We got 3 pieces of Magnetic Gray Quartz from Advanced cabinets. The pieces given by them had multiple scratches & looks bad due to dark color of the Quartz. The bullnose side done by them also had chipping. I did approach them about the issue but they said sorry we can’t do anything. Overall I feel really bad after spending over $ 1000 for Quartz countertop for our kitchen renovation. Please watch out for the scratches else you will regret later like me.

This team of associates are very helpful and also patient with a person like myself who asks a million questions. We loved the bolivian walnut cabinet set. I shopped around pretty much all of santa clara county and found that advanced had the best price. Kitchen remodeling is extremely expensive, and it helps to have the main piece of the remodel which is the cabinets to be affordable. Our cabinets will be ready for pick up and install on Saturday. After exploring several cabinet makers from pre-​fab to custom, we selected the Mocha Maple style cabinets from Advance for our recent kitchen and laundry remodel. Mabel, Stacey, Patrick and their entire staff were helpful and extremely patient in answering all our questions. We had a general idea of the kitchen layout plans and the Advance team also had suggestions of how to design the kitchen so it would be practical and suitable for our needs. We visited their showroom several times and communicated via email during our planning process to revise the design to our liking. We appreciated their attention to detail and addressing all our questions and concerns up front.
However, we hit a couple of snags during the install. The first was the special pull-​out trash unit which was a special order that we paid extra for. It was not gliding smoothly and would not close all the way. We also confirmed prior to ordering that it was suppose to have 2 bins, one for trash and the other, recycling. However, it arrived installed with only one bin. After bringing up the issues with Advance, they suggested asking our contractor to adjust the unit and also spraying WD-​40 which eventually after a handful of tries, works decently (though not soft-​close). In regards to the double bins, they apologized that they misspoke and said a 15″ cabinet can only support a single bin. We did some research on our end and it appears there are a couple options out there which can support a double bin so I asked if we could return the one we ordered but Advance insisted the other hardware would not work with their cabinets. In the end, we let it go and just kept the one we ordered but am disappointed that the recycling bin has to sit outside.
The other snag we hit was with the oven/​microwave unit. Again, we asked the question up front of where each appliance would sit in relationship to the other to insure the units sat at a decent height (our family is short so making sure the appliances are accessible was a concern of ours). There was a slight miscommunication with the plans we signed-​off on versus the appliance specs we provided from the appliance manufacturer. Basically, they installed an extra drawer at the bottom which caused the opening for the microwave to be higher than anticipated. After explaining the situation that only a 6′ person could comfortably reach the microwave, Advance took the unit back (on a Saturday) and efficiently corrected the cabinets in time for it to be installed Monday. We were grateful for the speedy turnaround and keeping us on track with our install timeline.
If you are on a budget, Advance is a good way to go. Though take into consideration these details when ordering:
— if you would like soft-​close doors (some of their cabinets include soft-​close hinges while others do not) if not, ask to see if you can upgrade and if possible, opt for German hinges… they run way smoother than the Chinese manufactured ones
— if you would like soft-​close drawers (this is an upgrade and aesthetically it looks nicer because the rails run under the drawers rather than on the side)
— if you would like some of the base cabinet shelves to be pull-​out trays (this is an upgrade which we found well worth it and helpful to reach items in the back; though keep in mind, shelf heights are adjustable whereas the pull-​out trays are NOT adjustable); if you opt for pull-​out trays, note that not all their tray sizes have the matching face panel (for example, we had to take a panel from a 36″ pull-​out and cut it down for a 33″ pull-​out) hopefully. they will eventually offer the face panel in all sizes so the faces have a consistent look
— make sure pre-​drilled peg holes run along most of the cabinet’s interior side walls so shelves are adjustable… we saw some cabinets at other shops that only had pre-​drilled holes in 4 positions, resulting in unadjustable shelves
— ask to see the shelves; we did not ask and ended up hand-​sanding the edges because they were rough and had splinters
— once you’ve selected your stovetop, ask your contractor if there is space to feature a real drawer (rather than a stationary drawer face) under the cooktop unit; we discovered this during installation and Advance provided us with a drawer unit for our contractor to install… the extra storage is very useful!

I have bought a number of kitchen and bathroom systems from Advance, and have found them to be helpful and cooperative. They have a good selection of cabinets, and I have found 2 items that are superior here to anywhere else I know of. This is their shower pans and shower/​bath glass doors. Both are a great value.
