He usually does lots of research before committing himself to buying, if he used Harry’s service twice, he must be Good, so I decided to go forward. I’m surprised by the 1-star reviews as well. We worked directly with Harry Firestone last year on a refinance for my mom that literally no other broker we spoke with could/would do because of the type of power of attorney we had for my very ill father. Harry was extremely professional as well as sympathetic to our out-of-the ordinary situation. He worked closely with the lender to make the refinance happen and if it weren’t for him I’m not sure what we would have done. I just emailed him this morning to start the refinance process for myself.

This company should actually have a 0 star rating. I had the same experience as R.W., who also gave them a 1 star rating. I started out with Rob Clark who lead me on for 3 months before I found out that he had done nothing on my loan. I then called Harry Firestone who told me that Rob was going to be fired, but that the company would make sure that I got the loan at the rate I was promised. By this time the rates had gone up and I had no other options. After another 3 months of calls and emails I did what I’m sure Mr. Firestone wanted… I gave up. Their customer service is horrendous! I have two children in college and this rate reduction would have really helped us out.

Very unprofessional service by the loan consultant, no follow through, lack of communication, and untruthful presentation of facts. Do not waste your time with this firm. We got the mortgage loan that they advertised, but they weren’t going to make enough commission from the loan. So rather than communicating with us on the situation and working with us on a different loan, they just stopped communicating. The loan consultant, Rob Clark, never opened escrow, stopped returning our calls and dropped off the planet, and we were left hanging for weeks after the loan was approved! When we finally reached Clark, he told us that rates have dropped and that he was actually working to get us a better deal. That was lie because it was a year ago and we’ve heard nothing from him since. What kind of business leaves the clients hanging like that? Please don’t waste your time with Firestone, or Rob Clark. .
