I regret the day I decided to allow this place to do my taxes. I have been audited twice for mistakes made by Jose Rios on my taxes 2010 and 2011 taxes. When the first audit letter was received for under reported income, he claimed I did not give him the paperwork needed for him to file. FALSE. It was given to him and he failed to report it. On the amended tax return, he over stated my income and I had to pay over 4k in fees and penalties, and he refused to pay the penalties for his mistakes. Additionally, I’m now getting audited from the state for an additional 1,900. Upon review by my new CPA, she found that due to Jose’s mistake, I overpaid federal taxes by 2,900 not to mention the stress and fees I’m now paying to have this issue resolved. What’s even worse is that I cannot recover the money I overpaid because it’s past the statute of limitations to file.
This has been a nightmare for me.
