This is by far the best barbecue joint in hemet– better than Lucille’s and a true taste of southern comfort. The brisket and catfish are beyond what we expected and the price was low enough that we expect to make big daddy’s a new staple destination.

I wanted some good bbg so I went hunting for this place sorry I wasted the gas. Got the platter so I could have some for later but tossed most of it the chicken was hard as a rock and the pulled pork tasted like yesterdays, the ribs were okay didn’t get to try the brisket they didn’t have any. All in all the food was not what I expected and I paid a lot for it

I asked tonight about the ribs shown. They look like baby back ribs to me but I was told all they have is the St louis style spare ribs. I also asked about the 40% discount mentioned in the ad and was treated like I was talking Greek. This place sucks. The help is of no help and the food isn’t all that good. A slab of ribs, an order of fires and slaw costs $ 39.00. Too much money for so little in returrn.

The worst BBQ I’ve had! The brisket was super greasy, ribs too dry. I love ribs so it was really disappointed to have these, I was really hoping to have a good spot close to home. It was a waste of money. There BBQ beans were actually good. We ordered potato wedges as well and they were hard not cooked all the way

Wanted to support this business but it was over priced. Found a special on GROUPON so I thought what the heck … Although the groupon has no exclusions the business obviously has the right to make stipulations. I went to order the«Fam Bam» meal and was told it could only be used towards individual meals. Again not a problem was trying to keep it simple. Went with individual meals but since it’s not a dine in so we took our food to go. When we sat down to eat all of our orders were mixed up making the food inedible for 2 members of my family of 4 since baked beans contain port and although we only ordered two meals with baked beans all except one of the plates contained them. The one plate that was suppose to have chick and double order of fries had pulled pork sand which and some of the meat was on the fries. Due to religious reasons that plate was also no longer an option. Staff wasn’t friendly and service very slow

Now I know people don’t always turn to San Jacinto when they’re looking for something good to eat, but i think if they visited Big Daddy’s BBQ on State st they would have a reason too. If pork ribs with meat falling off the bone and melting in your mouth are your type of thing this is the place for you. I’m talking delicious sauce and fire cooked flavor too. The potato salad very good it taste like my gf made it :) and they’re brisket has no local competitor outside of grandmas house. I know the trip might be a hassle but hey it’s worth it. As quoted from the Terminator«I’ll be back».

Big Daddys should be ashamed of themselves. In my opinion the beef ribs should have never been sold to the public because they were like shoe leather. Had no complaints about the sides. I am sorry but have to mark them off my list. If they remain in business in a couple years I may try the one more time just out of curiosity.

Legitimate BBQ in San Jacinto in this funky drive through. Pulled pork, beef ribs, hot links, all delicious, but my favorite is the brisket. Good amount of smoke and seasonings, and a very good barbecue sauce that is not overpowering. Something else you won’t find anywhere else, barbecued spaghetti… Yes, thats right, barbecued spaghetti. Spaghetti noodles topped with barbecue sauce and pieces of delicious smoked meat. This place is awesome

Stopped here on my way home from Idyllwild. I had been craving bbq for weeks so when I saw Big Daddy’s and smelled the aroma of delicious BBQ I got excited! I had the #1 which was the pork ribs with Mac and cheese and potatoe salad. The ribs were everything I expected and more! Tender and meaty! The potatoe salad was very good but the mac & cheese wasn’t so good. I should add that I’m not a fan of velveeta cheese but if you are, you might think differently of the mac and cheese. My boyfriend had the catfish, which was well seasoned and fried to perfection! The customer service was excellent! The young woman who helped us was courteous and friendly. I live in Orange County so I don’t know when I’ll be back but I’m not opposed to driving over an hour for great food and service! The people complaining about the portions probably SHOULD be watching their portions anyway! And it’s normal to have small portions at a BBQ place. Apparently these people aren’t very cultured. I wish they would get an understanding before giving a bad review based simply on portion.

Great service, however portions are super small 2 bones for 12 bucks. The catfish was good but yet again small portion and they were nugent not fillet. The sides potatoe salad, beans and cole slaw awsome.

Having grown up in Missouri, my boyfriend and I are always on the hunt for a good BBQ spot here in California. This place caught our eye on a road trip so we decided to grab lunch here real quick. I got the brisket sandwich and my boyfriend got the pulled pork sandwich, and we got one of each available side(baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad, and fries). We both agreed that all the sides were pretty good and up to standard(though not the best we’ve ever had). My boyfriend also thought his pulled pork was good, if a bit tough. I personally really disliked the brisket — the meat was so tough and fatty that I gave up on my first bite after two whole minutes of chewing. The rest was a bit better, but only just. The price is on par with any BBQ place I’ve ever been to, but I expect to get good BBQ for what I pay for. I wish this place the best of luck, but hope it can get all its BBQ down perfectly to draw in more people.

Drove thru and loved my beef ribs… The beans and potato salad were great and although a bit pricey for a drive-thru it was amazing!!!

I can tell you a lot about BBQ because I’m a BBQ man my self. I have a commercial pit and often light up the pit. Now about big daddy’s BBQ the food was A grade it really hit the spot I had the 2 pork rib combo with potato salad and fries. Its convenient to have BBQ joint that way I won’t have to fire up my pit when its me or few people. Ill be back to try rest of the menu so far so good

Very few places that make BOMBBBQ, i was in the area because my son had a football game(Fontana popwarner) Gators vs San Jacinto Sabers. After game son, daughter and I was starving. Saw this place and we decided to give them a chance. BOMB, best word i can use to describe their food. We got the FAMILYBAM meal everything we got was delicious. The price was great too i thought i was gonna spend alot. Very affordable but it so good i would have paid more. I live in Fontana but trust me i will make that trip just to eat there. I recommend to ALLAAAA+++++++

I went there the day it opened. 08/07/2015 Staff: Wonderful staff. Very friendly. Probably family. :-) Food: Great beans, and very good home-made potato salad. Terribly dry and tough pork spare ribs. Whoever was preparing the plate should have at least felt the meat for tenderness. It is very common to check for tenderness when plating a meal. When I got home I needed to use a fork to tear the meat off the bones. Then, I actually couldn’t chew the meat. Very disappointed. And, sandwich bread? Not toasted, and no butter on it? Come on. Portions: Small portion of the sides. Seriously? At least, fill me up on the beans and potato salad so I don’t complain about the two average size pork spare ribs. Price: $ 12+ Not worth the price. Dang. Summary: Should be spectacular the first day open. I just live around the corner. And, I wanted a place that I could frequent once or twice a week. Not sure if I’ll ever return. Probably not. I was really hoping to be impressed. Was let down. Double-dang.

I was anxious to try this place since it is a new drive-through place that looked promising. What can I say… small place, BIG prices! The BBQ dishes were mediocre, the potato salad looked dark and unfresh, and WHAT? Sliced sandwich bread served with the combo? Please… at these prices you’d expect some crusty French bread or garlic bread… not Wonder Bread! Speaking demographically, this place will have to improve their quality and reduce their prices if they expect to stay in business in THIS town. For my money, I’d go into Hemet and enjoy Sweet Baby Jane’s BBQ. Consistent quality every time!

Pulled pork sandwich plate was way too expensive for the portion size. It did taste okay though. We also ordered 1lb of brisket which was really good. I give this place 2⁄5 stars because of the price and the poor customer service when ordering. The lady taking my order was very unprofessional.

Wow! Best BBQ I have ever had. I had the brisket sandwich with fries and beans. Hubby had pork ribs with beans and potato salad. We were both blown away. Everything was good. The beans are sweet and smokey and wonderful, the fries were big, fat & homemade. A little pricey, but then everywhere you go now, the prices are high. The quality is so good that I didn’t feel like I over paid. The sauce is sooooooo good. I can’t take a lot of heat and even though it has some heat is was not more than I could take. It is so good I can forgive the heat. Good job Big Daddy. Keep up the good work and please don’t let the quality go down. We will be back very soon. Update. I think Big Daddy sold out. We ate there today and everyone in there was different. The food went from the best bbq to the worst. The meat on the sandwich was old and dried out. Sauce was not the same and tasted terrible. The beans that were so good before, now taste like they are from a can. The potato salad tastes store bought and the fries are not homemade but frozen. The sandwich was on a nice roll before, now a hamburger bun. Nothing was the same. I am left will a horrible metallic taste in my mouth. We will NOT be back.
