Been coming here on & off since it became Bön Mua. This place is alright at best. It’s one of the more old school Quan Nhau’s, while most new QN’s are trending to more of a Lounge theme with in house DJ’s & GoGo dancers. I still prefer the old school way with $ 3 – 4 beers, $ 20 food dishes, $ 40 – 60 hot pot & karaōke. I dont really care for in house DJs & dancers. Sometimes I just wanna come for a few beers & food. Crowd seems to have shifted to an older crowd lately. Which probably explains why the waitresses are a bit older & fobby than other places. Food is not bad here if you know which dishes are good here. Their grilled squid dish & fried rice plates are pretty good. Hopefully you can read vietnamese since their menus are not translated into english. I always seem to have a good time here. But the owner needs to turn the volume down on the karaōke. I try to find a seat away from the speaker or else I cant hear what my friends are saying, I have to yell whenever I need to say something or wait till the song is over to talk.

The former«TAONGO» This Quan Nhau is so small and dark, probably has at max 12 tables. The side patio is what sets this place apart from the other QNs, hopefully they will utilize it come summer time. The dishes are smaller in portion yet equivalent in price compared to the other QNs. I really don’t know why we congregate here but we seem to always do and each time it’s almost a full house. If you like to bar hop then this place will probably be one of your stops for the night, because I see the same faces from the other viet bars as well. The girls are younger here and the service is not bad. Watch your bill at the end of the night! OK neighborhood hang out spot.
