Mouthwatering al pastor tacos with tender yet firm tortillas! The onions and cilantro the tacos come with are not overwhelming at all – they add freshness to the vivid flavors of the meat. Juicy fish tacos with the perfect amount of crisp. Fast service! Incredibly nice people, very patient with my order even though I changed it about three times.

This place is amazing! I came here with a couple of friends and we were all shocked at how good it is! I got 2 tacos of carne asada, 1 of carnitas and 1 of al pastor, an order of carne asada nachos and a carne asada quesadilla and was stuffed! I’m usually picky about my Mexican food but this one stood out the most, good job guys keep up the good work!

La Dona is my new Madonna! When you’re in the mood for some tacos for 99 cents and some dirty dogs w/o the LA hassle come to la Dona taco Truck yo. Get your fatness ON! Bring your dolla dolla bills cuz plastic is Not accepted and fulfill your tacos desire. I really like their lengua, Cabeza. Asada and carnitas here!!! Since I do not eat the tortilla never liked it since I was a bambino I just order a grip of tacos and a lengua burrito with no beans and just grub my ass off. Oh be careful tho last time I was here 5⁄24 for taco Tuesday we ordered $ 30 bucks worth of food and they forgot two of our al pastor tacos so please count your ish b4 you bounce. If you just want a yummy burrito get a mixed one with lengua and Cabeza it’s so good!!! You’re welcome.

Craving Carne Asada Tacos and/or Carne Asada Nachos? This is where I go especially around this area and when it’s late at night. The food truck is parked on the street. I usually call in my order to avoid the wait and always take it to go since there is no seating area. :Drinks: I sometimes get the Horchata or a bottle of Jarritos, Tamarind flavor. :Food: My favorite is the Carne Asada Tacos and Carne Asada Nachos! The tacos are small so I order up to six tacos and request for one torilla. I like their red and green salsa. For a spicy kick, I would pick the red salsa. I also add the chopped onions, cilantros, and squeeze the lime. Sometimes I also order the hot dog wrapped in bacon. :Customer Service: Friendly and quick. :Tip: To avoid the long wait especially on the weekends, call and place your order :M’s Notes: ~This food truck is parked on the side street and it’s next to McDonald. ~Street Parking ~No seating area ~Busy on the weekends

Hands down the best taco truck ever! I’ve never been disappointed with Tacos la Dona. Minus one star only because it’s cash only. Who carries cash nowadays? Tip: I just go across the street to 7 – 11 and buy a drink with cash back.

Omg! Amazing!!! One of the best taco truck tacos I’ve ever had. I got: asada, brisket, carnitas, shrimp, and the spicy pork. All of them were amazing!!! The red sauce is definitely different from the red sauces I’ve ever had. It made the tacos that much better! Annoyance rant: The thing that annoyed me the most was that the prices for the menu items are not listed. It’s such a hassle asking the different price of all their tacos. I also was curious about their burritos and hurraches also. But I felt like a burden asking how much they were. It’s important to know the price since its cash only. So please, PUTUPYOURPRICES!!! Plus, I don’t want to feel like I’m being overcharged since they can make up any price. As read in other reviews, a few customers has the same sentiments as I did also. PLEASEPUTUPYOURPRICES.

Recently I lost a good friend to a motorcycle accident, one night we had a fund raiser for him and the place that was selling food had over an hour wait. I decided to skip out on waiting, we rode our motorcycles back and before you know it my watch read 1:15AM. We stopped by tacos la doña and had a friend meet us up(he took an über) we didn’t realize they closed at 1AM and we were told it was too late to place an order… With looks of confusion on our faces we quickly searched our phones for any place open, it looked like it would be McDonald’s(across the street) right as we were putting our helmets on a woman stepped out of her car and told us to order(I later found out she was the owner) we kept it simple and got tacos… this single gesture made my week, I was stressed, tired, sad and hungry. She went above and beyond and served us, the tacos were great but the level of customer service we got was amazing. I literally live closer to about 4 trucks and I’ll drive out of my way(another 15 minutes) just to buy tacos here because of this amazing woman and her crew. You will not be disappointed by the food here, I’m a customer for life!

Solid taco truck for those late night cravings. Came here around 1am with a huge line ahead of us. We ordered two al pastor quesadilla and an al pastor burrito and they were all amazingly done. Remember to ask for hot sauce and a bag of onion & hot peppers to go with your snack. I would definitely come back.

This taco truck used to be in the small old gas station, but now it has to move out to park into the side street at night time. We saw cops came over to eat their taco very often. There’s no doubt that this taco truck provide good late night snacks, it was $ 1 per taco and the quality of meat was good. However, things change a lot lately. Not only the portion of the meat shrinks, the price is increased pretty fast. We had three tacos and it costs $ 5.25 now. No wonder there’s less people than before, plus it’s difficult to find a parking around. What a pity!

Best taco truck to eat at night! Their al pastor is the best I’ve had compared to some of the best taco joints in LA. They leave some fat on the meat which makes it rich and tender while it marinades in its sauce. Add some amazing(sometimes really spicy) green sauce with onions and radish to your $ 1 taco and amaze your tastebuds.

The tacos here remind me of Tacos straight from l.a., so good. The carne asada has all these juices and it’s better than San Gabriel’s truck. I came on Taco Tuesday where its a dollar per taco. I am not sure the price on regular days. The only downside is their burritos are so small like the size of my hand. I brought it home for someone and they were still hungry after that. I am use to seeing big burritos compared to this. Still, it’s satisfying for a snack.

when you’re craving good«mexican food» super late at night, where do you go? tacos la doña! i’ve been here on two different occasions, both after studying super late at night and well after midnight, but for some reason, there is always a huge cluster of people on the sidewalk near the taco truck. — - f o o d — - [ dirty dog ] i got this the last time i was here because one person took a picture of it on Unilocal, and i was thoroughly surprised! the hotdog was delicious! it’s on the smaller side, so i’d say you could finish it within 3 – 4 bites, but it’s well worth it if you’re not craving tacos. [ tacos ] can’t go wrong with any of them. they range in price depending on the meat that you choose, and they’re just over $ 1 for each of the tacos. my favorites have been: lengua and the el pastor. — - s e r v i c e — - i would say that they are relatively quick about getting your order out to you, even with a long line of people. if you’re getting to-go, ask them for both sauces(red and green). they even give you a small bag of onions/cilantro to top off your tacos with. i can’t remember if they have radish-ed carrots or not, but this is honestly the one thing i need with my mexican food.

Pretty solid tacos. The green salsa for them is more runny and less chunky than other places(I think King Taco’s green salsa is a pretty high standard). I usually get the Carne Asada tacos and the meat is usually tender and cooked well without being tough like rubber. If you get it To Go, they put the tacos wrapped in foil and in a plastic baggie. You can ask for a plate and then a foil cover, which saves you a plate when you get home. I miss the times when they used to let you scoop your own onions/cilantro, radishes, and limes. You have to ask for all those things now, and they give it to you. If you’re eating it on the spot, you can squirt your own salsa from a bottle, otherwise they’ll give you a prepacked container with it. Tacos are $ 1 and burritos are $ 5, which I think is a reasonable price for a taco truck. The location is worse now that the smog check station is closed and fenced off. This means you can only park on the street. Last time I came, I had to make a 3 point turn once I passed the truck and park across the street in front of the McDonald’s.

Strange that they automatically place tacos in foil and in a bag… Would’ve preferred it in paper plates per environmental sake and per convenience sake. Had to run home to eat the tacos. Tacos tasted pretty good. Although the tortillas were soaked after being stuck in the foil for a bit. Prices were fair.

Food is average. Tacos are only a buck each. They have dirty dogs. You need to ask for condiments or you wont get any.(Onions, cilantro, sauce, radish, lime, etc). The only reason why people rate it high as there is nothing else nearby open late at night, and everything tastes good when you are drunk and or hangry. They always forget to give you your drink so don’t forget to ask for it at the pickup window.

Not often you get pretty good tacos in SGV. Usually you gotta drive out to LA area to get some tacos. It doesn’t list the prices on the truck but from what I can recall is that a burrito is $ 5 and tacos are $ 1. I got asada burrito. Can never go wrong with it! It came with rice, beans, onions, cilantro and the meat you decide to go with. The initial bite wasn’t all flour, rice and beans. It had a mixture of everything for the first bite! Usually that doesn’t happen. It had a nice balance between all the ingredients. You never had a bite without everything. They have two sauces, green and red. Red has a nice spicy kick to it without killing your mouth. Green is more of a mild flavor. Either or you can’t go wrong. If you can’t decide ask for both! That’s what I did.

Short wait and worth the $ 1 for the tacos! I’ve never had a single mixed or messed up order at this taco truck and I’ve been coming here for over 5 years! The service is great and they are always really friendly! the only food truck I would continuously go back to. Would always get them to go in high school and they are perfect as a late night snack! Make sure to ask for sauce containers :) Try the fish tacos too and pineapple soda!

Definitely one of the best late night taco places around the 626 area. They’re super cheap and yummy! Its located at the corner of Duarte and Rosemead. The truck is right across McDonalds. The tacos here are $ 1 except for fish tacos which I believe are $ 1.50. They don’t put the onions, cilantro, and sauce on it for you so you have to do it yourself. Ask for the sauces! The dirty dog is also so good! It’s packed with flavor and it hits the spot when you’re super hungry or had a night out of drinking. Sometimes it gets super packed and you’ll probably have to wait a while for your order. That’s because everyone’s tryna get them delicious tacos!

TL: DR: Probably one of the best corn tortillas I’ve had in a while! I highly recommend the pastor tacos. Definitely a go-to spot with the homies late-night. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — I was able to try the pollo, pastor, and lengua tacos as well as the dirty dog. The pastor tacos really stood above the rest due to its umami-like taste; hit it with the spicy onions they have in the back and their red sauce, and O Boy will you have a great time. The pollo and lengua tacos were pretty standard, but delicious nevertheless. The dirty dog wasn’t for me. It was missing something extra(maybe a toasted or softer bun would’ve hit the spot).

Taco truck in San Gabriel that has a variety of your Mexican cravings. from quesadillas, burritos to tacos, this truck has it all. The good thing about this truck is that they stay open pretty late at night so that the late night cravings are cured as well! I think the knock-off on the star is for the food being saturated with so much oil. the food itself tastes pretty fresh and decent, but it’s really bad when the oil starts dripping!

Decent pastor in the SGV! I’m used to LA tacos because well I live there. However, this place delivers on their pastor! It comes saucy and has the tangy pineapple taste to it. I also had the shrimp tacos which were alright, probably better if I had a couple of drinks in me. They have definitely stepped up in appearance as the truck has been newly designed since I last came years ago. What I don’t like is that they serve the onions and cilantro and sauces for you. chale guey!

Whenever I’m coming back from near Santa Anita mall, I plan my return route to drive down Rosemead Blvd so I can come and get some tacos on my way home. This truck is always here in the late nights across from Mcdonalds. These tacos are one buck each and they are great. I usually get the carne asada tacos. I like to order the tacos for here cause they plate it nicely for you. If you ask for it to go, they will wrap it up for you and scoop some onions and limes in a bag. Overall, a great place for a late night dinner or snack.

Gotta say that this taco truck has really been a disappointment as of late. La Dona used to be our go to late night taco truck, but I think their popularity has brought their downfall. The quality just isn’t the same as it used to be. For over 10 dollars I got 1 lengua burrito, and two tacos. Already the price has put them at a tier above their competitors where you would pay 7 – 8 dollars. The price is not where I take issue though, it’s the actual food. Besides the fact that the portions have gotten ridiculously small, they just don’t seem to care about putting out good meat anymore. My carne Asada and pollo were completely dry. Even their red and green salsa couldn’t save it. I’m still not sure what the lengua tastes like anymore, their seemed to be none in my burrito. All I could taste was beans and rice. :( Will be going to la Estrella now for my late night Mexican cravings.

This place is my late night snack saver! *v* I tired taco with beef brisket, beef steak, beef tongue and quesadilla with beef steak. Taco: beef brisket– it is very juicy and smells real good, I can get a dozen of them! beef steak– needa chew for a bit but not bad beef tongue– it got a bouncy texture lol, I just like it! Quesadilla: lots of cheese, just a bit of that makes you feel so happy! **must ask for onions, radish and lime **great with red sauce **recommend to come on weekends, cause the meat will be more juicy **CASH-ONLY

There’s nothing better than $ 1 street tacos late at night. I used to come all the time before they upgraded their truck. The tacos themselves have more or less stayed the same throughout the years, which is a good thing. I usually stick with the asada, pastor, and an occasional tripas taco. There is also a good amount of meat with each taco. The onions and cilantro aren’t self serve anymore though which is a bummer. On a side note i noticed someone say that there was a hair in one of their tacos, but they kindly replaced it with no hesitation. I’m not sure other taco trucks would do the same so kudos to them.

This is one amazing taco truck that I don’t mind driving out to. They’re open till late at night and they’re mighty tasty. The suadero tacos/burritos are just right. I will admit that they’re kind of oily, but there’s just so much flavor in every bite. This truck is located in front of this lot, which is next to some apartment complex(apparently that complex complained about noise levels once when the taco truck was originally in the lot instead of where it is at now which is the side of the street). They’re cheap and don’t forget, they only take CASH(NOCARDS!)

It would’ve been four stars except I got yelled at when I asked for a plate :(. She basically scolded me when I asked for it and said make sure to say specifically what I want when I order up. :/. I mean it was a kinda busy night since it was labor day but don’t get snippy with me I was just hungry. Next time I come back I’ll just get a ‘for here’ order and never get a to go. Anyways onto to the food, I got 6 carnitas and 1 buche. Weird ratio huh? The carnitas we’re nice and moist but honestly i fell in love with the buche(pork stomach) it had a nice chew to it and it was soo good with the lime and green sauce that next time I’m going to change up my ratio! Be sure to always ask for extra grilled onions too :).

Cheap and delicious, but not that fast… since there’s a ton of people. We waited for over 30 minutes for our tacos and they got rid of the stand where you could add your own sauces and pico de gallo and what not. Guess people were taking advantage of it, now you have to personally ask them if you want anything on your tacos. Sad they’re only open after dinnertime because I sometimes really crave this in the afternoon too. They also got a lot more famous since the last time I’ve been here, but I think this is the best taco place around here. Will always have a soft spot for this place since it’s the one that made me enjoy Mexican food more, I wasn’t really big on it before.

I’ve never ever been to a food truck, nor have I ever seen one around in the 626 area! Maybe because I never really cared too much about them but this place is dirt cheap and good! Money well spent! They’re located on the corner of Duarte Rd. and Rosemead Blvd. on the curb of an old gas station! I heard that parking is usually full around 11pm to 1am and you just park around the station! lol Came right after the gym at 12:30am, and stood in line for no longer than 10 min. Line kept getting longer and longer every several minutes. Even when they closed down the truck, and turned everything off, last minute customers were rushing to order still! When it was my turn to order, I got 4 pastor tacos and horchata for $ 6! What?! How can you beat that?! Well Michoacan in LA serves 5 tacos and a drink for $ 6.25. Doesn’t matter, still cheap! lol Oh yeah, they take CASHONLY! Luckily, I only had 6 bucks with me! Otherwise, I’d have to beg my friends, like a broke B, for some moolah! haha Also, as you can see in my picture, the pastor(fried pork) comes marinated in a red spicy sauce, asked for onions and cilantro, and lots of radishes! Squeezed some lime onto those bad boys and chowed it down! DEEEELICIOUSO! I got full pretty quickly but ended up getting hungry again after a 5 minute cool down. #perksoffastmetabolism I didn’t want to order anything because they were shutting everything down so I’ll just wait until next time!(: That’s how yummy this place is! YAY! 5 stars for cleanliness, super friendly staff, yummy food, and opens ’til late!

They are [almost] always good. Most nights in particular, the high demand translates into hot, better, fresher? tacos. But this time it was Sunday around 6:45pm, plenty of sunshine, one person in line, the food was off unfortunately. –Fish taco: no no no. It was not recently fried, the tortilla was hard, flavor on the bland side, the cabbage sliced too thick for enjoyment.(I recommend slicing it very thinly for a softer bite) HUGEMISS. –Tacos de Lengua, Pastor y Cabeza: my all time favorites, tasted great except for the tortilla. I’m telling you, if it isn’t soft and warm, the whole taco is a miss. They were okay overall. –Jarritos: a soda that isn’t cold is just not worth drinking. A MISS. Can I get you guys some ice? The food was to stay, but they missed the fact and wrapped up everything to go, which made it harder to eat. I decided not to have them fix it which was a mistake, because the onions and cilantro were all on the side, in otherwords, a mess to prep. 8 tacos, one jarritos: Around ~$ 11 Ahh, dissappointed at this particular visit, all because of the tortillas and that they wrapped everything to go in a bag. Last time i was here i loved them so much. They are not consistent, better not sit too comfy on the food truck war. I’d probably come back at night, when it’s busy busy busy.

Decent taco truck in the San Gabriel Valley. Friend and I were craving tacos and didn’t want to go all the way to East LA area, so we looked up decent spots in the SGV. This was the closest place with favorable reviews so we decided to check it out. There was a line upon arrival but we were able to place our order relatively quickly. I ordered five tacos(3 pastor, one tripa, and one fish) which came out to $ 5.50 and my friend ordered a suedero quesadilla for $ 7.50. The pastor was ok, but the tripa was awful, greasy and burnt. The fish taco was suprisingly good but small; the piece of fish was around the size of my thumb. Friend said his quesadilla was really greasy and said he wouldn’t get it again. If I come back I’ll try the Dirty Dog. Find street parking or park in the lot next to the truck. CASHONLY
