Zoya is an inspirational artist and her workshops are organized and fun. She teaches specific techniques in a structured way that makes it easy to learn but encourages you to find your own style too. You can learn how to paint but find your own creativity too in a very supportive atmosphere. I have taken several workshops from her and plan to keep on learning from her.

As an attorney, I’ve had little chance to explore my creative side. I first signed up for Zoya’s collage class at Sunnyvale/Cupertino Adult School about a year and a half ago. Since then I’ve attended several of her workshops. Each time I learn something new about myself. She has also helped me develop and express a part of me in a new way. I highly recommend her, both as a teacher and an artist. Her work is beautiful.

I’ve taken several of Zoya Scholis’ workshops over the past 2 years. Her knowledge of art and design is extensive, and her enthusiasm is infectious. She is a focused guide who encourages experimentation while aiding the process. I hadn’t drawn for years and had never painted before, so I was pretty nervous and insecure about it. But I was willing to absorb what Zoya taught. She is kind, highly intelligent, personable and I learned. Now I feel confident facing a pencil or paintbrush.
Zoya is an excellent artist and teacher with heart. I highly recommend her for newbies, or experienced artists who long to grow.
