noticed a black ball in our bag. When I looked inside the bag it was in fact a fried bug. We have seen pictures of jade China have bugs in their food… Never thought it would happen to us. NEVER going back

Always a great go-to when you’re craving Chinese food! It’s a tiny hole in the wall with great food selections and even better prices. There’s only 4 tables inside so i always order for take out. Portion sizes are HUGE no matter what you order. We usually opt for the 3 item combination plate($ 6.75). You can select any of the three items they have listed and bam — you get a great deal! I’ve also tried their Chinese chicken salad($ 6.25) and that’s super loaded too!!! Usually I think great deals and huge portions mean taste must be bland cos why would they give so much you know?! But nope! Everything tastes yummy. They make the food to order so you get your meals hot and fresh. I love Jade China so definitely a must if you want great Chinese food! Better than your typical Panda Express if you ask me!

Jade China pre-dates the dinosaur era. I’m sort of and kind of kidding. Maybe. Seriously, Jade China has been in what I call the«Walmart shopping center» forever. After trying it out a few times, I have to say that there’s probably a reason for that. Jade China is a better alternative to Panda Express, in my opinion. Firstly, it appears to be family-owned – well, at least not a huge corporation. It’s always nice to support local businesses, especially if they’re millions of years old(kidding, once again, although I probably don’t even need to clarify that). Secondly, the food itself is pretty cheap. I usually just get the three-item combo for a super low price of $ 6.25 plus tax. It really doesn’t get better than that, and the portions are ridiculously gigantic. You can definitely split it in two if you’re not SUPER hungry. Thirdly, the food is not bad at all! It’s pretty solid for take-out, and the litany of other items on the menu such as salt and pepper fish make things interesting. I personally found my broccoli beef to be a little too soft and saucy, but I thought the kung pao chicken was great(love eating those chili peppers in there) and the fried rice to be above average especially with the little cuts of what I believe were char siu. Parking is easy since it’s in a huge shopping center, and the décor is pretty cool with these oil-slick colored wall tiles and Chinese paintings and whatnot. Seriously, Jade China is living history. Be a part of it. Go.

As someone who usually loathes Chinese takeout, this place is the only exception! Though it may sound simply, their chicken chow mein is one of the best I’ve ever had and they give it in HUGE portions. One box took me and my mom nearly three days to finish: huge slice of meat and noodles! I love to eat it with their chili sauce. Another favorite of mine are their crab rangoons, so yummy and creamy! I don’t even think the sweet and sour sauce that comes with it does it justice, I again prefer it with the spicy chili sauce. Love this place for takeout and it gets PACKED!

I stopped in to pick up dinner last night and it was a packed house. There was a good sized line and I’m not surprised because the food is great here. I had to pick up dinner for my family and they wanted Chinese food. This place is within driving distance from my house and has a pretty big shared parking lot with Safeway. We ordered fried rice, mixed veggies with tofu, Chinese Chicken Salad, chow mein, and egg rolls. All the food was delicious. We will be back for more.

I was about to pass out from starvation on my way to Penitencia Creek Park & Trail when, lo and behold, I found this place. Whew!!! I’m glad I could fuel up before I chased ducks with my one year old. I was ecstatic to see their 3-item combo for $ 5.75!!! What a fantastic deal! I ordered fried rice, chow mein, and sweet and sour pork. This place only has four tables so I decided it would be more fun to take the food to go and have a picnic at the park. For $ 5.75 the food was great so I returned for a second visit, just to make sure. Maybe my judgement was clouded due to extreme hunger, anything and everything could’ve been tasty. I ordered the 4 item combo for $ 6.25 — fried rice, chow mein, sweet & sour pork,(yes…again!) and 2 pieces of fried chicken. The pork was deliciously sweet and the fried chicken was great. I ate the two pieces so fast, they were gone in two seconds. The chow mein and rice were disappointingly bland but I ate most of it. Overall, the quality of the food is worth about 3.258 stars, but for the price and the excellent service I will gladly bump it up to 4 Stars!
