We came here after a hot afternoon at the park. We were very pleasantly surprised to see that they offer TWO official Dole Whip soft serve flavors, both lemon and my most beloved pineapple! That is like finding the holy grail when it’s 98 degrees outside. Aside from the dole flavors, we also tried their original and strawberry. They were great, simple and tasty. Good variety of toppings available, though I didn’t see mochi balls. Seating inside looked like 3 small tables, and 2 – 3 small tables outside the shop. That pineapple dole whip will definitely keep me coming back!

What a great gem to have Almaden! Good selection of frozen yogurt and toppings. When it’s warm you can sit outside. I am so happy to have a place close to home. I hope more people come and try it!

Pretty good yogurt place. I wasn’t sure at first if I want to stop by because of the low number of reviews, but after I went inside it was a good place to get yogurt. Will be back.

I wrote a review about this place back on Jan 28, 2014 and told myself to never come back but I was driving by with my family, that really wanted frozen yogurt, so I stopped. WHAT A MISTAKE! Nothing has changed since my last visit a year and a half ago. Same elderly lady only giving one sample cup and then following us to the machines to make sure we did not fill up more than one sample. When we asked for more cups we were told«NO». They had a few flavors we had not tried before so how are we supposed to know if we want it or not? Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 5 minutes to Yougurtland. They value their customers. 1÷28÷2014 The owner of this place needs to go to Yogurtland and watch how its done. Don’t get me wrong, the yogurt is good and there are plenty of toppings. The issue is with customer service! They only allow you«one» sample cup and hover over you and make sure that you don’t fill it up more than once. Make sure you don’t spill anything because you will get the death stare. And when you pick up a topping, make sure you put it back in the exact place you grabbed it from or else you will get a rolling of the eyes. The owner and the employees need to RELAX!

DOLE Pineapple Soft Serve??? This place is a hidden gem in San Jose. Good variety of flavors/toppings, plenty of parking and seating. I also love how the fruit is fresh. They serve fruit in smaller portions to keep them cold and crisp. They are not sloggy or drenched in juices.

Just your typical Asian sensation yogurt place, nothing really different than the hundreds(thousands) of others. I still prefer a good old fashioned American Ice-cream parlor. Which is why this place get’s three stars. Between all of the locations, everything taste the same, with the same toppings… Nothing is or ever has been different. Is it good? Yes, is it amazing? No. Will I go back to a Yogurt place? Yes, will I be back here? No. Why? Let me explain, It was dead, albeit on a Tuesday afternoon, in the middle of Almaden valley, so that’s a given. These locations aren’t horrible, just not my style… No self respecting greaser would choose one of these places over an ice cream place. Tangy cotton candy? eh, it’s alright, the lemon yogurt taste like a ziplock bag(you’ll know if you ever left a sandwich in one for over 3 – 5 hours)…The toppings were fresh however, so that is a definite plus. If you like frozen yogurt and you’re near by, don’t worry, it will fulfill your desires, it’s the same no matter where you go.

Close to home. Nice little walk with my dog. Got yogurt and asked for water for him. They were very accommodating. Been there several times with friends and family. Happy with each experience. Only four stars because not a lot of favors though the choices are tasty.

Update(June 2013): I came here 20 days in May, things were running pretty smooth — they take credit cards now, Figured out how to correctly fill the napkin dispenser and add some topping choices(Raspberries — yum, whipped cream, and hot tamales? but no junior mints :-() Then didn’t make it back till the end of June. I don’t know what happened… It’s starting to go down hill a bit. — Flavors haven’t changed in weeks. Sigh — Carmel sauce spilled on the counter(about the size of a half dollar), toppings on the floor, trash can overflowing, Yogurt that dripped down on the catch pan. If it was busy, I would chalk this up to «I am busy and will clean this up as soon as I get a moment», but it was not that busy and I sat there for 25 mins while we ate, and there was plenty of down time for the girl working there to do a little house cleaning. I came back the very next day and same thing — floor not clean, counter had chocolate & carmel drips on it, trash overflowing. So I felt compelled to update my earlier review and lower my rating from 4 to 3 stars and I’ll update again in a couple more visits if things improve(I hope so, I really like this place). I feel that since this is a Food establishment, cleanliness should be on the TOP of their list and from my experience in many Yogurtlands in Northern Ca, Southern Ca and Hawaii, I have always been impressed with their attention to keeping the place clean 100% of the time.

Ehhh, I miss Swirls, but still not horrible. Although, the old Big Scoop will always remain king of Almaden.

I was a huge fan of Swirls and am glad to see a great frozen yogurt place back in Almaden oaks. Love the topping options and that unlike others you can have as many toppings as you like !

This is a standard, self-service yogurt shop with decent prices($ 0.36/oz), standard toppings and both dairy and non-dairy options. Nice! Here’s what gets me: The older lady(owner?) sees that I am paying with cash and calculates the total due on a manual calculator, opens the register drawer manually and gives me my change. No receipt. No record of the transaction… very fishy :(

Stepped into here on a gloriously sunny day in the den and we were greeted by our friendly yogurt server to taste test some of the choice yogurt flavor abound. It has a very clean and modern interior like you may find at other joints further away from town. The yogurt flavors are choice and simple… which can be easier for the most indecisive customers. All the flavors and consistency were great. Being the only customers in at that time, I’d expect nothing less. Toppings were fresh and our yogurt server had noted that they had lychee available which I had a little of. Good stuff! I’ll be back if I didn’t want to venture too far off from the area and needed Yogurt. There are a few great local business around the den and this has to be one of them. Great alternative to the big box yogurt joints further away from town. This is a must try if you’re in the area.

Had the opportunity to come at the Grand Opening Day and got a BOGO offer so that was pretty awesome! Got greeted as soon as I came through the door and had sample cups by the register for anyone who wanted to grab a quick taste. Im a fruit fan and like sorbets, so I quickly went with the Mango sorbet. It was a different flavor compared to other places especially since it’s a sorbet. It reminded me a little of guava, but it was still very much mango. Loved it. I couldve finished it with some chilli powder. Yeah, Im Mexican so hot sauce pretty much can go on anything with me. Next flavor I had was pineapple. I also loved this flavor. It was rich and creamy – not icy at all and not artificial; probably the best dairy version Ive tasted. Good job, guys! Definitely will come back. It’s a little far from where I live, but I think its worth it. It’s 36 cents/oz. The topping selection is not as varied, but it’s decent. The ambience has a contemporary feel with laminated black-dyed wooden floors, a green gradient wall of tile against the machine and a salmon pink heading towards the back. Check it out now before the BOGO offers goes away(which would be this Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013). Also it is CASH-ONLY for the moment.
