Ha Alteration & Cleaners

Avoid… pricing is bit squirrelly. Same shirt and pants… different on different day, given a different price. What the heck. Their dry cleaning facilities is based in SF. Thus pricing fluctuates.

This place is fine, cheaper than the other cleaners/​alterations in the area. Very iffy on same-​day or next-​day service, which for me is tricky because I often find that I need things altered at the last minute. The owner does not speak English, as other commenters have noted. This normally does not bother me, however it does pose an issue when you are trying to get something specific altered and she does not understand what you are asking for.

TERRIBLE. Way overpriced, for a job they didn’t even complete. We dropped off a suit (pants, jacket, shirt) and two pairs of pants to get the zipper fixed… Picked it up today and she only fixed ONE but still charged for two. Didn’t know until we handed over the money. Don’t waste your time here. Plus the language barrier made trying to make any points agonizing. Wasted $ 25 and still have to go fix the zipper myself. Can’t believe I even considered this place.

Did not have the greatest experience here.
Went because they seemed to have good prices and good reviews. Got in there and was greeted. I had a suit, a white button up shirt, and two other pants that needed the zippers worked on. The price sheet there says (suit — –3.50). When I think of a suit, I think of a jacket, AND pants. She says the suit will be 7.25. I tried to question it, and she just claimed she couldn’t speak english very well. I pointed at the sheet with the 3.50 price, and she literally, CROSSED IT OUT IN FRONT OF ME! Ughhhh whatever, I just needed to get the suit dry cleaned ASAP. Everything came out to 22 dollars, because of the two pants that needed new zippers. Seemed a bit steep. She says it will be ready in two days, and she will call. Three days later, no call. I call in, and theres no answer. So I go down there and my stuff is ready… well when I say «ready», one of the pants didn’t have a fixed zipper, and my suit shirt was wrinkled. Crappy experience. There are lots of places to take dry cleaning to. I recommend going somewhere else.

This place is fantastic for cheap dry cleaning.
Two details take it down from 5 stars – one is that I’ve come by to pick up my stuff during regular business hours and found the place closed, with no explanation.
The second is that the woman who works here really doesn’t speak English, so if you have any special questions, or need anything specific, she may not be able to help you.
Despite this, as long as I’m not crunched for time or needing something special, this is my go-​to place.

Don’t let this place fool you! It may look run down, but the owner is great at altering and dry cleaning clothes at a reasonable price. I work across the street and almost come here on a bi weekly or tri weekly basis. The Asian woman who works here alters my clothes in a way that seems like the clothes were designed for me personally. I’ve lost a lot of weight in the past year and was able to salvage my clothes because of her. One time I bought a sized medium jacket and size large dress (I did this because it was really cheap) and she made them fitted. I went to Aborn Cleaners near my house and the guy told me he couldn’t do it. Because I’m a regular, my clothes are usually ready for pick up before I even walk through the door. All I have to do is just pay and leave. Note that this place only takes cash. If you are not satisfied, this place does re-​dos for free.

I really love this place. It is really small, wedged between a salon and vietnamese restaurant, and pretty much only has one employee (who I am assuming is the owner) but I’m definitely impressed.
The prices are reasonable, the service is friendly and quick, and the woman will also often do small stitch and repair jobs for free since I come so often. Also it doesn’t hurt that its a short walking distance from my work and my apartment…
