We chose to use GL Perry for our remodel after my parents used them for their own remodel. Bottom line, it was a great decision.
GL Perry was highly recommended by several friends who had used them for both big and small jobs over the years and after working with them I can see why. The team and crew were very professional and knowledgeable. Their bids are exceptionally detailed and they were very good at communicating timelines and issues.
One of the things that stands out for me about GL Perry is how well they communicate. One of the biggest problems I’ve had with other contractors we’ve worked with is their inability to communicate — and it would always cost us. GL Perry didn’t suffer the same shortcomings.
For example, when walking through our house to initially plan out the work and draft a bid, they spent the time to ask questions and, when we weren’t sure, take the time to explain the differences between options not only in terms of price but also time and quality. Additionally, when issues arose or a change was needed, they were quick to get us on the phone and talk it through before moving on. It seems simple but their ability to communicate with us was so critical to getting the job done both on time and right.
One of the other important reasons why working with GL Perry was so enjoyable was that they’re ready to make it right if things didn’t go right. As another example, there were a few light boxes that were off alignment. When I noticed it, right away they were all over it and got the electrician out the next day to rectify it on their dime. There was no argument or hesitation.
Reflecting back on the whole experience, I will say that they were neither the highest or lowest bid; however, their crew of contractors and team of subs were very excellent, they were flexible enough to work with our plan and schedule, they were incredibly professional, and their craftsmanship is top notch. GL Perry is worth every penny and I would use them again.

We engaged GL Perry for an extensive addition to our home. The process and results exceeded our expectations. Not only did Jerry and his team make it happen on-​time but also on-​budget. The building execution and carpentry work were excellent. Communication was clear, frequent, and honest. I would highly recommend that you work with GL Perry on your housing project.

We used GL Perry to remodel a studio cottage and they were very reliable, polite and trustworthy. They were on time, followed up on questions, were reachable if we had questions, did good work and did a good job of cleaning up after themselves every day. Contractors can be a bit of a crapshoot as was the case with the last group we used, but we’ve used them for other work as well and they continue to deliver great service.
Definitely recommend them to other folks looking to get work done.

GL Perry framed a new two-​story home with basement in Sunnyvale for us starting late last year and finished in January of 2012. These folks are reliable, timely, good communicators, and do excellent work. We’ve got no complaints and want to give them a strong recommendation.
