Our San Diego group had a great Easter campout with about 10 RV’s and 10 tents. We caught some catfish, campfires, and Easter egg hunt. The kids enjoyed the pool, playground, and store.

If I can give this place negative stars, I would. Where to begin? FLIES, FLIES and more FLIES! Did I mention this place has a shit load of FLIES? (see pics for proof!) If you want to camp with flies, come here. If you want to smell cow poop while camping, come here. If you want fellow camping neighbors asking for cigarettes, come here. If you want to fish in a dirty ass lake, this is it! Please don’t be fooled by their website! It’s not as cool in person. I’m not sure if we came on an off season weekend, but I think our group was one of the 2 or 3 groups camping… and maybe now I know why! The good: they let us check in at 7am, free wifi and water/​electric hookup every site. But would I come back? HELL NO.

This place is a poor excuse. Fishing is poor at best. The lake is stocked bi-​weekly with just a few pounds of fish each stock day, the fish has no keeper size, the entry fee of 20.00 is ridiculous to the size of the fish that are put into the lake. The place is dirty, infested with flies, ants and bugs. If you just have to camp and or fish I would suggest to travel a few miles down the road and go anyplace else.

Flies, ants, dirt, trash, broken glass, and a polluted lake. Surrounded by foul smelling feed lots. Incredible noise w/​truck traffic all night. Toilets and shower were gross… Avoid at any cost !!
