A person got me Almond Milk Tea with boba from this place so I’m only speaking on this drink… It was reminiscent of the Almond Milk Tea from Factory Tea Bar(which I love). A bit on the sweeter side, which I’m sure is adjustable. Boba was a nice soft chewy texture. Overall a solid drink and I wouldn’t mind giving it another go.

This has become one of my favorite tea cafes. My boyfriend’s sister introduced it to me and it is the perfect study spot. The music is really low key, usually just plays acoustic covers of mainstream songs, and the café overall is very quiet. The service is definitely a 5⁄5. They’re very attentive and friendly. I have gotten the peach mango tea and the Jasmine Milk Tea, both I would rate 5⁄5. The Peach Mango Tea is the right frutiness. The creaminess in the Jasmine Milk Tea is the right amount and I found the sweetness to be perfect, 3/5, I don’t like things super sweet. In terms of food, I’ve gotten the cajun popcorn chicken and same as the drinks, 5⁄5. It’s the perfect study snack! A lot of other popcorn chicken I have had taste a little too greasy for my liking, but this was great. She’s gotten the spam musubis before and said they were bomb — next time I’ll have to come back to try it! There’s parking in the plaza it’s located in, usually lots of space. I will definitely be back. :)

The craving for spam musubi hit hard on Friday, so I planned to pick up some orders for Friday night dinner. I(and the BF) loved the spam musubi at Boba Tea Lounge but it was slightly out of the way. Thanks to John T’s recommendation to try the musubi at T4U Café, I found this spot to be much closer on my path from work to home. Right after work, I stopped by for 2 orders of spam musubi($ 3.99 for each order, 2 pieces per order) and an order of popcorn chicken($ 4.99). I noticed when checking in on Unilocal that there is a offer for a free size upgrade on drinks, but alas, I wasn’t planning on ordering any drinks this visit. While I was waiting for the food, the server mentioned it will take some time to make the musubi and popcorn chicken and said I can take a seat at their couch or chairs while waiting. Appreciate the kindness of that gesture. The place itself is not meant for gatherings of large groups. They have about 4 – 5 tables and a couch(2 seater) with coffee table. So how was the food? The popcorn chicken comes in 4 flavor options: original, BBQ, cajun, and spicy. I didn’t realize original meant no flavor(no wonder they didn’t ask how spicy I wanted it) –_– so I ended up using all of the side of ranch for dipping. And yes, this is also the first time I’ve seen ranch given as a dipping sauce. The popcorn chicken was crisp and crunchy, but not chewy, reminding me of those shake and bake type chicken. BF kept saying he tasted a hint of seafood, like maybe they fried it in the same batch with fried squid or something. We give 3 stars for the popcorn chicken. We definitely fared better with the spam musubi. It was as I hoped it would be! Seriously, frying the spam before wrapping it in rice and seaweed should be the way to go! BF wholeheartedly agreed, though he was sad to find it so pricey(at $ 3.99 for two, it is the most we’ve paid for spam musubi). We give the spam musubi 4 stars(the fifth star for the price). They have their own private lot that’s shared with other businesses in the plaza for parking. I came at a time where the spot next to the handicapped parking was open, so I had no worries of getting dings on my car. The other spots look a bit small, made for compact cars, and I can easily imagine the lot full during peak times. If the lot’s full, there’s street parking out front. I don’t recall a minimum for credit card usage, but my order was about $ 14, so it’s possible I passed the minimum bar of spending.

4⁄5 ambiance. Good for studying and catching up with friends. Makes me feel a little claustrophobic. 4⁄5 for my drink and popcorn chicken. 5⁄5 service I would come back again.

Got a chamango tea and Cajun popcorn chicken. Almost chocked on the tea because of how salty and bitter it was. Only drank a couple sips but my girlfriend thought it was ok. The popcorn chicken had a hair in it and we asked for a refund, but they insisted to remake it which took them 10+ minutes.

If your a college student and need a place to study it’s a small quiet place to do it. As for the drinks I’d have to say it sucked. As the ingredients for my drink wasn’t even fresh. It had this strong aftertaste and I can see powder crystals floating at the bottom. Since these places are a dime a dozen I’ll just find another spot to check out next time I’m in the area. Also when your patrons are smoking outside the door and the fumes and permeating the inside it gets quite annoying. The person in-charge needs to push those people farther away from the door and or keep the door closed.

This little boba shop is cute, convenient, and yummy. The workers are so sweet. I was standing outside waiting for my drink because of the tight, crowded space inside and the worker seemed to notice and came outside to give me my drink with a smile on her face. I’d definitely come back to try another drink!

If you’re planning to come here to study, this is the perfect place! It’s a small, quiet little boba shop with great workers that are nice and attentive to you. I love coming here to do homework and their teas are great! I usually just get a green tea with no sugar but the passion fruit green tea with lychee is fantastic. The taro smoothie with boba satifies my sweet tooth as well. Love it here!

I love Vietnamese coffee but when I asked for it to be made with minimal sweetness I mean it. The café has parking but you can only make a right out of the lot so I ended up going the opposite direction from where I needed to go until I could make a turn in light of all that construction and slow drivers.

I came here on a rainy day and was surprised it wasn’t packed at all. I was able to get a table so my girlfriend can do her studies. They have 4 tables for 4 and one huge round table that seats 8. The waitress/cashier was super nice to us when we walked in. What we got! Green Milk Tea. with boba. nice and sweet BBQ fries Taste like the ones from potato corner but could use a little extra more seasoning Popcorn CHicken — nice a crispy.

Yay! Always great to find mom & pop places with friendly service and good drinks! They use to have construction in front, thankfully it’s now gone but depending on traffic, it might be a mission going into the plaza. It’s next to my optometrist too! It doesn’t seem to get fully packed here but I usually stay away from the intersection of Broadway and San Gabriel Blvd. It’s a very cutesy and modern décor inside, which I love! The colors on the tables and chairs of teal and dark brown wood. There’s even a restroom and a big table and chairs for big party but the place itself isn’t too big. They have lots of outlets and free wifi. My guy has been bugging about going here for a while but the intersection though… lol. Finally caved in and was surprised but how much I enjoyed here. 2 for one drink special? It’s either Unilocal check-in discount or special. We got the mango chamango, avacado smoothie and fruit drink. Mango Chamango is totally different with my favorite place(Garcias) but I really love it. On days when I can’t cheat, it’s a lighter version with fruits and mango slush. Yummmmy! I added extra spice and tamarind. Fruit drink was yummy! !! Midway into the drink, we combined them two and it’s even better. Avocado smoothie is balanced and yet sweet. In ways it’s lighter but the flavor isn’t forgettable. Its very icy but smooth, definitely major brain freeze. Pairs very well with boba but when we took our time the boba got hard. Not the locations fault, boba gets hard with ice. Popcorn chicken! !!! The crust is unlike the places we tried. It’s very crunchy and seasoned well with each bite. The chicken was moist and the ranch dressing was great for dipping, more of a fusion popcorn chicken. Only thing but no biggie, it’s not spicy. My guy lives spice, thankfully it’s not. =x Customer service was top notch! He was super impressionable and helped us patiently. He even let us stay past closing time.

I’ll admit it now: I’m super biased for this place. Love it! Tucked into an unassuming corner of the plaza next to the more popular A Plus Tea House, it’s a small but homely little milk tea shop. What it doesn’t have in size, it makes up for in quality. The breakdown: PROS: *Popcorn chicken — Different but meaty, lightly battered goodness! *Excellent service! The man who runs it is extremely attentive and accommodating. *Music videos — Adds to the ambiance and isn’t too loud(there was reggae one day and Boyce Avenue another day). *Deals: check in for size upgrade and buy 3, get one free. CONS(mostly size-related): *Snugly fits about 5 parties of four or so in full capacity. *Gets loud very, very easily. *Not a good place if you’re looking for any privacy in your conversations(you see and hear all).

Cozy little café. Various types of drinks and snacks. Inside is very small so perhaps it’s best to go there for take out. About 4 – 5 tables but not really suitable for a big group. Spam Musubi was good. The spam was lightly breaded and fried like tempura. Quite a volume. Tasted good. Not like«WOW! I have to come back!» Place. I could come back, kind of place. Parking is terrible. Sharing with other businesses with small parking lots. Need to park on the side of the street in front of the café.

T4ME? Chamango! Yell it out loud! It’s so fun to say… cha-mango! CHA-MANGO! You’re in for quite the dessert treat, chunky cubes of mango sitting on top of a mango smooth that’s all sweet, salty, tangy, and sour all at once. Everyone’s invited to this party in your mouth! Is it Mexican or Asian? Mexian? Asican? Have you heard of that one girl’s fanny? It like a tropical fruit. She’ll let any MANGO in there.

Another tea house within a few blocks of A Plus, Neighbors, and Tbay? Yep, and T4U has found a way to stand out from the other tea places with their Chamango drink. I didn’t try it, but it seems to be a pretty stand out drink that isn’t served at most other tea houses. T4U is located in a small plaza on San Gabriel. There’s a private parking lot for the plaza, but there’s also street parking as well. It’s a really tiny tea house, with only two or three tables and a couch area. I think there was another table outside with chairs around it, but when I came with my friend, every seat was taken and we had to resort to going elsewhere to drink our drinks. There were a few drinks I wanted to try from T4U’s top ten drinks, but I convinced myself to just get one. I tried the Sea Salt Cream Green Tea, which I have high expectations for. I thought it tasted fairly good. With the Unilocal check-in, I received a large sized drink — and with the addition of boba, everything was still under $ 4. Boba was really good. Chewy and firm, with enough sweetness to give it flavor. It didn’t detract from the green tea flavor either. Whenever I order this particular drink, I like to make sure that the cream is separate from the tea. I felt like the color of the tea was pretty similar to the cream, which made me think that maybe milk was added. But the tea was pretty good — not as «pure» as I have had from other places, but I liked it. I would probably put T4U’s sea salt cream green tea in my top five, with this being the fifth compared to other tea houses. My friend tried the honey green tea and the Hokkaido milk tea and thought they both were good. Can’t really comment much since I only tried one drink and I thought it was good. Service was fast and efficient — drinks came out in under 5 minutes. I wanted to try their Cassava cakes, but they were all out. I will be back to try their popular Chamango drink as well as their Cassava cake and popcorn chicken! Credit card accepted on orders of more than $ 10, otherwise you can pay $ 0.40 to use the card. Don’t forget to get a stamp card! If you can find a place to sit, they have Wi-Fi and board games for customers.

Unilocal Check-In: Free Upgrade to Large Size My bf bought the Avocado smoothie and I ordered the Grapefruit Honey Green tea. First off, let me just tell you that we were turned off by the fact that it took FOREVER for them to make our drinks. Luckily, we found a table to play some board games but it literally took them about 10 – 15 minutes. Even though the board games helped pass time by, I know that if I wanted to pick up the drinks TO-GO, I would not wait that long. The Avocado smoothie wasn’t great. My bf could taste some of the avocado, but if you’re looking for some wholesome authentic avocado smoothies, this isn’t the place for you. The Grapefruit Honey Green Tea was very disappointing. It didn’t taste anything like Grapefruit because they doused the whole thing with honey. I was actually looking forward to the tarty flavor, but I didn’t get that. The café is kind of small, so you’re really limited to tables and seats. I wouldn’t recommend it for people to study, unless you come here super early. There’s plenty of parking and stamp cards are available.

This is the first place I taste actual tea in my drink besides the Green Tea at Boiling Point. What does it mean? It means my Peach Mango Tea with Grass Jelly tastes a little bit bitter but this way I know I’m not drinking water with a bunch of unhealthy mixed syrup. T4U is a rather new place judging by the numbers of review. As I’m sitting here this place is suddenly full of people. Too many actually considering the space. It has only 3 tables(each 4 seats) and two couches with its table. It’s tiny and from outside very inconspicuous. For the drinks it feels like they take a couple minutes longer than we used to. But again I think it’s because they actually make it fresh. Besides I see people ordering snacks and other food. Don’t forget to CHECK-IN for a free drink upgrade. Taboo, Connect 4, Card games etc. Plenty of outlets for you to charge your electronic devices. The WIFI is bobatea21 and the key for the restroom is at the counter. You’re welcome. You’re literally welcomed here! Come check it out.

T4U Café replaced JJ Tea House( ) approximately 11 months ago. Their nearest(in terms of distance) boba competitor, A Plus Tea House, is only one block away. Atmosphere and menu: Not a bad place to study — free WiFi with five tables(three dining tables and two coffee tables) and two cushy sofas. Additional $ 0.50 if your credit card purchase is less than $ 10. Pretty friendly staff and nothing too spectacular with their selection(Vietnamese coffee, iced tea, milk tea, smoothie/slush, iced milk drink, etc). Don’t forget to check-in on Unilocal — one free drink upgrade. Top 10 drinks: Peach Mango GT, Seasalt Cream Green Tea, Caramel Iced Milk, Matcha Milk Tea, Chamango, Avocado, Grapefruit Honey GT, Fruit Frenzy, Cookies N Creams, and Green Milk Tea. *** Popcorn chicken(medium spicy, $ 4.50): Interesting, it came with ranch dipping sauce. Nice crunchy texture(texture was similar to tater tot). Medium spicy actually tingled my tongue a bit. Overall, popcorn chicken tasted slightly salty and ranch dipping sauce didn’t improved the flavors by that much. The biggest weakness? No basil at all and chicken lacked chewiness.(2.5÷5) Taro slush($ 3.99 + $ 0.50 boba): I wasn’t disappointed at all … at least the drink met my expectations — tasted pretty concentrated with soft non-honey boba. Did this taro slush beat Little Bean’s real taro milk? Obviously not. My issues? Taro slush wasn’t as slushy as I would like. Overall the drink tasted very similar to taro slush from Boba Loca, but T4U Café got chewier boba.(3.75÷5) *** I think T4U serves good enough drinks to survive in the competitive SGV(San Gabriel Valley) boba war, but nothing really stands out here. I personally prefer A Plus Tea House over T4U Café.

Dropped off Mom to her doc appointment and went to go get my boba fix. Unilocal boba and this place popped up. They’re right next to the Japanese koi fish selling place. Also, they’re next to the train tracks. I freaked out for a second thinking it was a mini earthquake. Though the employee there didn’t seem phased, lol! Refreshing and smooth — ordered the Matcha Green Milk Tea with popping boba(Pink color). I also got a Unilocal check in for a free upgrade. Large cup size — think Starbucks Venti size with lotsa popping bobas :) The difference? Regular boba is black and chewy and bigger. Popping boba is smaller, pink and has mystery flavors that pop in your mouth — thus the popping boba, lol! My drink was $ 3.50 for medium size and additional $ 0.50 for popping bobas. Total with tax: $ 4.36 — not bad! My popping bobas tasted tangy and flavors of strawberries and raspberries. Plentiful of popping bobas and the matcha green milk tea tasted sweet and creamy. The popping bobas reminds me of big salmon roe eggs on sushi, hehehe. Service was nice and friendly. Would definitely come back when I’m in the area next time.
