Got the chicken wraps combo. Only 10% chicken. Plus tons of iceberg lettuce wrapped in a tortilla. The onion rings that came with it were 50% grease. Have I had worse? Yes. But still never going back.

Horrible. Came here with Groupon, got $ 20 worth of food and I had to throw most of it away. This is not real Japanese food, so don’t expect it to be even close to it. The chicken was so salty, the tempura has no taste. The salmon teriyaki was so hard and dry. I just couldn’t think of anything else worse than what they have served me. You have been warned! Service was super nice tho, the Asian lady was very polite. So extra +1 star.

You can’t walk in here expecting authentic Japanese food. Why? Because that is NOT what this fast food restaurant was ever trying to achieve! You will get Asian style meals with their own twist on Teriyaki flavors. I’ve been to this particular location quite a few times, and I have to admit that the food isn’t always perfect. However, more often than not, they are able to deliver a meal that is worth every penny! If you look at their prices, everything is priced under $ 10!!! I typically get #4, which is their Teriyaki Trio(One piece of Beef, Pork, & Chicken Teriyaki). Tonight the Beef & Pork were a little on the dry side. However the Chicken Teriyaki was on point! SUPER juicy, and cooked to perfection!!! If you order their Beef Rice, keep in mind that it is beef flavored rice and NOT brown rice. Take note: They do serve brown rice, but when I had it, it was pretty bland and extremely dry. Overall these folks get it DONE! If you are in a pinch, and you want some good Chicken Teriyaki, here you go!!! You can’t go wrong with #3 @ $ 7.99. That is 2 pieces of chicken, rice, Asian Chicken Salad, and a tempura battered onion ring, yam, and zucchini! They are friendly behind the counter, and service is fast and efficient! I typically order take out, but it is always clean & tidy inside!

Chicken teriyaki, potato smiles, with brown rice is what i’ve been getting every time since I was a kid. It’s a semi fast food kind of restaurant but it doesn’t make me bloated or gross after. Fast, tasty, and affordable!

So I asked for a plate so I can eat some pizza my friends bought me and the cashier said to get out of his face because he had to take care of his customers and I completely understand he said that I was making noise when I was just standing there so I did and when my friends when to get one he gave it to them I’m like what the hell

I was looking for a Chinese restaurant around the area but I wasn’t able to find it. As I was driving around, I stumbled upon this place. I was reluctant to go in at first because of the name. It just sounded weird to me. ATMOSPHERE: The whole restaurant was clean and organized. When I visited, there wasn’t a lot of people. I would say it was just me and another patron so there was little to no wait time. There was a lot of places to sit and I decided to sit next to the counter so I could get my food right away. FOOD: The food was amazing! I ordered the chicken katsu, deep fried tempura string beans, and fried rice. Chicken katsu: 5⁄5 — Whenever a restaurant offers chicken kasu, I get it because I just love the crunchiness from every bite. However, with this particular chicken katsu, it was easy to eat the chicken because i didn’t have to fight the bite. It instantly came off and was easy to chew! Deep fried tempura string beans: 5⁄5 — These are amazing! I highly recommend these! Fried rice: 5⁄5 — Their friend rice was great also! It’s not like those other restaurants where it seemed like they just microwave their rice. CUSTOMERSERVICE: It was my first time there so I asked the lady what I should get and she was very honest with her opinion because she said all of it is good. Eventually we narrowed it down and I decided to get the chicken katsu. She was very helpful and very friendly. Would I come back here? YAAAS! Would I recommend this to a friend? YAAAS! I definitely want to try more of their dishes.

Let me start off by saying that the customer service in this specific location is magnificent, there is plenty of space to eat, inside and outside. It’s a good place for a family meal. I went with my mom and we ordered a number 10, and a number 5, and they were both really good, aside from the meat that was a little bland. All in all, it’s a nice place, good food.

2nd time here in many years. I got the chicken Katsuya for 7.99 and the gf got the udon bowl for 5.29… the serving portions for the prices are good, it filled me up but did not buldge the stomach. The C.K. cam with 3 pieces of chicken, brown rice(upon choice between regular, brown, n beef,) and 4 pieces of tempura. 2 were onions, 1 was tam, and idk what the other was. The udon bowl came with a mixture of beef, teriyaki chicken, and pork in miso soup that the gf liked. Cool sevice, thanks for the good food chef’s

Good when you’re hungry and in a hurry. Be sure to check the SJ Mercury for a coupon. The staff is always polite and the service is good. The food is good, nothing fancy but it sure hits the spot when you are hungry and or in a hurry. If you order the meal most come wig a salad and tempura vegetables. I love meat so I get either he pork or beef meal which also includes your choice of steamed white, brown, dried or beef ride.

Happi has always been a favorite of mine. Now it’s my kids. Their salad and brown(beef) rice is the a must have when we come here. My kids love the udon. They now added seaweed. Even though I love seaweed the soup is better without it. The 4 star is because I don’t understand why the bathroom is outside and it’s creepy at night to go to the bathroom. Other than that I’ll eat at Happi house anytime.

Have been coming here for years! Love this place. Always have and always will! The food hasn’t changed in the 20 years I’ve been coming here… in a good way! Of course they’ve expanded their menu but everything is amazing. You could really never get sick of this place because you could always order something new and different. They are always efficient and friendly.

This place has totally taken a step back. There are still some decent dishes here but prices have increased and quality seems to have taken a step back. Could be just a bad cook day. Nothing seemed very fresh. The salad was still decent but I’d rather go to jade China for salad which is not much further away. I will definitely think twice before I head here again.

I come here often like once a week. Obviously i like the food. But the philipino lady that works the counter in the morning shift has no customer service skills at all.

This location made me feel better about the trademark… food is ok. cant say much since i only order one thing from their menu. not much love for their other items. the chicken rice bowl is mostly rice… some chicken bits and some veggies… overall im not impressed. would rather spend the same amount of cash at the chinese restaurant nearby…

Typical fast food place. Only difference is this serves katsu chicken and grilled chicken. Can’t find any hamburgers here! I like the potato happi face because it’s fried potatoes! So basically just your regular French fries. Not a great place to sit and chat with friends. I wouldn’t come here for anything else other than French fries!

3 stars is perfect for this place. It reminds me a lot of the Hawaiian BBQ fast food places that litter the Bay Area, but just barely not as good. It’s not bad for what you’re paying, but it’s a Japanese fast food place, so that already sounds fishy. I was starving when I tried this place and the fact that I’m giving it 3 stars when I was starving is a testament on itself. Normally I’m so hungry that everything is good. Nothing too special, but if you’re in a hurry and craving something semi Japanese then gives this place as hot. You have been warned though.

I grew up eating at this location and we all know, there is nothing better than a chicken salad from Happi House. For real, its the best salad and there is nothing that can live up to it for me. The tempura is also fabulous. And their sauce, ugh, its so bomb! I haven’t had Happi House in about 7 years, but I crave it ALL the time. I’m craving it right now! Its cheap fast food and its good, so don’t listen to the bad reviews.
