Really easy when you have kids. Check in online and walk in! I didn’t love the back of my kids hair and the lady didn’t charge me for it. She wouldn’t even take my tip. She was so nice. Customer Service like this is hard to come by!

In the summer of 2015, I got the worst possible haircut imaginable at this establishment. This place should be renamed Bad Clips. Even though the man who cut my hair had a certificate, he clearly didn’t know what he was doing and should be fired forever. I asked for a fine, simple, easy 2 inch trim but instead I received a lop sided hair chop manifestation — I got 5 inches cut off on one side and 7 inches cut off on the other. I trusted this employee with my beloved hair and he MURDEREDIT! I love my beauty, long and lush wavy curls and he RUINEDIT! My trust for this place, which I had used a fewer times before, vanished and I cried for weeks! WEEKS! I will never recommend this store to anyone ever and I now instead go to an actual professional place.

Both boys had horrible haircuts. My youngest looks like he had a bowl put on his head and the guy cut around it. He was laughed at for weeks. It’s finally growing out a bit. His bangs are completely crooked. So disappointed. Never coming back here again.

I had a coupon & was pressed for time so I decided to give them a try. michelle is the lady that gave me a haircut I specifically asked for a fade with a 1, on the sides & just trim the the ends on the top since I’m growing out my hair. she gave me what I wanted but not as clean or to what I wanted. i couldn’t really tell until I got home and styled it that it wasn’t going to work. i went back to her she did it right the 2nd time. i gave her 3 stars for being nice n good service n fixing it. i don’t know how long she has cut hair with some of the questions she asked me that I find should be common sense to a hairstylist/barber or the problems she had cutting it for example she asked if I wanted the cleaned? Of course I do it’s a fade nice clean & tight. i won’t be going back to great clips I will stick with the person I have, this was just a backup if I need a quick hair is difficult to cut so I give her slack I’m not mad but I just expected more. the art of cutting hair well is lost if you find someone good stick with them.

I taken my boys to this great clips since it opened. This is the first bad experience that I have and I am so very unhappy. They have notes on how to cut my son’s hair. Even explained it and said just like my other one that is currently being cut. She started and a few minutes later I said you are going too short. Didn’t seem to get it. Liz was even asking the lady next to her how to cut his hair. I should have stopped it at this point to let someone else finish it. He now has a military haircut when I said short on sides longer on top with some spike in front. He has a calic that she ignored too. Everyone there has seemed to know how to deal with. He has school pictures in two days and I’m furious. I said I was too and I couldn’t believe I wasn’t even offered a discount. Not even a genuine apology. I had to ask for a coupon that I *may* get next time. I will stay away from using Elizabeth in the future.

the world according to noelle, 2013 — — — — — — — – the quick details — — — — — — — – parking: parking lot price: good customer service: standard restrooms: yes family friendly: yes noelle’s favorites: to be determined — — — — — — — – my experience — — — — — — — – Life has been crazy busy as of late. Being weeks away from giving birth I realized that I was in dire need of a trim. I turned to Unilocal in search of a hair salon and found Great Clips. This particular location of Great Clips is located in the same shopping center as my favorite grocery store Zannotto’s of Willow Glen, Starbucks and CVS. Parking near Great Clips is limited– especially on the weekend. Came to Great Clips this past weekend. Upon entering I was greeted and they took my name and information. Other people filtered in and at one point they called a few people out of order and I was almost passed up until another hair stylist spoke up when her fellow employee called clients out of order. My hair at the time was three inches past my shoulder. The hair stylists cut one inch off the bottom and trimmed my layers. She did a good job despite the fact she was fast with the scissors which made me nervous at first but the end result was good. $ 15 for a haircut $ 5.00 for tip Didn’t care for the fact that I had bits cut hair all over me after my appointment. I noticed that most of the hair stylists are rushing like mad to move clients in and out of chairs. I feel fortunate that my trim turned out nice despite the fact my hair stylist sped through my haircut. Great Clips is clean, customer service is decent but I wouldn’t go back because I didn’t like how fast they moved clients in and out of the chairs which in the end could compromise a good quality hair cut.

I’m the kind of person who pays $ 80 for a haircut. However, I found myself strapped for cash and in desperate need of a trim/shorter summer cut, and the $ 15 at Great Clips was too good to say no to. The lady was very kind; she looked at my pictures and snipped away. She stopped frequently(but not so frequently she seemed insecure) to ask my opinion, and after she thinned my hair, she had me run my hands through it to make sure she had gotten it to my satisfaction. I had her take 6 — 8 inches off my hair(it was past mid-back, now it’s about to my collarbone), and it’s a good cut. Nothing fancy, no razors, just a simple straight cut with bangs. Very satisfactory. Last time I went to a Great Clips, I ended up with one side of my hair about 2 inches longer than the other, so this is an improvement. When I get money again, I’ll go back to being an $ 80 haircut person. I’ll go back to my regular stylist and have her razor my short cut until it’s a cute, edgy bob. My regular stylist is an artist; the people at Great Clips are not. Until I go back, though, my hair looks very cute. No one is going to gape and say«OHMYGOD where did you get that haircut!?», but it’s neat and even and she got all the dead ends and junk out of my hair. Would definitely come back if I ever need a trim & I’m short on cash.

I went to the Great Clips in Fremont for years and occasionally still go there after I get off BART or visit family in Newark. It’s always been a comfy spot for me since everybody knows what I want and knows me by name. Basically the Fremont spot was my haircut version of Cheers except maybe with a much thicker Vietnamese accent. After more than a year of living in San Jose, I decided it was high time I found a local cheapie place to get my hair cut. The routine here is exactly the same as the Fremont location; upon your first visit they take down all the specifics of your preferred hair style and attach the details to your phone number. Once you’re in the system, they know exactly what you want as soon as you step up to the register. I might not get the same enthusiastic greeting at this location, but the haircuts have been solid. My hair grows fast and my hair needs are simple, so this place gets the job done.

Unless the operator cutting your hair learned her craft in Zambia, these gals all go to the same beauty schools and learn the same techniques. The competition presents itself in how well they handle customer service. These folks get a «zero» from me. i arrived 15 minutes before opening time. I stood in front of the door, paced back and forth and could see someone inside. When the clock started to go beyond the opening time I knocked on the door asking if they were going to open. The woman just kept pointing to the register. How am I supposed to know what that means? She never came to the door to explain what was happening or whether they were going to open or asked if i would like to come in and wait. This happened on my previous visit two months ago. Arrived 15 minutes before opening, waited and waited then finally knocked on the door. The woman came to the door and said«It’s been open. You could have come in». Well, gee. Thanks for letting me know. You’ve seen me standing here for at least 20 minutes. I took my business on down the road and got a perfectly good cut for the same price. I will never go back to Great Clips.

A convenient place to get the kids’ haircuts. The place is big and spacious and clean. The people who work there are nice and give good haircuts. The price could be a bit cheaper for the kids, but when they have haircut specials, it’s totally worth it.

I have been coming to this great clips for about 2 years now and every time I get a great cut by the girls that work here. Just got my hair cut today by Gem and she did a great job, spent the extra time in making sure my hair was perfect. If you want a quality haircut for a great price and want a pleasant atmosphere I recommend this Great Clips!
