I got a groupon for extensions and I was not let down by Trina’s excellent care. I came in with a longish pixie cut and I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to get extensions because of the length of my hair. Trina assured me that it could be done! And voila! I have past-​shoulder length extensions and they look gorgeous!
Trina was so friendly and answered all of my many questions about getting extensions, maintaining them, and ensuring that everything goes smoothly while styling them. She is wonderfully pleasant, and her little salon is so cute! It’s a little bit hard to find if you do not know the area well, it’s tucked away in a little part of the Cambrian Plaza, but once you find her, it’s like stumbling on a treasure trove.
I’m a student, and getting extensions and styling done was a little pricey, so I would say to make sure you’re willing to spend money on an expensive hair endeavor, because you’re going to need extra things like special shampoo and conditioner and hair sprays, etc. But other than that, she’s wonderful and a highly recommend her!

i got a haircut and balayage by tj! she was so amazing and nice. my friend and i went and it took about 5 hours to get both of our hairs dyed, washed, and cut. even though it may seem like a long time she was so much fun to talk to and so considerate and nice. she’s definitely very knowledgable about hair and kept making sure that the look was exactly what we wanted. she’s so amazing and i love my new hair so much! TJ was great! I used a Groupon and got full highlights, a haircut and a deep conditioning treatment. She was knowledgeable and took the time to get to know me and try to give me the best possible service. The salon was very quiet and soothing. I highly recommend TJ– I will be back for sure.

I highly recommend seeing Telitha at CIS Salon for your hair services. She is awesome! Telitha gave me a great layered haircut and really knows how to handle clients with thick long hair. She is extremely knowledgeable on hair care products and because of her recommendations, my ends were a lot healthier compared to my last haircut with her. The salon itself is charming with a friendly atmosphere. I’m definitely going back to try some of the other services they provide.

I’ve been getting my hair cut, dyed, etc. with Trina (the owner of CIS Salon) for a few years now – and I’m thrilled she finally has a Unilocal page where I can rave about her! Yay!
First, the salon space. Love it. Bright, spacious, and welcoming. Very clean. Trina takes appointments far in advance, which I love, since life is so busy. The salon also has a lady who does facials (and nails, if I remember correctly?).
Trina ALWAYS knows what to do with my hair to make it look nice. She is careful, has a great eye, and listens to what I want before she does anything. Very knowledgeable about hair care products and different hair types. My hair is actually thicker than when I met her, through her suggestions.
I had her ombré dye my hair a few years ago, and it was my first experience doing ANYTHING but cut my hair. Needless to say, I was nervous. But it was gorgeous, didn’t damage my silky hair, and lasted forever. She also recently did medium brown highlights for me. Couldn’t be more thrilled – it looks natural, yet is a change from my dark-​dark-​brown locks. Her service is worth every penny!

This is a lovely salon which provides some unique, and much needed, hair restoration services. It’s private and professional.
I brought my 17 year old daughter in for a haircut. She had an idea of what she wanted to do, but since she’s never really had a professional hair cut (I do her little trims), she was a bit nervous.
Salon owner, Trina knew exactly what would look good on my daughter. She did such a great job on her hair, that two of my other daughters now want their hair cut by Trina!
I also love that it’s so close — nestled into Cambrian Park Plaza — which is walking distance from our house. They also have an aesthetician on site, for facials and waxing.
