Gorgeous

I’ve been going to Gorgeous for two years and I love it! I always see Tina and she is super talented and very sweet. I’ve been experimenting with different colors and super short and she is always up for the challenge and experimenting with me. The thing I appreciate most is she always takes the time to give me exactly what I want and works with me until I am completely happy with my new look. She also cuts my 2 year old baby daughter’s hair which is no easy task! 5 stars!

The women at this salon are truly amazing and talented. sue does my hair all the time and makes me feel like a million dollars. The shop is clean and the make up and lipstick selections r fantastic. The ladies are very personable and are extremely good at taking a vision you have even if u have trouble explaining it and making it a reality. It’s like they know what I’m thinking when I try to explain a new style but have trouble envisioning it. Then poof your hair is perfect and exactly how I explained! Everyone should go here. I highly recommend it

BUTCHERED! I should have known this isn’t a good place from the start. I called to see if I could get in for a trim, they said they’d take me right away if I was there soon. I ran out of the house and was there in 5 minutes. Tell me why I still waited 20 minutes?! Then a girl Alexandria gives me the worst, lopsided, uneven trim of my life! I did tell her I wanted to keep my length and not too straight in the back, she took about 3 ½ inches off and the back is hardly straight (uneven) but is not at all how I wanted it. Instead of me leaving the salon feeling like I am supposed to feel. I feel like a 9 year old girl who cut her own hair and now I’m forced to wear it in a bun till it grows out. Step it up dumbasses, worst salon I’ve ever been to.

I love this hair salon and have followed Tracy to this new location which is a great one! The salon is new, lovely and low key, but they do a great job! Tracy is the best! She is friendly, professional and very accommodating and the price is great for what they do! I come in looking terrible and I leave looking terrific! All the hair dressers are friendly and nice. I highly recommend it. The parking is easy and very plentiful. Also there is great shopping nearby including Santana Row, Valley Fair and many coffee shops! Best of all is their greeting when you call the salon — what could beat «Hi Gorgeous!??»

I have followed this salon from the time they were still on Saratoga Ave to their new location. I haven’t gone recently because I moved and wished I could get there more. Down to earth salon and not pretentious like the upscale salons on Santana Row. Super friendly and just an easy place to be. Marcela is fun and outgoing. I always have the best conversations since she’s just as blunt as I am. Pricing is excellent if you’re sick of paying hundreds at other snobby places.

It’s so hard to find a great hair dresser these days that really understand your needs. After much search, I finally found her! Pat at Gorgeous is the one! She knows exactly what I want and transforms my hair to more than what I ever expect. She is a true colorist and artist, in that she knows what different combination of colors to use for the exact color I want. I also have really long hair and Pat manages to cuts my hair with such perfection that it stays nice an full! I also consider her my glam squad… she can do hair, make-​up, can even give me great fashion advice. When I have a special occasion to go to, she makes me look fabulous! If your searching for a great hair dresser, Pat is your answer. You will never have to look again.

Marcella is an amazing stylist! I have been going to her for 7 years now. My husband now goes to her too! She always knows what to do with my curly-​wavy-​thick hair. She cuts it in a way that I can wash and go out the door as I dont have time to blow dry these days! She is really good at listening to what I want and takes time to do an excellent cut!

This is where I have been getting my haircuts for over 15 years. From their old location at the former Town and Country, to their address on Saratoga Avenue now to their brand new location on Winchester Blvd.

My hair grows out fairly quickly and it’s usually a cut once a month deal.
Sue has always been very accomodating when I have had to cancel and
reschedule at the last moment. She does a great job everytime.
I have also had my hair cut from the rest of the stylists there, Patty, Marcella and Tracey with stellar results. Through the years, I have seen a lot of the same people in the shop guys and especially with the ladies.
A very positive environment and at the new location, there is plenty of parking which sometimes was a problem at the old Saratoga shop.

This was the first salon I went to after moving out here from Ohio. I found it on the Aveda website.
I needed a cut and blonde highlight. I know Aveda’s philosophy is against bleach, but I warned my stylist (who no longer works at this location) that my brown roots would not lighten enough without it. She chose against it, and my hair came out extrememly brassy, as the new highlights did not blend with the old. I decided to go home and give it some time, to see if the color was better than original thought. After a few days, I had to go back and get it touched up. It looked better after the second visit, but still not what I expected.
I don’t think I’m asking for anything unreasonable here. The prices are low, but my stylist was seriously inept. Perhaps a different stylist here would do a better job? I would consider giving someone else a try.

Does Aveda have any standards for who gets to call themselves an «Aveda concept salon»? If you visit Gorgeous, you will think they don’t. I remember when you could pretty much trust that a salon was going to be nice if it was affiliated with Aveda. Those days are over. I needed a trim and was having difficulty finding a time that was good for me and my regular stylist just before Christmas (my mistake — I should have booked something for the holidays back in October), so I checked out Aveda’s website for a location near me. Gorgeous was the closest, so I called them. They got me in the next morning — a Saturday — that should have been a warning to me, but it was the holidays and I was not very organized this year, so I wasn’t thinking.
The place is in a crappy, run-​down little strip mall on Saratoga Ave. and I shouldn’t have even pulled into the parking lot, but I really needed that trim. The place was old school beauty shop on the inside. The changing room was some kind of treatment room that looked like it hadn’t been used in a long time. The stylist was young and not particularly talented. Overall, it was the atmosphere that sucked the most. It was not relaxed, not stylish, the makeup display was not stocked and just looked old and I think the customer next to me was getting a set. I haven’t been to a beauty shop like this since I was 10 years old when my Mom took my sisters and I down to our neighbor’s Aunt Flossie’s shop, to get «Dorothy Hamill» cuts. I think the customer next to me at that shop was also getting a set.

This is an Aveda salon. I have been going to Jennifer for about a year and a half, two years now, and obviously I am happy as I keep going back. I always walk out feeling like a million bucks. It’s a smaller salon, very relaxed, definitely not snobby.
My niece always goes to Sue, and her hair is always fantastic.
