Health Diagnostics at 1180 Post St. Showed up on time, then waited a full hour, got called in to change into MRI pants, waited another 10 minutes and then was informed they don’t do knee MRI’s at that location. This after calling the 1 800 line and having them set me up with this location. Missed a whole morning on these bumpkins.

I went in to get an ultrasound and was told they would send me a bill. They have my address, phone number and email. Several months later I moved to a new address before receiving the bill. Then, 5 months after the procedure I start receiving letters from 2 different collection agencies about 2 separate bills. Such a hassle to clear this up when a simple phone call or email would suffice.

I understand that SimonMed Imaging Healthcare Facility has to be paid for services. However, the office manager and staff need to do a better job of making patients aware of costs ahead of time. In my case, they did not inform me up front about neither my co-​pay nor my deductible. In their words: «You should know your co-​pay and deductible. HOWEVER, we should have indeed informed you, but we didn’t». Their response was extremely unprofessional and defensive. Very, very shady practices. Certainly they wouldn’t want me to cancel my appointment and walk away.
Not being aware of charges ahead of time makes it very difficult to budget for healthcare expenses. It’s one thing to go to the doctor’s office with the expectation to pay $ 20-​$ 50 co-​pay. It is entirely different to be told you have to pay $ 500 for the deductible. I am filing a formal complaint with insurance company, state insurance administration & medical board.
