Business is closed. Lou left members High and Dry in the middle of the night. He was nice till he ran off. Money can do funny things to people — lol.

I joined this gym many years ago. Somewhat high pressure to join, but they knew their stuff and took workouts seriously. I started suspecting in the past few months that things were not right there. Then I noticed they finally closed their doors and boarded up their windows. I just hope they did not leave a bunch of members hanging like what happened in Pasadena several years ago with quite a few independently owned gyms.

Most people will notice the $ 10/month membership on the windows. There’s a catch. $ 99 down and $ 10/month. ;-) Or $ 40 month to month. But I still joined anyways. I need to give my knees a break after too much soccer. Pros: Fairly clean. Good location(SG Blvd and Broadway). Friendly owner who’s also a trainer. Kinda cheap. Not crowded. Lots of weight lifting stuff. There are multiple stair masters. Cons: Lacking newer equipment. Stationary bikes are from the late 80s me thinks. There is no elliptical machine. Conclusion: If you’re looking to lift weights and body build, its a good choice. However the lack of an elliptical or newer bikes might kill the deal for some.
