Number 10 is the best! I especially love the panda jelly and red tapioca.

A safe bet is to choose from one of their most popular ones they recommend. They conveniently put the more popular ones as pictures on the walls inside. I usually get a number 10 or a number five, which is avocado and always tastes like ripe, rich avocados. I come here often and my mom has an especially keen taste for it haha

This place is a rip off, they charge 5 bucks for their regular dessert drinks compare to 3.25 Bambu in O. C
And their dessert taste nothing like the one in O.C.

Loooove Bambu, always get the #1 & #5 but can’t hardly ever finish it all haha. It’s like a meal replacement that’s supposedly healthy. Wish they opened earlier in the morning.

I’ve been to other bambu’s and I’m sure they’re just as good to other people, but this one stood out more to me than others?!
I got the number 1 most popular item (coconut juice, basil seeds, fresh fruit, some chewy delicious green boba thingies, and fresh coconut). BF & I really thoroughly enjoyed it, and was fighting for the last bits & pieces! I loved the coconut juice since it’s pretty light, and I also really liked the texture of the drink! Definitely can understand why it’s their most popular item.
I also tried the # 6 called Fruit Addict which is their 4^th most popular drink. It had coconut milk (making it slightly heavier and thicker in consistency) with tons of fruit. I wasn’t able to drink this until much later, but I kept it in the fridge, which may have changed the consistency. I thought it was just okay, I liked most of the fruit in the drink, but not all !
Overall I still give this place 5 stars because I haven’t tried their other drinks yet (but I am so excited to!) and I’m sure that if I had drank the drinks there, I would have definitely been more impressed with the Fruit addict. Basic take home point is get the #1!!! :)

I paid an extra dollar for a large and they couldn’t even fill the cup. Might as well get a small since I always get it filled. Lol

Highly recommend coffee place here in LA. One of the best coffee I’ve ever had is the Vietnamese it’s smooth and Creamy, and so refreshing.
All of their drinks at phenomenal and breath taking. My only complaint was the high prices, but I think even the prices are high but the quality of the coffee is worth it.
Sometimes this place is get crowded so expect a wait and ran a table as soon as someone gets up or just take your drink to go. I will definitely be back!

Bambu is popping up everywhere. They finally opened at the heart of SGV. There are a few locations around but i just never had the desire to make it in until my friend suggested this place. This dessert drink is different from your typical boba milk tea drinks. This place is known for the Vietnamese desserts. Average price is about $ 5. I was super confused what to get for the first time. The pictures they display all look very similar. The base drink is either coconut milk or coconut juice mixed with either lychee, panda jelly, mung beans, pearls, coconut jelly, grass jelly, palm seed, logan, etc.
Ambience was a bit loud and not a good place to catch up with friends. There were a few tables to sit but usually the seats were all taken. Overall this location was smaller than other locations and does get pretty packed after dinner and on the weekends.
Overall, I really didn’t like it too much. I felt it was more of a dessert than a drink. The dessert was super sweet and i was more thirsty after i was done with my dessert. All the toppings mixed together just didn’t have an distinct taste. I tried my friends drink and it taste pretty much about the same as mine.
Tip: Make sure you bring cash. They only accept credit card if you spend at least $ 10.
Parking lot is in the back but you can also park in the front on Valley Blvd.

So let’s just start off with what everyone already mentions… write a Unilocal review for 10% off! It was a little awkward when I thought I had to write the review on spot, but one of the employees said I was okay with just checking in. It would be a little awk for someone to write a review on spot.
The drink I got this time around was #2 [Awesome Trio]. Let’s just say, it was VERY filling. It had: Coconut Milk with Red, White & Mung Beans, Taro, and Pandan Jelly. These are essentially all of the most filling ingredients combined into one drink. The taste was heavily leaning on the red & mung bean area. I don’t think I’d get it again, but the drink I do like (and usually get) is #1 [Bambu Special], which has: Fresh Coconut Juice with Longan, Basil Seed, Coconut Meat, and Pandan Jelly. This one tastes much more fresh and is easier to drink. The coconut juice is great.
Bambu has a huge selection of drinks, not just che, and the prices are actually a little on the high side… but as far as I know, Bambu is the only chain selling this type of drink in so many different variations and flavors. And the taste of most of their drinks are really good. So for that, I think it earns 4-​stars.

Mmmm. I love coming here from time to time for refreshing dessert drinks. I usually get the #1 with coconut water & it always hits the spot. I love that they add basil seeds in the drink. However, lately I’ve been ordering #10 with coconut milk and jelly! This drink has the right textures that just balances out the taste in general. Not too sweet either! A bit on the pricer side for drinks tbh. I guess you’re paying for quality over quantity.
Major bonus that they have parking available on the street and a private parking lot in the back. However, this isn’t an ideal place to hang out. Ordering and seating area is a bit awkward, imo.

At first I was skeptical of the drink because I couldn’t imagine eating an actual drink and enjoying drinking it. I was definitely wrong. This place does live up to its hype and I would come back again for sure. I think it is kinda pricey for a drink, but at the same time I would still be okay with paying $ 5 for a dessert/​drink. It was also not as sweet, which is perfect because a lot of desserts icee flavors tend to be sweeter than what you would Wang them to be. Perfect consistency in their drinks too.

#1 is my favorite drink here. It’s so refreshing and perfect when it’s so hot outside. It’s not too sweet either.
Today, I encounter something that made me took off 2 stars. My drink is suppose to come in a dome lid, but it didn’t. Instead, it didn’t come with a lid at all. But, it’s super windy outside. How am I suppose to keep my drink from getting dirty without a lid?
After I ordered and paid for my drink. The lady came out with my drink (with the ice separated) asking if I was going to drink it right now? I told her yes. Then, she told me they ran out of the dome lid. (Ughh! Wished you told me this before I paid would be nice). After that, she just put one scoop of ice in my cup and just rushed to the back until I couldn’t see her after that… Are you kidding me? No sorry or nothing. Not even a word. What kind of customer service is that? (I know I’m asian and look young. that DOES NOT give you the right not to respect me).
I won’t be back to this location.
FYI: they give you 10% off your order if you check in Unilocal and give them good reviews. No wonder they have good reviews at this location. It’s a scam so beware of the reviews!!!

This place always hits the spot! The drinks and desserts are always so refreshing. It’s pretty cool how some add ons are free too, that just means more goodness. I always get the number one, but when I’m feeling a little thirstier than usual I get the penny worth drink with coconut, dank or what. Sometimes I debate on getting two desserts because my boyfriend always finishes his fast and starts reaching over to mine…
I could see this place getting packed because the location is pretty small, but since I come at odd hours of the day I never have to fight a crowd.
It is also street parking.
Service is always nice and efficient.

I’m impressed by the use of real and fresh fruit. I had the passion fruit drink. It was a little too sour for me and I wasn’t a fan of the seeds. I also tried the penny worth drink with the coconut pieces. That drink was very refreshing.

Nice clean place with lots of drinks to choose from. The parking is in the back or you can park on Valley Blvd. If you enter through the back, the entrance is to your left. The place is small, with around 4 to 6 small circular tables. Be prepared to take your drink to go. They have pictures of their popular drinks on the wall to help you decide what to order.
I’ve tried the three drinks here. The #6, #10 and the Pina Colada smoothie. The smoothie was very smoothie pretty good. It wasn’t too sweet, the flavor was balanced, and was pretty thick. I preferred the #6 over the #10. I like fruits, and the amount of fruits in that drink makes it my go-​to drink here. The #10 isn’t too bad either, but doesn’t have the amount of the fruity toppings as the #6.
Service here is pretty good. It can get busy here at times, and there were around a couple of people there when I went there 10 minutes after the place opened. Overall, I enjoyed the drinks here and I am definitely going to try more here.
