First Mart

North San Jose does not seem to have much going on. Downtown San Jose, on the other hand, is awesome. Since our hotel was in the North section of things, and we have a suite (meaning a full-​size fridge), we decided we needed to stock that baby up with some goods!
The light rail took us right here. Same sort of layout as your typical 7 – 11. Walls of fridges stocked with water, beer, soda, energy drinks, etc. Shelves full of unhealthy snacks… Okay, and some protein bars. The prices are average and what was to be expected. We were able to get quite a few things for just under $ 40.
The employees are a little… Distant. The cashier didn’t understand the type of bag we wanted (even though she was the one who gave us our two options). Also the store is cramped since it’s shoved into a strip mall so trying to navigate the aisles can be difficult if you’re holding many items.

They literally always have what I need when it comes to the small stuff.
Staff is pleasant and friendly.
Don’t forget to check out the their shout out board for the local trouble makers. It’s great to see local support for the community. Pictures included !

Pretty convenient store to go to if you’re in a hurry. They’re well-​stocked and efficient. It’s in a great location close to work and near Levi’s Stadium. Nothing bad to say, can always find a cold one here.

I love this mart since it’s in between my office and the freeway. Pure convenience. It’s well stocked, always clean, tons of variety on snacks, drinks, booze, etc. The only thing I don’t like is that you must buy scratchers with cash. Who carries cash???

But, I still love them and they’re probably doing me a favor by not letting me get scratchers anytime I want. Five stars.

The selection is decent, but the drinks in the coolers aren’t ever very cold.
Unfortunately, the service isn’t good here either. I don’t expect the guy to kiss my a** because I shop at his mini mart, but a hello, and thank you would be appreciated considering I’m purchasing items there.

Not nearly as divey as you’d think from the outside. Very large selection of both grocery items and liquor. Got some weird drinks like Sun Drop Soda (
) which I’d never seen before. Cahsier was pretty efficient and not surly. A convenience store oasis in this dead zone of tech industrial…
